Abstract

Ketapang leaves are one of the leaves that are already known bioactive materials contained therein which can be utilized in aquaculture media. This study aims to analyze the use of ketapang (Termianal capta L.) leaf extract in water media on the hatchability of cork fish eggs (Channa striata). The research is expected to provide knowledge about the benefits of ketapang leaves in aquaculture media and the hatchability of cork fish eggs. The study was conducted at the Fish Seed Center (BBI) Bantimurung, Maros Regency. The test sample came from BBI Bantimurung. The study used 4 experimental methods with 3 replications each addition of ketapang leaf extract on water media, namely media without ketapang leaf extract (A), the addition of ketapang leaf extract 10 ppm (B), the addition of ketapang leaf extract 20 ppm (C), addition of 30 ppm ketapang leaf extract (D). The results showed that the treatment significantly affected the hatchability of cork fish eggs. The highest average hatchability of eggs in treatment D with a concentration of ketapang leaf extract was 30 ppm. Water quality parameters under optimal conditions, namely temperature 27.5-28 0C, pH 7.1-7.5, DO 4.5-5.5 ppm, NH3 0.001-0.016 ppm. Ketapang leaf extract can increase the hatchability of cork fish eggs to a concentration of 30 ppm.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship plays an important role in generating new wealth in an economy. The growth of entrepreneurial activities will produce innovation, create new jobs for the society, trigger economic growth, and reduce unemployment rates. Eentrepreneurship is a topic requiring a lot of attentions from academicians and researchers, especially the unemployment problem arising among undergraduate students. Therefore, the aim of this article was to have a good understanding on entrepreneurial talent and intention of undergraduate university students. The antecedent factor would be measuring students’ risk taking, persuading, ambition, performer, leadership, and business management skill behavior. The subjects of the study were undergraduate students who are majoring in English at the language education department and have attended five days workshop on economic literacy program conducted by Global Economic Awareness Project (GEAP) in 2019 academic year. This research study used quantative method and a research designed survey was administered to gather questions with answers associated with a 5-point Likert scale ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree. The questionnaires of the research used Fishbein and Ajzen’s Planned Behavior (TPB) theory, Shaver and Scott’s personal traits, and Bandura’s Self efficacy theory. The findings of the research reveal that ‘risk taking’ and ‘ambition’ factor had favorable results after students have attended short entrepreneurial course. Whereas, students’ still says “neutral” on ‘persuader’, ‘ambitious’, ‘performer’, ‘leadership’, and ‘business management factor’. It is safe to assume that students’ still had fair intention in developing their entrepreneurial interest because they have little to no experience on entreprenurial field in hand. Explicit real-life entrepreneurship related activities were recommended for future workshop to upgrade the student’s entrepreneurship talent and intention. The reality of life illustrates the low level of human concern on environment. In fact, it undeniably promotes environmental damage nationally and globally. Therefore, the ecosystem damage in various places and regions has become a serious threat to the survival of the life of the universe. Humans are closely related to nature and they have a great responsibility to protect the universe. In regard to this issue. This article provides an overview of the ideal human strategy, namely Insan Kamil, as a means of increasing awareness of our status as ‘Abdun and our role as caliph in instilling awareness of environmental love through Green Education. This study employed a qualitative approach in the form of literature study in collecting data. The result found that Insan Kamil is considered as a human who is trying to realize his status as a servant of Allah and his role as khalifatullah who has a Divine vision to worship Allah and they also have mission in maintaining natural order and prosperity of the environment. Through the approach of spiritual education, its strategy must be applied within family, school, and community.
