Abstract

The potential of MSMEs in Pamanuk Village, Carenang District, Serang Regency has the potential to improve the welfare of the surrounding community. However, unfortunately there are still many limitations possessed by MSME players, especially those operating in the micro sector, which means that the competitiveness of these MSMEs is weak. One of the results of observations and empirical studies in the field was that one of the weaknesses came from weak knowledge related to legal literacy and halal certification. For this reason, this research was carried out with the aim of providing understanding to MSME players regarding the legal entity status that MSMEs can have also how to obtain halal certification for those operating in the food and beverage sector. The method used is counseling and training for community groups as MSME actors who will later provide education to other communities about the procedures for obtaining legal entity status and brand right protection. The results of the research show that there have been significant changes in the benefits of managing legal entities in the MSME sector and in increasing the knowledge of MSME actors in Pamanuk Village

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the marketing approaches employed by MSME players, particularly in Serang City. A notable method they use is E-commerce, a digital means of purchasing and selling items. Over time, E-commerce has expanded and is gradually taking over traditional storefronts. This study utilizes a descriptive qualitative data analysis approach, focusing on portraying the situation as it stands without alterations or manipulation to the studied variables. The only intervention in the study is the research process itself, which involves observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that MSMEs in Serang City predominantly leverage E-commerce as a marketing tool, enhancing their product sales and proficiency

Abstract

Banana peel is a waste that is rarely used and thrown away. Therefore, it is necessary to find a treatment solution by utilizing banana peels into a product that is valuable and has selling value. Downstreaming has several benefits, namely to provide added value to products, create new jobs, and optimize the use of available natural resources. So it can minimize the waste produced. Thus, downstreaming can also provide environmental benefits and better sustainability of natural resources. The implementation of the dedication of lecturers and students through training in processing banana peel waste into fertilizer, was carried out in Pegandikan Village, Lebak Wangi District, Serang Regency. Participants in the training activity on processing banana peel waste into fertilizer were several residents of Pegandikan village who are members of the KUBE Berseri Waste Bank. This training activity is able to provide information and understanding that banana peel waste can still be utilized. One of them can be made into organic fertilizer. The success of the service team in raising the interest of Pegandikan villagers to start a new independent entrepreneur, namely the business of making pure banana peel fertilizer. The selection of ergonomic and simple packaging can be a solution in product packaging. With the label used, pay attention to honesty and be able to contain complete information. The packaging used is used bottles so as to reduce production costs. Sales, which are carried out through a point-of-sale system at various plant and fertilizer kiosks, are expected to be able to attract new partnerships for collaboration in the future. By offering attractive sales methods to consumers, namely by implementing a bundling system. A bundle package is made with other products such as pots, plants, or with other types of fertilizers. The KUBE Berseri Waste Bank members looked enthusiastic during the activity and looked happy when they succeeded in processing banana peel waste from start to finish. This can be seen from the creative ideas expressed by the participants regarding the development of homogeneous product compositions, which could one day be made heterogeneous. There are also several expressions related to product packaging innovation that are more interesting

Abstract

Cassava is a tuberous plant that can grow in the tropics with a hot and humid climate.  Tropical climates are needed by cassava for its growth process so that this plant cannot grow at temperatures below 10ºc. Cassava is a tuber or tree root that can grow on sandy to clay soil, as well as on low fertility soil. The length of cassava ranges from 15-30 cm with a relatively different diameter as well, which is 2-5 cm. Cassava has a skin consisting of two layers, the first layer is the outer skin while the second layer is the inner skin with white or yellowish flesh. In its production so far cassava chopper still uses human labor (manual). It would be better if the production of cassava chopper increases without ignoring the existing human aspects. Therefore, a machine is needed as a human aid in increasing the productivity of cassava chopper. The significant increase after the experiment means that the cassava chopper machine is able to help the existing chopper process

Abstract

The digital to analog converter module uses the binary weighted resistance method and the ladder method designed by Aries Kamolan makes it easy to convert data and see the process of changing digital data to analog data. By using this module, it is hoped that people will easily learn and be interested in this field and can distinguish digital data and analog data. The youth community who are members of the Bonggakaradeng Youth Association (HPBK) which is secretariat at BTN Risky housing, Kapasa sub-district, Tamalanrea sub-district, Makassar City,  were chosen to be partners in this service because there are still many communities who cannot distinguish digital data and analog data and the use of these data and how to convert digital data to analog. The solution overcomes this problem by providing counseling and training to them using digital to analog converter modules using the binary weighted resistance method and the ladder method. The goal is that partners can easily perform data conversion and see the process of converting digital data to analog and introduce electrical engineering in the community. This activity went well even though the number of participants was not too much, but it seemed enthusiastic for HPBK members to take part in this training. HPBK members also want to know the basics of electrical science and the various electrical components in the module. They also expect this kind of activity again.

Abstract

The health problems experienced by adolescents today are the triple burden of malnutrition, namely undernutrition, excess nutrition (obesity), and iron deficiency anemia. School is an environment that has an important role in conveying health information to adolescents. Therefore, it is necessary to empower youth cadres in schools so that nutritional status monitoring can be carried out independently and periodically. Community service activities were carried out at SMPN 1 Soppeng by involving 10 students as training participants. After being trained to measure nutritional status, students practice measuring other students. The measurement results illustrate that the average nutritional status of adolescents is normal (44%). However, the prevalence of wasting is quite high, reaching 32% and the prevalence of obesity is up to 24%. Therefore, the school needs to measure the nutritional status of students on a regular basis so that interventions can be carried out to improve the nutritional status of students so that healthy and achieving students can be produced

Abstract

This activity program is in partnership with the Andongsari Village Government, which is one of the villages supported by the University of Jember. The main problem in this village is the lack of knowledge and equipment that focuses on reducing the impact of flood risk, which means that flood events cannot be predicted accurately by the community. Based on these problems, the proposing team offered several solutions such as providing grants of equipment related to flood management, guidebooks for dealing with floods, training on early warning systems for flood disasters and efforts to introduce and preserve the environment. The method of implementing this activity is in several stages, which generally include: funding for equipment grants, training and simulation, mentoring, and activity evaluation. With the activities and equipment grants that have been carried out, the Village Government feels helped and has a better understanding of flood disaster risk mitigation, so that in the future it will be better prepared when facing floods
