Abstract

This research describes the relationship between malnutrition issues and stunting in children, with a focus on significant impacts on physical and mental development. Children experiencing stunting have lower average Intelligence Quotient (IQ) scores, affecting productivity and increasing the risk of degenerative diseases in the future. Data from the Ministry of Health indicates a concerning prevalence of stunting in Indonesia, exceeding the tolerance limits set by the World Health Organization. The province of Banten, in particular, shows significant stunting rates. Therefore, this research focuses on stunting prevention efforts through health promotion and community empowerment. Community engagement activities were conducted in Pulo Panjang Village, Serang Regency, involving observation, discussions, and the implementation of educational activities. Research findings indicate that community knowledge about stunting prevention is lacking, primarily due to insufficient support from village officials and limited access to healthcare professionals. During educational activities, leaflets were distributed, and materials were presented using infocus media to enhance community knowledge. Evaluation was performed through Q&A sessions to assess the extent of community understanding. Results from community engagement activities show that the community gained additional knowledge about stunting prevention, particularly through leaflets and educational materials. Awareness of the importance of handwashing with soap as a simple step in stunting prevention was also reinforced. Therefore, these activities are expected to increase community knowledge and awareness of stunting prevention, help reduce stunting rates in the region, and promote positive behavioral changes related to the nutrition and health of children

Abstract

Pancasila, as the foundation of the Indonesian state, emphasizes the importance of implementing moral and ethical values in societal life. One of the highly relevant values to highlight is the First Principle, "Belief in the One and Only God." Socializing the application of Pancasila's values, particularly the First Principle, poses a challenge that needs to be overcome in the digital and globalized era, especially for the younger generation. The generation familiar with technological advancements can be directed to understand and apply the First Principle in their daily lives. Socialization is conducted through engaging direct approaches. The results of the socialization, in the context of applying the values of the First Principle, involve guiding children to comprehend the significance of belief in the Almighty in their daily lives. By exploring the understanding of religious values, particularly through teaching prayers and the basic principles of Islamic beliefs and practices, they can develop an awareness of the existence of God and strengthen their spiritual values. The application of the First Principle enriches not only the religious dimension but also fosters attitudes of respect, tolerance, and harmony among individuals amidst cultural and belief diversity. Through direct interactions and engaging approaches, the younger generation can more easily internalize these values, bringing positive impacts in shaping their characters and considering the First Principle as a guide in facing the dynamics of modern life

Abstract

This study aims to explore students' understanding and participation of cooperatives at SMK Gajahmada Bandar Lampung, focusing on student perceptions, socialization of cooperatives by schools, and students' interest in participation in cooperatives. The methods used included in-depth interviews with three student informants and observation of school cooperative activities, to identify their level of understanding and participation in school cooperatives. The results showed that students' understanding of cooperatives is very limited, the majority only consider cooperatives as a place for purchasing school needs without understanding the basic principles and benefits of cooperatives as economic entities oriented to the interests of their members. This study also revealed that cooperative socialization by schools has not been effective, resulting in low interest of students to participate in cooperative activities. This research suggests the need to increase cooperative socialization and education efforts in schools, including the integration of cooperative education into the curriculum and the development of supportive extracurricular activities, to increase student understanding and participation in cooperatives. By strengthening cooperative education and socialization, students can gain a better understanding of the cooperative concept, increase their interest in getting involved, and tap into the potential of cooperatives as a means for economic learning and entrepreneurial skills development
