Abstract

The rapid expansion of coffee shops in Denpasar has intensified competition, making product differentiation increasingly difficult. As offerings become more homogeneous, digital interaction, brand personality, and viral marketing emerge as decisive factors in shaping consumer behavior. However, empirical studies examining how these elements jointly influence purchase intention particularly through the mediating role of brand awareness remain limited. This study aims to analyze the effects of brand personality and viral marketing on purchase intention by incorporating brand awareness as a mediating variable among coffee shop consumers in Denpasar. A quantitative approach was employed using a structured questionnaire administered to 119 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Respondents were required to be active social media users who had visited local coffee shops and had been exposed to digital promotional content. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate both direct and mediated relationships among variables. The findings reveal that brand personality and viral marketing each exert significant positive effects on brand awareness and purchase intention. Brand awareness also shows a strong and significant effect on purchase intention. Further analysis confirms that brand awareness effectively mediates the influence of brand personality and viral marketing on consumers’ intention to purchase. These results highlight the importance of establishing a compelling brand personality supported by engaging and shareable digital content to enhance brand visibility and strengthen consumer purchasing decisions in a highly competitive market.

Abstract

Industrial sector companies face increasing competitive pressure, making financial performance an essential indicator of operational efficiency and long-term sustainability. However, inconsistencies in previous empirical findings regarding the influence of capital structure, sales growth, and firm size highlight the need for further examination. This study aims to provide empirical evidence on how these three factors affect the financial performance of industrial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2020-2024. Using a quantitative associative approach, the research analyzes 120 observations from 24 companies selected through purposive sampling. Secondary data were obtained from audited annual reports and processed using descriptive statistics and panel data regression with Eviews-12. The findings show that, partially, sales growth has a significant positive effect on financial performance, while capital structure and firm size do not show a significant influence. Meanwhile, the simultaneous test indicates that capital structure, sales growth, and firm size collectively have a significant effect on financial performance. These results suggest that improvements in financial performance within the industrial sector are more strongly driven by the ability to increase sales rather than by capital structure decisions or firm size.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital platforms has encouraged many Generation Z workers to pursue flexible income sources, including becoming TikTok affiliators. Although this profession is often perceived as a symbol of freedom in the Gig Economy, previous studies have not examined how affiliator work may also shape consumption pressure and trigger emotional spending patterns such as Doom Spending. This study aims to explore the experiences of Gen Z affiliators in navigating platform-based work, building consumer trust, and managing the psychological and economic uncertainties embedded in algorithm-driven systems. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation involving five affiliators, four consumers, and one business owner whose products were promoted through TikTok Affiliate. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis supported by NVivo 15. The findings show that affiliators are motivated by flexible work arrangements, income expectations, and opportunities for creative expression. Soft-selling techniques and trend-based visual content are used to build engagement and trust, while authenticity remains central to gaining consumer confidence. However, the study also reveals a strong dependence on algorithmic visibility, income instability, and emotional pressure to stay relevant in fast-moving digital trends. These conditions contribute to the emergence of FOMO and impulsive consumption, reinforcing Doom Spending among Gen Z. The study highlights how affiliator work functions not only as an economic activity but also as a cultural practice that shapes identity, consumption patterns, and financial vulnerability in the Gig Economy.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of accounts receivable turnover, capital structure, and managerial ownership on firm value in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019-2024 period. The research was conducted using a quantitative associative approach with purposive sampling, resulting in 23 companies as the final sample. Secondary data were obtained from published annual reports, and the analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The findings show that accounts receivable turnover does not have a significant effect on firm value, indicating that the speed of receivable collection is not a determining factor for market valuation within the observed period. Capital structure has a positive and significant effect on firm value, suggesting that the composition of debt and equity plays an important role in shaping investors’ perceptions. Meanwhile, managerial ownership does not significantly influence firm value, which may be related to the relatively low proportion of shares owned by management in the sampled firms. Overall, the three variables have a significant effect on firm value when tested simultaneously. These results highlight the importance of financial structure in determining firm value while suggesting that internal ownership and receivable efficiency alone do not provide strong market signals.

Abstract

Indonesia’s economic performance over the past two decades has been shaped by persistent monetary fluctuations, particularly in inflation, policy interest rates, and the Rupiah exchange rate. These dynamics have contributed to recurring volatility in output and created challenges for maintaining stable and inclusive growth. This study aims to examine both the short-run and long-run effects of key monetary variables inflation, the BI policy rate, and the exchange rate on Indonesia’s economic growth during 2000-2023. Using annual macroeconomic data from BPS and Bank Indonesia, the analysis employs an Error Correction Model (ECM) to capture long-term equilibrium relationships and to identify adjustment patterns following short-term shocks. The results indicate a stable long-run cointegrating relationship among the variables. Inflation and the policy rate exert significant negative effects on economic growth, with their long-run impacts being stronger than their short-run influences. In contrast, Rupiah depreciation shows a modest but positive long-run association with growth, reflecting the role of external competitiveness. The error-correction term demonstrates a meaningful and gradual adjustment toward long-run equilibrium, suggesting that deviations from stability are corrected over time. Overall, the findings highlight the importance of maintaining credible price stability, calibrating interest-rate decisions carefully, and managing exchange-rate movements to support sustainable economic expansion. The study underscores that consistent and coordinated monetary policy remains essential for strengthening Indonesia’s long-term growth resilience.

Abstract

The rapid development of Indonesia’s pawnshop industry has increased operational complexity and exposed companies to diverse risks that, if not well managed, may disrupt service quality and business continuity. Although pawnshop institutions are required to adopt structured risk management aligned with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), many still rely on fragmented practices that depend heavily on managerial judgment. This study aims to analyze the adequacy of the risk management system implemented by a pawnshop company in Jakarta and identify the dominant risks affecting its daily operations. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using in-depth interviews with unit leadership, direct observations of service processes, and supporting secondary data such as financial reports and historical collateral trends. Risk identification and assessment were conducted through the ERM framework, using a likelihood impact matrix to classify operational, strategic, financial, and external risks. The results show that several high-risk exposures persist, including counterfeit gold items, appraisal inaccuracies related to digital system errors, cybersecurity threats, credit and auction challenges, and volatility in gold market prices. The findings also reveal that existing mitigation efforts remain partially integrated due to the absence of a dedicated risk management unit. Strengthening internal controls, improving appraisal and digital capabilities, and enhancing cybersecurity preparedness are essential to achieving more consistent service quality and reducing vulnerability to unexpected losses.

Abstract

Regional financial management in Indonesia continues to face challenges related to transparency, accountability, and the effectiveness of internal control, despite regular external oversight carried out by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK). These issues are also reflected in the financial governance of Manggarai Barat Regency, an area experiencing rapid economic growth driven by the development of Labuan Bajo as a national tourism destination. This study aims to examine the role of BPK’s audit in strengthening the quality of regional financial reporting and improving revenue governance in Manggarai Barat. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study design, the research analyzes audit documents, relevant regulations, and secondary literature to understand the audit process, key findings, and the extent of follow-up actions taken by the local government. The results show that the Regency has consistently received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP), indicating compliance with Government Accounting Standards. However, BPK still identified several weaknesses, particularly related to inadequate work volume, uncollected late penalties, and overpayments in certain local government units. These findings highlight that, although formal financial reporting is sound, operational practices require further improvement. BPK’s recommendations have encouraged the strengthening of internal control, better administrative discipline, and improvements in the management of regional revenue. Overall, the audit plays an essential role in guiding the local government toward more transparent, accountable, and effective financial governance.

Abstract

This study explores the concept of distributive justice during the era of Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab and examines its relevance to current economic inequality in Indonesia. The urgency of this topic arises from Indonesia’s persistent income disparities, as reflected in fluctuating but relatively high Gini ratios in recent years. The research aims to analyze how Umar’s fiscal principles, rooted in fairness, accountability, and social welfare, can offer meaningful insights for improving contemporary economic distribution. Using a qualitative approach through library research, the study reviews classical Islamic sources, historical records, and recent statistical data. The findings indicate that Umar’s economic governance, particularly the management of the Bayt al-Mal, equitable taxation, and systematic allocation of public resources, reflects a model of distributive justice that prioritizes social balance and public welfare. When compared with Indonesia’s inequality trends, these principles provide relevant reference points, especially regarding transparent fiscal management, strengthened welfare mechanisms, and productive public expenditure. The study concludes that Umar’s values can inspire policy directions aimed at reducing economic disparities and enhancing inclusive development in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study analyzes how product quality, price, and brand image influence repurchase intention, with consumer satisfaction acting as a mediating variable in the context of Uniqlo products. Competition in Indonesia’s fashion retail sector has intensified, especially among Generation Z consumers who are highly responsive to value perception and brand experience. Understanding the drivers that shape their repurchase behavior is therefore essential. Data were obtained through an online survey completed by 189 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The analysis employed Partial Least Squares (PLS) through SmartPLS 4 to assess both measurement and structural models. The results indicate that product quality, price fairness, and brand image each contribute positively to consumer satisfaction. Furthermore, consumer satisfaction and product quality significantly strengthen repurchase intention. Brand image shows both a direct effect on repurchase intention and an indirect influence through consumer satisfaction as a mediating factor. The model also demonstrates strong predictive relevance, highlighting the importance of these variables in explaining repeat purchasing behavior. These findings reinforce the role of perceived value and brand credibility in maintaining consumer loyalty within the competitive fashion retail landscape.

Abstract

This study investigates how work discipline, work motivation, and the work environment influence employee performance at PT Wahyu Jaya Textile in Denpasar. The company faces internal challenges related to productivity and performance management, making the evaluation of these factors essential. A quantitative approach was applied using a census sampling technique, involving all 33 employees as respondents. Data were collected through an ordinal-scaled questionnaire and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that work discipline and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, indicating that consistent adherence to rules and strong internal drive contribute directly to higher performance. Meanwhile, the work environment does not show a significant effect, suggesting that variations in physical and non-physical working conditions are not the main determinant of performance within the company. The simultaneous test confirms that all three variables collectively influence performance, with an R² value of 0.660, meaning 66% of performance variation is explained by the model. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening discipline and motivation as key strategies to improve employee performance at PT Wahyu Jaya Textile.
