Abstract

The growing reliance on Electronic Health Records (EHR) in Indonesian hospitals raises concerns over data security, especially after recent national incidents highlighting vulnerabilities in public information systems. Hermina Pasteur Hospital, as part of a digitally integrated hospital network, must ensure that its internal controls adequately protect patient data and support reliable service delivery. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls governing the hospital’s EHR using the COSO Internal Control Integrated Framework and the COBIT 2019 Maturity Model. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods design was applied, combining quantitative assessments through a COSO-based questionnaire with qualitative insights from observations and interviews with key personnel. The integration of both approaches allowed for a more grounded interpretation of control practices and their implementation. The findings show that the hospital’s EHR controls are at the “Managed” maturity level, where several procedures are in place but not yet fully standardized or consistently documented. Strengths were observed in risk assessment, whereas weaknesses appeared mainly in control activities and accountability practices. These results indicate that improvements in control environment, documentation practices, and monitoring mechanisms are necessary to strengthen the overall reliability of EHR governance.

Abstract

This study addresses the inconsistent cost calculations and unclear cost classifications found in UMKM Bakso H. Lili, which have created pricing decisions that are not fully aligned with actual production conditions. The research aims to compare the full costing and traditional costing methods, clarify the distinction between fixed and variable costs, and provide a more reliable basis for determining production costs. A descriptive quantitative case study approach was applied, using data collected through semi-structured interviews and documentation of production expenditures. The analysis involved classifying cost components and calculating production costs under both methods. The full costing method resulted in a total production cost of Rp186,599,192, while the traditional method produced Rp183,934,500. Unit costs were Rp10,663 and Rp10,511, respectively. The difference arises from the exclusion of fixed manufacturing overhead in the traditional method, indicating that full costing offers a more complete representation of actual costs. These findings suggest that adopting the full costing method provides more accurate cost information for setting realistic selling prices and improving managerial decision-making within UMKM Bakso H. Lili.

Abstract

Bali’s rapid growth in private villa tourism has intensified competition among accommodation providers, where similar villa concepts often result in differing occupancy levels. This gap indicates that digital marketing strategies may influence guests’ stay decisions in varying ways. This study investigates the effects of influencer marketing, social media marketing, and service quality on stay decisions, and examines the moderating role of narrative marketing in strengthening these relationships. A quantitative explanatory design was applied using purposive sampling, involving 94 respondents who had stayed at Magic Hills Villa in Karangasem, Bali. Data were obtained through an online questionnaire using a ten-point Likert scale and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The analysis included assessments of validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing through bootstrapping. The results show that influencer marketing, social media marketing, and service quality each exert a positive and significant influence on stay decisions. Narrative marketing significantly reinforces the effect of influencer marketing but does not moderate the influence of social media marketing or service quality. These findings highlight that authentic storytelling enhances the persuasive impact of influencers, while guest experiences and social media interactions remain primarily shaped by service encounters and platform dynamics.

Abstract

Employee job satisfaction is often shaped by the balance between personal and professional demands, the quality of the work environment, and the efficiency with which daily tasks are completed. This study examines how work-life balance, work environment, and work efficiency influence job satisfaction among employees of Sadara Resort. A quantitative approach was applied using a saturated sampling technique, involving all 106 active employees. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The findings reveal that work-life balance shows a positive yet statistically insignificant relationship with job satisfaction, indicating that balance alone does not strongly determine employees’ attitudes toward their work. In contrast, both work environment and work efficiency demonstrate positive and significant effects on job satisfaction. Together, the three variables contribute 64.6% to the overall model. These results suggest that improving physical and organizational work conditions, along with enhancing operational efficiency, plays a more prominent role in strengthening job satisfaction within the hospitality sector, particularly in resort-based workplaces.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the mobile gaming industry in Indonesia has increased competition among MOBA games, making player retention a major challenge. Many players switch to competing titles due to content fatigue and limited social interaction. This study aims to analyze the effects of content design and community interaction on player engagement and player loyalty among Mobile Legends: Bang Bang users in Denpasar City. Using a purposive sampling approach, data were collected from 180 active players through a structured questionnaire and analyzed with SmartPLS 4. The findings show that both content design and community interaction significantly enhance player engagement, which in turn positively influences player loyalty. Content design and community interaction also exhibit direct positive effects on loyalty. Furthermore, player engagement is found to mediate the relationship between each independent variable and player loyalty. These results highlight the importance of innovative content and supportive community environments in strengthening long-term player commitment.

Abstract

Customers' purchasing decisions have been altered by the growing intensity of social media use, especially among Generation Z, who are very sensitive to social cues and digital trends. Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) is one psychological phenomena that arises from this setting and may have an impact on consumer behavior beyond logical considerations. The purpose of this study is to examine how social media marketing influences Generation Z customers' purchasing decisions in Denpasar, Indonesia, using FOMO as a mediating variable. A survey with 130 respondents chosen by purposive sampling was used in a quantitative manner. Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to examine the data. The findings show that FOMO and purchasing decisions are positively and significantly impacted by social media marketing. Furthermore, FOMO significantly influences purchase decisions and partially mediates the relationship between Social Media Marketing and purchase decisions. These findings highlight that effective social media marketing not only relies on engaging content but also triggers emotional and psychological responses that strengthen consumers’ purchasing tendencies. The study provides practical insights for marketers in designing emotionally driven social media strategies targeted at Generation Z.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of consumer trust in mediating the influence of price and consumer ratings on online purchase intention of Balinese traditional clothing. Using an explanatory quantitative approach, the research was conducted in Badung Regency involving 160 respondents who have purchased Balinese traditional clothing online. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results show that: (1) price has no significant direct effect on purchase intention; (2) consumer rating has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention; (3) both price and rating have a positive significant effect on consumer trust; and (4) consumer trust has a positive significant effect on purchase intention. Furthermore, consumer trust acts as a full mediator between price and purchase intention, and as a partial mediator between rating and purchase intention. These findings indicate that in the context of digitally marketed cultural products, consumer trust is a key factor more critical than direct price considerations. This study provides a theoretical contribution to digital consumer behavior literature for traditional products and practical implications for MSMEs to build trust through price transparency, improved product quality, and management of positive reviews to enhance purchase intention.

Abstract

Consumer buying habits have changed as a result of the growth of social commerce, especially with TikTok Shop's interactive features like live streaming and AI-powered recommendations. However, there are still conflicting scientific results about their efficacy and the significance of trust. The purpose of this study is to investigate how AI-powered recommendations and live streaming affect consumers' decisions to buy, using customer trust as a mediating factor among Generation Z consumers in Denpasar City. Purposive sampling was used in a quantitative study design with 144 participants who had previously made purchases on TikTok Shop after viewing live streaming sessions and getting AI-based suggestions. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to examine the data. The findings demonstrate that while live streaming has a favorable and considerable impact on purchasing decisions, AI-powered recommendations have a positive but negligible effect. Live streaming and AI-powered recommendations both greatly increase consumer trust. It's interesting to note that the relationship between independent variables and purchase decisions is weakened by consumer trust, which has a negative and significant impact on decisions. These results imply that while personalization and interaction enhance the user experience, trust does not always result in instantaneous purchases. The study emphasizes the necessity of increased authenticity and transparency in social commerce to guarantee that trust serves as a motivator rather than a hindrance to purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study addresses the growing challenge of declining innovative work behavior among employees amid the emerging phenomenon of job hugging, where individuals remain in their positions despite limited satisfaction and development opportunities. The primary objective of this research is to examine the effects of transformational and transactional leadership on innovative work behavior, with organizational commitment serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using survey data collected from 500 formal-sector employees working in private companies in Jakarta. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3 to assess the measurement and structural models, including validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that transformational leadership has a strong and positive effect on innovative work behavior, both directly and indirectly through organizational commitment. Transactional leadership also shows a positive but relatively weaker influence, primarily through structured reward mechanisms. Furthermore, organizational commitment significantly mediates the relationship between leadership styles and innovative work behavior. These findings highlight the critical role of effective leadership in fostering employee commitment and sustaining innovation, particularly in organizational environments characterized by high retention but limited mobility.
