Abstract

Memorizing the Qur’an is a very honourable act. Since the Qur’an was revealed, an increasing number of people have committed it to memory. They pay special attention to the Qur’an, devoting their time, energy, and thoughts to preserving it. But it’s not simple to memorize the Qur’an. It is very important to prepare well because there will be challenges that arise during the memorization process. The case study technique serves as the methodological basic for this qualitative investigation. Facts, symptoms, issues, and events that naturally arise in the field are anticipated to be analysed and interpreted using the qualitative approach Overall, Shuffah Al Fatah Islamic Boarding School’s Al-Qur’an memorization curriculum has demonstrated extensive success. This program not only produces individuals who memorize the Qur’an, but also shapes the character of students who excel in spiritual, intellectual, and social aspects. This success confirms that an educational model that combines mastery of religious knowledge with character building in a supportive environment can produce human resources with noble character and a positive role in society. The results of the study indicate that four main management roles are used to administer Al-Qur’an memorization instruction in Shuffah Al Fatah Islamic Boarding School

Abstract

This study investigates the types and functions of speech acts used by characters in the novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling. Using Searle’s classification of speech act assertives, directives, commissives, expressives, and declarations the research identifies how these linguistic forms contribute to character development, plot progression, and interpersonal dynamics within the story. Through qualitative descriptive methods, selected dialogues are analyzed to determine the intentions behind utterances and the effects they produce on other characters. The findings reveal that assertive and directive speech acts dominate the narrative, reflecting the novel’s themes of conflict, persuasion, and cooperation. Moreover, expressive and commissive acts highlight emotional depth and commitment among characters, while declarations appear less frequently due to the fantasy setting's context of authority and magical institutions. Overall, this study demonstrates that speech acts play a crucial role in shaping narrative meaning and enhancing readers’ understanding of character motivations and relationships in the final installment of the Harry Potter series

Abstract

Urban forests are strategic components of urban green space systems because they provide ecological, recreational, and educational functions that collectively support sustainable urban environmental quality. This study aims to formulate an ideal model of an urban forest concept as a sustainable educational tourism site based on empirical findings derived from visitor perceptions and the ecological conditions of the Pekanbaru Urban Forest. The research employed a simple mixed-method approach dominated by descriptive quantitative analysis involving 96 respondents, complemented by ecological observations and in-depth interviews with site managers. The results indicate that cleanliness and comfort received positive assessments (scores 4.21 and 4.12), whereas environmental education facilities (3.88), educational activities (3.45), and promotional efforts (3.22) fell within the moderate to low categories. These findings highlight a significant gap between the ecological potential of the area and the development of its educational functions. A synthesis of empirical data and theoretical insights produced six components of the ideal urban forest concept: (1) adaptive ecology, (2) environmental education facilities, (3) interpretive trails, (4) sustainable educational tourism programs, (5) inclusive accessibility, and (6) collaborative governance. Policy analysis further demonstrates that strengthening the educational function aligns with the mandates of Law No. 26/2007 on Spatial Planning, SDG 11.7 targets regarding inclusive green spaces, and the Pekanbaru Strategic Environmental Assessment (KLHS) emphasizing the enhancement of environmental quality. This study concludes that the integration of ecological planning, educational development, and collaborative governance forms the essential foundation for positioning urban forests as centers of sustainable environmental learning

Abstract

Regional head elections with a single candidate pair are a consequence of the dynamic legal framework for regional elections in Indonesia, particularly after the Constitutional Court, through Decision Number 100/PUU-XIII/2015, permitted the implementation of regional elections with a single candidate as an effort to ensure the continuity of democracy. However, the high nomination threshold has led to an increase in the number of single candidate pairs, thus creating a gap in the number of democratic control by the public. This research seeks to identify and examine the regulatory framework governing regional head elections involving a single candidate pair both prior to and following the issuance of The Constitutional Court ruling No. 60/PUU-~II/2024, as well as to analyze the legal politics underlying such elections based on the prevailing regulations. The study employs a normative juridical method, utilizing statutory and conceptual approaches. The analysis is conducted through the examination of legal materials by interpreting, evaluating, and critically reviewing relevant laws and regulations, alongside other pertinent legal sources. The findings reveal significant regulatory developments in regional head elections subsequent to the Constitutional Court’s decision. The previously stringent nomination threshold set at 20% of DPRD seats or 25% of valid votes was reduced to a tiered threshold of 10%, 8.5%, 7.5%, and 6.5%, adjusted according to the size of the Final Voters List (DPT). Furthermore, the study highlights that the existence of blank columns signifies regulatory deficiencies, as they do not constitute legal subjects possessing rights and obligations, thereby potentially giving rise to uncertainty in governance. The Constitutional Court’s decision is regarded as a legal product that demonstrates a responsive orientation toward democratization needs; however, it has not yet achieved full responsiveness, as ambiguities remain concerning its authority and implications. In general, this decision reflects a trajectory of legal development that increasingly aligns with the ideals of ius constituendum.

Abstract

The use of third-party collateral in loan agreements is a common practice in Indonesia, yet it becomes legally complex when the principal debtor is declared bankrupt. This research examines the legal status of third-party collateral and the scope of the curator's authority in bankruptcy proceedings under Articles 55–60 of Law No. 37 of 2004, focusing on the interpretation of the phrase "the object serving as collateral" in Article 59(2) and the accountability obligations imposed on secured creditors under Article 60(1). This study employs a normative juridical method with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches, using Decision No. 9/Pdt.Sus-GLL/2024/PN.Niaga.Jkt.Pst as the primary case study. The findings indicate that although collateral owned by third parties is not part of the bankruptcy estate, the curator retains substitutive authority to liquidate such collateral when the secured creditor fails to execute its rights within the prescribed time limit. This authority does not extinguish the third party's ownership rights; proceeds from the sale must first satisfy the secured creditor's claim, and any surplus must be returned to the owner. The obligation of accountability under Article 60(1) demonstrates that the execution of secured rights affects the value of claims previously registered by the secured creditor with the curator, thereby establishing a structural relationship between secured rights and accountability obligations. The 2024 decision affirms that the curator's act of listing and coordinating third-party collateral does not constitute an unlawful act, provided it is conducted for orderly and accountable liquidation purposes. Accordingly, harmonizing the rights of secured creditors, the supervisory authority of the curator, and the protection of collateral owners is essential for establishing legal certainty in Indonesian bankruptcy practice.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of Universal Picture Card Media (UPCM) in enhancing elementary school students’ public speaking skills through a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design. The participants consisted of 20 students aged 10–12 years from SD Muhammadiyah 2 Sorong City, selected using purposive sampling and divided equally into experimental and control groups. Students’ speaking performance was assessed based on six indicators: pronunciation accuracy, fluency, grammatical accuracy, coherence and cohesion, clarity of message delivery, and confidence in social interaction. Data were collected through structured speaking tests, classroom observations, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the nonparametric Mann–Whitney U test due to non-normal data distribution in one dataset. The results revealed a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups (U = 0.000; Z = −3.791; p < 0.05). The experimental group’s mean score increased substantially from 21.70 in the pretest to 48.50 in the posttest, representing a 26.80% improvement. In contrast, the control group showed only a marginal increase from 23.00 to 24.40. The most notable improvement in the experimental group was observed in fluency (M = 4.40) and confidence and social interaction (M = 4.40), while coherence and cohesion demonstrated the greatest developmental progression across cycles. Pronunciation accuracy showed improvement but remained the lowest indicator compared to others. The intervention was implemented over three cycles and three meetings, integrating storytelling, singing activities, educational games, and structured debriefing sessions. These findings demonstrate that UPCM provides effective visual scaffolding that significantly enhances students’ structured expression, fluency, and communicative confidence in public speaking contexts.

Abstract

Clean water availability is a fundamental requirement for human life and socio-economic development, particularly in rural areas that have not been adequately served by drinking water supply systems. Dusun Lebaho Lais, located in Jembayan Dalam Village, Loa Kulu District, faces challenges in accessing sufficient and sustainable clean water due to population growth and limited infrastructure. This study aims to analyze population growth, estimate future clean water demand, and determine the required reservoir capacity to support the planning of a Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) in the area. The research applied a quantitative descriptive method using both primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct field observations, while secondary data were collected from village records, government agencies, statistical reports, and relevant literature. Population projection was conducted using the Arithmetic Method based on population data from 2015 to 2024, with projections extended to 2035. The suitability of the projection method was evaluated using standard deviation and correlation coefficient analysis. The results show that the Arithmetic Method produced a standard deviation value of 81.747 and a correlation coefficient of 1, indicating a perfect positive correlation and high reliability. The population of Dusun Lebaho Lais was recorded at 4,544 persons in 2024 and is projected to increase to 4,858 persons by 2035, with an average annual growth rate of 1%. Based on rural water consumption standards, the projected clean water demand in 2035 is estimated at 242,889 liters per day or 242.889 m³/day. The reservoir capacity analysis indicates that a reservoir with a volume of 84.86 m³, a diameter of 6 meters, and a height of 3 meters, requiring only three reservoir units, are sufficient to support the projected water demand. These findings confirm that the planned reservoir design can adequately meet future clean water needs and support sustainable water supply development in Dusun Lebaho Lais.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of service performance capabilities, service encounters, and storynomics tourism on customer delight, with memorable tourism experiences acting as a mediating variable. Grounded in the view that emotionally meaningful tourism experiences extend beyond conventional satisfaction, this explanatory study was conducted in Madiun City, East Java, Indonesia. Data were collected from 250 tourists using structured questionnaires measured on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that service performance capabilities and storynomics tourism do not have a significant direct effect on customer delight, but both significantly enhance memorable tourism experiences. In contrast, service encounters exert a significant direct influence on both memorable tourism experiences and customer delight. Furthermore, memorable tourism experiences have a strong positive effect on customer delight and fully mediate the relationships between service-related variables and customer delight. The findings show that service performance capabilities (O = 0.032, p = 0.586) and storynomics tourism (O = 0.076, p = 0.197) do not have a significant direct effect on customer delight, although both significantly enhance memorable tourism experiences (O = 0.439 and O = 0.360, respectively; p = 0.000). Service encounters, however, have a significant positive impact on both memorable tourism experiences (O = 0.287, p = 0.000) and customer delight (O = 0.164, p = 0.000). Memorable tourism experiences strongly predict customer delight (O = 0.446, p = 0.000) and fully mediate the effects of service-related variables. These findings underscore the strategic importance of experience-based value creation and provide empirical support for service-dominant logic within the tourism context.

Abstract

Tooth extraction is a common procedure in primary care and has the potential to cause post-operative complications if patients do not understand the aftercare instructions properly. Standardised and easy-to-understand educational media are needed to reinforce patients' knowledge of post-extraction care. This study aimed to assess the improvement in patients' knowledge after tooth extraction following education using KAPE PAGI flashcards at the Galis Community Health Centre, Bangkalan Regency. The study used a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design on 24 patients after tooth extraction. Knowledge was measured using a questionnaire before the intervention (pretest) and after the provision of education (posttest). Data were analysed descriptively and the pretest–posttest difference was tested using a paired t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the mean knowledge score increased from 62.1 ± 12.0 on the pretest to 80.2 ± 10.1 on the posttest, with a difference of 18.1 ± 15.0 points. The paired t-test showed a significant difference (t(23)=5.91; p<0.001) with a large effect size (d=1.21). These findings indicate that education using KAPE PAGI-based flashcards is associated with an increase in patient knowledge after tooth extraction in a primary care setting. The integration of flashcards into the post-procedure education SOP, as well as training and monitoring of implementation, is recommended. Further research with a control group and follow-up on knowledge retention is needed to strengthen the evidence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing and electronic word of mouth (E-WoM) on repurchase intention through brand trust among Feel Matcha consumers in Surabaya. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 101 active TikTok users who had purchased Feel Matcha products and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results indicate that digital marketing significantly influences repurchase intention (β = 0.256; p = 0.035) and brand trust (β = 0.375; p < 0.001). Likewise, E-WoM has a stronger significant effect on repurchase intention (β = 0.415; p = 0.001) and brand trust (β = 0.526; p < 0.001). However, brand trust does not significantly mediate the effect of digital marketing (β = 0.044; p = 0.394) or E-WoM (β = 0.062; p = 0.400) on repurchase intention. These findings indicate that consumer repurchase decisions are driven more by the attractiveness, authenticity, and credibility of TikTok content than by long-term trust formation. The study contributes to consumer behavior theory in digital platform contexts and offers practical insights for optimizing TikTok-based marketing strategies to strengthen customer loyalty.
