Abstract

This study aims to analyze early childhood education (ECE) teachers’ understanding of sex education by examining three key indicators: fundamental knowledge, attitudes, and the readiness of instructional media and learning materials. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, data were collected from ECE teachers via structured questionnaires and subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics. Data were collected from 57 early childhood teachers in Bandung using a total sampling technique. The findings show that teachers’ overall understanding of sex education falls into the moderate category. In terms of fundamental knowledge, 96% of teachers demonstrated a high level of conceptual understanding, with a mean score of 42.28 out of 45, indicating strong awareness of body safety and privacy principles. Teachers also exhibited positive attitudes toward implementing sex education, with 65% categorized as high and 30% as moderate. However, the study reveals significant challenges in the readiness of instructional media, with 53% of teachers in the moderate category and 23% in the low category due to limited access to appropriate storybooks, visual aids, and educational videos. The study concludes that although teachers possess strong conceptual knowledge and supportive attitudes, the lack of adequate learning materials hinders optimal implementation. Strengthening institutional support and providing developmentally appropriate media are essential to improving sex education practices in ECE settings

Abstract

The implementation of electronic government represents a strategic effort by local governments to improve the quality of public services. One such implementation in Situbondo Regency is the Integrated Online Service System (SIPINTER), which functions as a web-based platform for non-business licensing services. SIPINTER is expected to facilitate access to services while supporting transparency and efficiency in the licensing process. This study aims to analyze the quality of the SIPINTER website based on user perceptions using the Webqual 4.0 method, which includes the dimensions of usability, information quality, and service interaction quality. The research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collected through structured questionnaires distributed to SIPINTER users. Data analysis is conducted using descriptive statistics to describe the quality of the website across each dimension. The results indicate that the quality of the SIPINTER website is perceived as good across all measured dimensions. The website is relatively easy to use, the information provided is considered relevant to user needs, and users demonstrate a satisfactory level of trust in the system as an official government service, despite certain technical limitations. Overall, the SIPINTER website is perceived as highly qualified across the three Webqual 4.0 dimensions based on users’ perceptions, although certain aspects still require improvement. This finding indicates that although the quality of the SIPINTER website is perceived as very good by users, the overall success of licensing services is not determined solely by the quality of the digital platform. The high rate of application rejections is more likely influenced by administrative factors, such as incomplete documentation or non-compliance with required procedures, rather than by the technical aspects of the website itself.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between work-life balance and psychological well-being among Generation Z employees at PT X. The background of this research stems from the phenomenon that many Gen Z employees experience low psychological well-being despite maintaining a relatively balanced work and personal life. This research employed a quantitative correlational method involving 120 Gen Z employees from the Quality Control (QC) division at PT X. Data were collected through online questionnaires using the Work-Life Balance Scale by Fisher et al. (2009) and Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale (1989). The results of the Spearman’s rho correlation test revealed a significant negative relationship between work-life balance and psychological well-being (r = -0.322; p < 0.05). This indicates that a higher level of work-life balance is associated with lower psychological well-being, and vice versa. The findings suggest that achieving balance between work and personal life does not necessarily enhance psychological well-being without additional factors such as supportive work environments, social support, and opportunities for self-development. These results can serve as a reference for companies to design policies that promote the psychological well-being of Gen Z employees.

Abstract

Postpartum hemorrhage remains a major contributor to maternal mortality. Engaging in postpartum exercise is one preventive measure, as it stimulates uterine contractions and helps reduce bleeding. However, many postpartum mothers are reluctant to perform these exercises due to pain perception and fear of movement. Providing health education during pregnancy is a potential strategy to increase their interest. This study aimed to analyze the effect of video-based health education on pregnant women’s interest in postpartum exercise. The research applied a quantitative pre-experimental approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The population consisted of third-trimester pregnant women (>37 weeks gestation) in the working area of the Blabak Community Health Center. A total of 34 respondents were selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated 22-item questionnaire administered before and after the intervention. The intervention involved structured health education delivered through video media, and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with a significance level of 0.05. The findings indicated a statistically significant increase in interest in postpartum exercise after the intervention (p = 0.001). It can be concluded that video-based health education is effective in enhancing pregnant women’s interest in performing postpartum exercise after childbirth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the responsibility of financial sector business actors (PUSK) in providing inclusive financial services for persons with disabilities. The main focus of this study is the SETARA Guidelines on Accessible Financial Services for Empowered Persons with Disabilities, issued by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as a reference. The method used is normative juridical with a regulatory approach, through a literature study of laws, regulations, and related policy documents, including Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities. The study’s results show that the SETARA Guidelines have comprehensively formulated accessibility principles across six service aspects: physical infrastructure, digital infrastructure, service sensitivity, document accessibility, complaint mechanisms, and assistance. However, the implementation of these guidelines still depends on the commitment of each PUSK. This may potentially create access gaps for consumers with disabilities and does not yet guarantee the fulfillment of their rights to equal financial services. The study recommends integrating the principles of the SETARA Guidelines into mandatory regulations and strengthening the role of the OJK in compliance supervision. These efforts are necessary as part of the transformation towards an inclusive and equitable national financial system.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the valuation of electronic waste in DKI Jakarta using the Total Economic Value (TEV) approach to support circular economy implementation. The analysis compares direct value, indirect value, and standardized prices, while also evaluating the relevance of the TEV approach for economic decision-making among electronic waste management actors, particularly collectors. The study employed a cross-sectional mixed-methods design with data collected through field observations, transaction price records, document analysis, and questionnaires involving informal e-waste collectors. Descriptive statistical analysis using mean values and standard deviation was combined with TEV calculations to estimate the comprehensive economic value of electronic waste. The results indicate that collectors demonstrate high environmental awareness (mean = 3.92) and strong recognition of the social benefits of e-waste management (mean = 4.24). Knowledge of standardized e-waste prices is also relatively high (mean = 4.06). However, economic motivations remain dominant, as reflected by the moderate agreement that monetary value is more important than environmental impact (mean = 3.64). Perceptions regarding the usefulness of the TEV approach in determining purchase prices are relatively strong (mean = 3.90). Profitability perceptions vary across device categories, with used mobile phones (mean = 3.02) and large household appliances (mean = 3.04) considered more profitable than computers or laptops (mean = 2.18) and electronic cables (mean = 1.60). Overall, the findings demonstrate that the TEV-based valuation exceeds standardized market prices by incorporating environmental and social benefits that are not captured by conventional pricing mechanisms.

Abstract

This study examines the news content production strategy developed by Metro TV through its digital initiative, MTVN Lens, in response to media convergence and shifts in audience consumption patterns. The expansion of digital platforms has compelled television news organizations to rethink newsroom routines and adapt news formats to remain competitive, particularly in engaging younger audiences who increasingly rely on online media. This research is grounded in a constructivist paradigm and employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Primary data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with members of the MTVN Lens production team, supported by direct observation of newsroom activities and documentation of content production processes at Metro TV. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The analysis is guided by Media Convergence Theory proposed by Henry Jenkins, emphasizing the integration of traditional and digital media practices. The findings reveal that MTVN Lens adopts a hybrid production model that combines core television journalism values with digital media attributes. This model is reflected in adaptive editorial planning aligned with digital trends, flexible production workflows, and the distribution of news content across multiple digital platforms. Through this strategy, Metro TV is able to maintain journalistic credibility while strengthening its engagement with digital audiences.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the phenomenon of multilingual naming in food and beverage businesses in Jambi City, including identifying word types and the reasons behind their name choices. The research method used  a qualitative descriptive approach focused on the presentation and in-depth interpretation of linguistic data. Data collection techniques were conducted through direct field observations to document business signage and in-depth interviews with business owners to explore naming motivations. Data analysis techniques were applied by classifying language use based on the type of meaning and function of the linguistic landscape, which were then interpreted to identify sociolinguistic trends in society. The results show that a number of culinary businesses in Jambi City extensively use multilingual naming, both entirely and in a hybrid manner. Some examples of naming found include Brownmix, Kafaaf, D'Box, D'BestO, Casa de Alicia, Haus Tea, and Love. These findings indicate that multilingual use has two main functions: informative and symbolic. The informative function is reflected in the use of foreign languages to concisely describe product types or business images. Meanwhile, the symbolic function is seen in the efforts of business owners to build a modern, prestigious, and globally oriented identity to increase business competitiveness in the public space of Jambi.

Abstract

The evolving maritime geopolitical dynamics of the Indo-Pacific—marked by great-power rivalry, grey-zone activities in the South China Sea, and increasingly complex maritime threats—place Indonesia in a strategic environment that demands sustained naval modernization. As the world’s largest archipelagic state, the security of sea lines of communication, protection of maritime sovereignty, and safeguarding of marine resources render the procurement of Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) defense equipment a strategic function rather than a mere logistical activity. This study aims to analyze the role of strategic leadership in shaping the procurement direction of modern naval defense equipment and to explain the linkage between geopolitical dynamics, strategic leadership, defense management, and procurement outcomes. The research employs a qualitative approach through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of scholarship on strategic leadership, defense acquisition management, and maritime security. The findings indicate that strategic leadership serves as the critical bridge between geopolitical threat perceptions and capability decisions, while strategic management functions as the institutional mechanism translating vision into capability planning and acquisition programs. Modern naval procurement ultimately operates as an instrument of maritime deterrence by enhancing credibility, interoperability, and operational readiness. The study concludes that TNI AL modernization constitutes a leadership-driven strategic transformation rather than simply a process of military expenditure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and work discipline on the performance of health workers (nakes) at Waled Regional General Hospital, Cirebon Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population was all health workers at Waled Regional General Hospital, Cirebon Regency with a sample of 175 respondents determined using the Slovin technique. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics. Data analysis techniques include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple and multiple linear regression analyses, coefficients of determination, and hypothesis tests (t-test and F-test). The results showed that the work environment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a regression coefficient of 0.398, a calculated t-value of 7.293, and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Work discipline also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a regression coefficient of 0.605, a calculated t-value of 10.797, and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The results of the simultaneous test indicate that the work environment and work discipline significantly influence employee performance. The coefficient of determination indicates that variations in employee performance can be explained by the work environment and work discipline, while the remaining variation is influenced by other factors outside the study. Work discipline is the most dominant variable influencing employee performance. This research is expected to provide consideration for hospital management in improving employee performance.
