Abstract

This study investigated the influence of accessible public transportation, disability inclusion policies, and digital skills proficiency on workplace adaptation among graduates with disabilities in Oyo State, Nigeria. Despite increasing attention to disability inclusion in the workplace, graduates with disabilities continue to face significant challenges in workplace adaptation, particularly in developing contexts. Previous research has largely focused on individual factors, with limited attention to the combined impact of environmental, policy, and skill-based factors on workplace adaptation. This study employed a descriptive correlational design, using purposive and convenience sampling to select 200 employed graduates with disabilities across various workplaces in Oyo State. Data was collected using standardized instruments: the Workplace Adaptation Scale (WAS), Transportation Accessibility Assessment Scale (TAAS), Disability Inclusion Policy Awareness and Implementation Scale (DIPAIS), and Digital Skills Proficiency Assessment (DSPA). Results revealed significant positive correlations between all independent variables and workplace adaptation, with digital skills showing the strongest relationship (r = 0.583, p < 0.01). The combined variables explained 45.2% of the variance in workplace adaptation (R² = .452, p < .001), with digital skills emerging as the strongest predictor (β = 0.512, p < .001). Successful workplace adaptation requires a comprehensive approach addressing transportation accessibility, organizational policies, and digital competency. Enhancing accessible transportation infrastructure, strengthening workplace inclusion policies, and prioritizing digital skills training for graduates with disabilities can help foster adaptation in the workplace.

Abstract

Prenuptial agreements serve as essential legal instruments that define financial arrangements and property rights between spouses before marriage. However, their enforceability and legal certainty depend heavily on compliance with legal formalities, particularly the role of notaries in ensuring their validity. This research examines the legal framework governing prenuptial agreements and the crucial function of notaries in guaranteeing legal certainty. Through a normative-juridical approach, this study analyzes statutory regulations, case law, and legal doctrines to highlight the importance of notarization in preventing disputes and ensuring enforceability. The findings reveal that notarial authentication plays a fundamental role in verifying the legal capacity of parties, ensuring mutual consent, and fulfilling formal requirements mandated by law. Additionally, the study identifies common legal challenges, including improper drafting, non-compliance with formalities, and potential fraudulent practices, which may render agreements void or unenforceable. To enhance the legal certainty of prenuptial agreements, this research recommends strengthening notarial regulations, improving legal awareness among couples, and reinforcing judicial oversight. Ultimately, the study underscores the significance of notarial involvement as a preventive legal measure to uphold the integrity and enforceability of prenuptial agreements in marital and financial planning.

Abstract

The rise of social media has significantly transformed public discourse. It allows individuals to engage in political discussions, express opinions, and challenge governmental narratives. Unlike traditional media, social media platforms facilitate interactive and participatory engagement. Users can respond to official statements in real time. This study examines user comments on Kompas Facebook post regarding the Indonesian government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Analyzing the discourse within these comments, the research explores functions of social media as a platform for democratization, power resistance, two-way communication, and alternative discourse formation. This study employs qualitative content analysis and critical discourse analysis (CDA). It is used to categorize and interpret user comments. The data included diverse linguistic strategies such as support, criticism, sarcasm, rhetorical questions, and religious expressions. Those were systematically coded to identify emerging themes. The findings reveal that social media enables democratic participation. It is also characterized by polarization of discourse and performative engagement. The interaction between government narratives and user responses demonstrates that social media facilitates counter public discourse, ideological contestation, and user-driven political deliberation. The study concludes social media that serves as a dynamic space for political communication where institutional narratives are actively contested. However, the limited presence of constructive suggestions highlights the challenges of fostering substantive policy discussions in digital spaces. By bridging discourse analysis, media studies, and political communication, this research provides a novel contribution to understanding digital discourse dynamics in contemporary political engagement.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of promotional events and price discounts on impulse buying behavior among Fitbar consumers in Makassar City, with Brand Trust serving as an intervening variable. The research adopts the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework to explain how external stimuli (promotions and discounts) influence consumer behavior through internal mechanisms (Brand Trust). A quantitative method with a cross-sectional design was used, involving 377 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that event promotions significantly and positively affect impulse buying, while price discounts do not have a statistically significant direct effect. However, Brand Trust significantly influences impulse buying and acts as a mediating variable in the relationships between both promotional events and price discounts with impulse purchases. These findings indicate that while promotions alone can drive unplanned purchases, their impact is amplified when consumers already trust the brand. The study confirms that Brand Trust plays a vital role in enhancing consumer responsiveness to marketing strategies, particularly in health-focused FMCG products like Fitbar. The research concludes that building strong Brand Trust is essential for maximizing the effectiveness of promotional activities. Practically, marketers are encouraged to combine event-based promotions with efforts to strengthen consumer trust through education, sampling, and consistent brand messaging.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the realization of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) and economic growth in Makassar City during the 2020–2023 period. The approach used is quantitative with descriptive statistical analysis methods, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression. Secondary data were obtained from BPS, the APBD Realization Report, and documents from the Ministry of Finance and Bappeda. The results of the study show that regional spending increased significantly from IDR 4.21 trillion in 2020 to IDR 5.64 trillion in 2023. On the other hand, economic growth showed a post-pandemic recovery with an average annual growth of 3.25%. The correlation test shows an r value of 0.91, which indicates a very strong positive relationship between regional spending and economic growth. The regression equation Y = -3.54 + 1.78X confirms that public spending plays an important role in driving economic development in Makassar City.

Abstract

This study examines the legal implications of land ownership rights in Dago Elos following Bandung District Court Decision No. 601/Pid.B/2024/PN Bdg, which annulled the inheritance claim by the Muller Family over land formerly titled as Eigendom Verponding Nos. 3740, 3741, and 3742. Previously, the Supreme Court Decision No. 109 PK/Pdt/2022 had ruled in favor of the Muller Family and ordered Dago Elos residents to vacate the land they had occupied for decades. However, in 2024, new legal evidence (novum) emerged proving the Muller Family committed inheritance fraud, as confirmed by a criminal verdict. This research adopts a normative juridical method with a case and statutory approach. The findings reveal that falsified heirship documents invalidate the Muller Family’s legal standing over the disputed land. Under Supreme Court Circular No. 10 of 2009, the affected residents have the right to submit a second judicial review to restore their land rights. This study highlights the importance of substantive justice in agrarian disputes and the necessity of legal protection for communities with long-standing physical control over their land.

Abstract

Unhealthy price competition in the market, especially due to predatory pricing practices, is a challenge for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This study aims to analyze the influence of company reputation, digital marketing, and price perception on purchasing decisions in the Shopee marketplace. A quantitative approach was used with a survey method involving 200 respondents from the Cirebon area. After screening, the final sample size analyzed was 180 respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SPSS 25.0. The results showed that price perception had a significant influence on purchasing decisions (p < 0.05), indicating that consumers tend to consider price when transacting on Shopee. Company reputation approached significance, while digital marketing did not show a significant influence, although it still played a role in attracting consumer attention. The regression model used proved strong (F = 27.840, p < 0.000), indicating that the independent variables collectively influenced purchasing decisions. In conclusion, the most dominant factor influencing purchasing decisions on Shopee is price perception. Although company reputation and digital marketing did not show strong individual significance, both still contribute collectively. Therefore, improving price transparency, maintaining positive company image, and enhancing digital marketing strategies are essential to increase consumer purchasing decisions in online marketplaces like Shopee.
