Abstract

This research aims to improve the understanding of the meaning of prayer through a hands-on approach in grade III elementary school students. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research, which is carried out in two cycles. The study subjects were 21 students in grade III of elementary school. The instruments used include observation sheets, interviews, and comprehension tests. The study results show that applying the hands-on approach can increase students' understanding of the meaning of prayer. In cycle I, students' comprehension increased by 20%, while in cycle II, it increased by 35%. These results show that the hands-on approach is effective in helping students understand the meaning of prayer more deeply.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) of grade V students of SD Negeri 03 Minas Barat through the application of the demonstration method. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a subject of 39 students. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes after the application of the demonstration method. In cycle I, the average student score reached 72 with a completion percentage of 64.1%, while in cycle II it increased to 85 with a completion percentage of 89.7%. Thus, the demonstration method proved effective in improving students' PAI learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the understanding and application of al-Kulliyatu al-Khamsah values in the daily life of SMK N1 Kepenuhan Hulu grade X students. Al-Kulliyatu al-Khamsah is the five main principles in Islam, namely safeguarding religion (hifzhud-din), protecting the soul (hifzhun-nafs), safeguarding intellect (hifzhul-aql), safeguarding offspring (hifzhun-nasl), and safeguarding treasure (hifzhul-mal). The research method used is classroom action research with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which includes planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study show that through learning based on Islamic values and hands-on practical activities, there is a significant increase in students' understanding and attitude towards al-Kulliyatu al-Khamsah. This study concludes that learning strategies based on religious values can effectively increase students' positive attitudes in daily life.

Abstract

Students often consider religious learning in elementary schools (SD) less attractive, so religious values are difficult to understand and internalize properly. One approach that can be used to overcome this problem is the storytelling method, which is considered more effective in conveying moral messages and religious values. This study aims to analyze the influence of storytelling methods on improving elementary school students' religious character. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method, which is carried out in two cycles. Storytelling is applied by delivering stories of prophets and inspirational Islamic figures as a learning medium. Data were collected through observation sheets to measure students' responses and understanding of religious values, as well as students' reflections to see the extent of changes in attitudes after applying the storytelling method. After using storytelling, the study results show a significant increase in students' understanding and application of religious values. Success indicators can be seen from increased student participation in discussions, knowledge of moral values in stories, and behavioral changes in a more positive direction in daily life. Thus, it can be concluded that the storytelling method effectively improves the religious character of elementary school students and can be a more interesting and meaningful learning alternative in religious education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the application of Discovery Learning method in improving students' understanding of Asmaul Husna material in class VII of Kepenuhan Islamic Junior High School. The research method used was classroom action research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this research were students of class VII of Kepenuhan Islamic Junior High School in the 2023/2024 academic year. The instruments used included observation sheets, comprehension tests, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the application of Discovery Learning was able to improve students' understanding of Asmaul Husna material, which was indicated by an increase in the average score of the comprehension test from the first cycle to the second cycle. In addition, students showed a positive response to this method, which was shown by an increase in active involvement in learning. Thus, the Discovery Learning method can be recommended as an effective approach in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI), especially in understanding Asmaul Husna.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the understanding of grade 3 students of SD Negeri 011 Kepenuhan on the material of the Five Pillars of Islam through the application of the role-playing method. The problem found was the low level of students' understanding of the five pillars of Islam, as indicated by the initial evaluation results and the lack of student involvement in the learning process. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through observation, formative tests, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in student understanding from pre-action to the second cycle. The application of the role-playing method proved effective in improving the understanding of the concept of the Pillars of Islam because students were more active, enthusiastic, and easily remembered the material through fun activities.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material in class XI students of SMAN 1 Kepenuhan through the application of an active approach in learning. The active approach was chosen in the hope of increasing students' involvement in the learning process and facilitating a deeper understanding of the material. This study used the classroom action research (PTK) method implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the implementation of an active approach succeeded in improving students' understanding of PAI materials. Based on observation results, there was a significant increase in student participation, involvement in group discussions, and acceptance of learning materials. In addition, test data showed an increase in students' average test scores from 70 in cycle I to 84 in cycle II. This increase shows the effectiveness of the active approach in improving the understanding of Islamic Religious Education materials. Overall, this study contributes to the development of more interactive and effective learning methods in the context of Islamic Religious Education at SMAN 1 Kepenuhan, as well as providing recommendations for Islamic Education teachers to adopt active approaches in the learning process.

Abstract

This class action research aims to improve students' understanding of the material of Praiseworthyhlak through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The research subjects were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tambusai in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, totalling 30 students. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection instruments used comprehension tests and student activeness observation sheets. The results showed an increase in student understanding after the application of the PBL model. In the pre-cycle, the average student score was 65 with 36.7% completeness. After the application of PBL in cycle I, the average score increased to 73.3 with 66.7% completeness. In cycle II, there was a significant increase with an average score of 82 and a completeness rate of 90%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the PBL model is effective in improving understanding of the material of Morals.

Abstract

This class action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade VI students of SD Negeri 012 Tambusai in Islamic Religious Education subjects, especially on the material of wudu, through the application of the scientific approach. This research was conducted in two cycles, each of which consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 34 students of class VI in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques used learning outcome tests and observation of student and teacher activities. The results showed that the scientific approach could improve student learning outcomes from an average score of 63.2 in pre-action to 70.4 in cycle I, and increased again to 82.1 in cycle II. The percentage of learning completeness also increased from 52.94% at pre-action to 88.24% at the end of cycle II. Student and teacher activities in the learning process also showed significant improvement. Thus, the scientific approach is proven effective in improving learning outcomes and active involvement of students in wudu material.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of prayer material through the use of picture media in class IV SD 027 Rambah in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The problem in this study is the low understanding of students in recognising the movements and recitation of prayers. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 24 fourth grade students. The instruments used include observation sheets, comprehension tests, and documentation. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of the prayer material from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, students' learning completeness only reached 62.5%, while in cycle II it increased to 87.5%. This shows that the use of picture media can help students understand the material more concretely and interestingly.
