Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to provide understanding and assistance about the importance of halal certification for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) actors, especially in Selogiri Village, Karanggayam District, Kebumen Regency by providing an understanding of the influence of the halal label in the form of product certification, building experience regarding steps -Steps for submitting halal certification to the Ministry of Religion through the application. By adding insight and experience, it can increase productivity and competitiveness for MSME actors in Selogiri Village, Karanggayam District, Kebumen Regency. In addition, it is also able to expand the scope of sales for the environment around MSME activists. Counseling activities are carried out through the stages of outreach to business actors to assistance in registering halal product guarantee certification online for 15 MSME actors engaged in the culinary field of small and medium scale businesses. With the assistance of this halal certification process, all problems regarding how to arrange halal certificates which are considered difficult can be resolved and become an example for other MSMEs in the Selogiri Village, Karanggayam District, Kebumen Regency.

Abstract

The art of reading the Qur'an is a science and skill that requires the ability to master the voice, song, and understanding of reading the Qur'an (tajwid and fashohah). In the modern era, qori qoriah is starting to erode with the times, especially in Trenggalek Regency. Qori and qoriah are skills for people who can recite the holy Qur'an using songs (naghom) without destroying or reducing the rules of reading the Qur'an (tajwid and fashohah). Several factors are related to the minimal number of qori and qoriah in Trenggalek Regency. So it is necessary to hold training in the art of reading the Qur'an or recitations in order to produce cadres or seeds of qori and qoriah from an early age. The method used is PAR (Participatory Action Research) based on service activities involving communities or organizations related to tilwatil qur'an training. The relevant organization is the Branch Leader of Jam'iyyatul Qurra' Wal Huffazh Nahdlatul Ulama Trenggalek Regency as well as a resource person. The PAR method starts with 5 cycles, including knowing, understanding, planning, acting, and changing. The five cycles have different procedures and are applied to this service. The results of this training were quite significant; the resource person took 4 random samples of participants to recite recitation material (practice). The four participants were able to perform the recitation of recitations quite well. From the results of this evaluation, the potential for more and Moriah in Trenggalek Regency can still be quite exiting and needs to be developed gradually.

Abstract

Abstract:This article discusses the role of banjari as an agent of religious moderation in Maguan Village by emphasizing the importance of religious moderation amidst the diversity of society. Through the ABCD approach, community service emphasizes local potential in community development, with initial observations to understand attitudes of religious moderation. Banjari training by KKM group 60 students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang aims to strengthen the values of moderation among the children of Maguan Village. The use of Tanpo Waton poetry as a means of conveying a universal message highlights the importance of living in harmony with human diversity. Banjari training has a positive impact by introducing spiritual values, providing a platform for creativity, creating useful time, and getting positive support from the community. The article concludes that engaging arts and religious activities in moderation can be an effective tool for building understanding, tolerance, and harmony in multicultural societies.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of a cultural preservation initiative through local stamped batik training in Ngadirejo village. Using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) methodology, the research focuses on leveraging community assets, particularly the village's strategic location on Mount Bromo's slopes and its agricultural commodities, notably coffee and durian plantations. The training program engaged 30 female participants and was conducted through multiple stages, including theoretical foundations and hands-on workshops led by an expert facilitator. The intervention strategy encompassed several phases: basic knowledge dissemination, wax heating techniques, stamping processes, motif enhancement, dyeing procedures, and appropriate drying methods. The training incorporated distinctive local motifs featuring Ngadirejo's coffee beans, durian fruits, and Mount Bromo landscape, creating a unique identity for the village's batik products. Observational data and interviews revealed high participant engagement and enthusiasm throughout the program, particularly during practical simulations. The initiative resulted in the successful acquisition of batik-making technical skills and led to plans for establishing a local batik production enterprise. Additionally, the program fostered community commitment to sustain batik production as both a cultural preservation effort and an economic development opportunity, demonstrating the effective integration of traditional craftsmanship with local cultural.

Abstract

Examination of plagiarism actions towards scientific writing results, in line with the current technological advancements, cannot be denied. There are many checking tools available, whether through applications or web-based software. One of the familiar and widely used software is Turnitin. Therefore, the research team deemed it necessary to delve deeper and provide an understanding of the utilization of Turnitin software to students, especially in thesis writing. This study aims to introduce the use of Turnitin software as a similarity detection application in scientific writing, particularly in thesis works for final-year students in the English Language Teaching Department at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo. The study involved 27 students. The utilization socialization model was conducted face-to-face. The results of this research show an improvement in understanding the utilization of Turnitin in the process of checking scientific writing, particularly in students' thesis works. This is evidenced by the difference in the level of understanding of Turnitin before and after socialization, which is quite significant at 35 percent. Such socialization needs to be carried out extensively to ensure that awareness of plagiarism actions and the utilization of Turnitin among students at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo spreads evenly. Abstract

Stunting is a malnutrition problem experienced by children in Indonesia. The number of children affected by stunting in Indonesia is quite large. Stunting is a problem in a family because it can affect primary needs, both physical and mental needs. The concept of the maslahah family can be one solution to the problem of stunting. One of the goals of the maslahah family is to create a family that is protected from poverty and physical illnesses such as stunting. Karanganyar Village, which is located in Gandusari District, Trenggalek Regency, is the target of PkM (Community Service) activities which are packaged in the form of outreach on stunting prevention. Based on data from the satudata.trenggalekkab.go.id website, in 2023 there will be 51 families suffering from stunting in Karanganyar Village. This made the PkM team choose Karanganyar village as the location to hold stunting prevention outreach which was packaged with the concept of family maslahah. The method used in PkM activities is the ABCD method with the results of socialization participants being enthusiastic about the activity. Apart from that, the socialization participants also supported the concept of stunting prevention presented by the resource person.

Abstract

This service activity explains increasing legal awareness regarding community participation in village development in Luwu district. These activities are carried out in the form of counseling using methods of delivering material, interactive dialogue and solving problems related to village development. Several forms of activities that have been carried out in this program are: counseling about the village law; counseling on village development planning; Assistance training in preparing village development plans that are more participatory in nature. The target of this activity is the people of Cakkeawo village and North Bonelemo village, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. Based on the activities that have been carried out, there are several indicators that have been achieved, including: (1) building the commitment of community members to have the courage to convey ideas/suggestions at public forums/village deliberations, especially in terms of planning, budgeting and evaluating development results; (2) developing the commitment of citizen organizations to start practicing and discussing procedures for planning, budgeting and evaluating development results using good procedures; (3) building the commitment of village government officials to be open, responsive and accountable in planning, budgeting and evaluating village development results. Apart from that, there is a counter draft village development plan (RAPBDes) which is prepared in a participatory manner.

Abstract

Abstract: Writing a scientific journal is not only carried out by teachers, lecturers, or researchers, but is also carried out by students, especially the final-year students in preparing to write scientific journal as prerequisite for their graduation. The aim of this training programme is to hone students’ writing skill in creating clear, structures, and scientific journal reports. Apart from the writing aspect, it is hoped that scientific journals resulting from students’ research can be published. As a result, it can broaden their horizons regarding their knowledge in certain research field.  Apart from honing writing skill, writing scientific journals also aims to train researchers to think critically, objectively, and systematically to understand problems in more depth and think ahead. Writing a scientific journal and then publishing it will become a good track record that shows someone’s competence and can be a good portfolio, especially when planning further studies or to obtain a scholarship. Abstract

This study aims to address the problem of plastic waste generated by children's activities at the Qur’anic Education Center (TPQ) in Kediren Village, Lembeyan Subdistrict, Magetan Regency, through community empowerment based on waste management. This is an applied research combined with community service activities. The method used is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which focuses on developing local assets and potential. The results of this activity include the establishment of a waste bank in the village and improved community skills in transforming plastic waste into handicraft products such as decorative flowers, brooches, and wallets. This initiative has proven effective in reducing environmental pollution, increasing the economic value of plastic waste, and promoting the growth of the community's creative economy. Furthermore, this program represents a tangible contribution of higher education institutions in implementing the Tri Dharma of higher education, particularly in the aspect of community service.

Abstract

Community service activities in Tanah Putih Village aim to strengthen the village information system to improve understanding and education among health agents or cadres in the village, as they are the backbone of stunting and extreme poverty prevention through microsite-based digital technology training (mini web). The method used to achieve this goal includes internal training, community socialization, and mini web digital technology training (microsite). The results of community service activities in Tanah Putih Village, through digital technology training and socialization aimed at reducing stunting and extreme poverty, received a positive response from beneficiaries. In this case, the beneficiary families contributed to reducing and preventing stunting, while the beneficiary community worked towards reducing extreme poverty and aimed to develop this mini website into a large permanent website with the domain of the Tanah Putih Village government.
