Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to assess the pre-Covid-19 management of green guava agro-tourism and its post-Covid-19 resilience in Cangkringan Village, Banyundono District, Boyolali Regency. The study utilized a descriptive analysis approach to evaluate the revenue of Cangkringan Jambu Madu Hijau and employed SWOT analysis to examine both the internal factors, i.e., strengths and weaknesses, and the external factors, namely opportunities and threats of Cangkringan Agrotourism. The findings revealed that Cangkringan Jambu Agrotourism earned approximately Rp. 25,000,000 in 2020, while it generated approximately Rp. 100,000,000 in revenue after the COVID-19 pandemic (from April 2021 to June 2022). A viable strategy for Green Guava Agrotourism is the S-O approach, involving the expansion of agro-tourism offerings, including diverse photo opportunities and tourist attractions, alongside continuous promotional efforts. The S-T strategy entails showcasing the distinct features of Cangkringan Jambu Agrotourism and further enhancing product quality and marketing systems. W-O strategies emphasize the optimization and growth of agro-tourism, while W-T strategies revolve around offering discounts on products and agro-tourism entrance fees, along with enhancing the overall visitor experience. Abstract

Abstract: Syringe cake, a delectable pastry crafted from a mixture of flour, fat, powdered sugar, and eggs, has captured the taste buds of many. This research delves into the world of small-scale bakeries producing syringe cakes and explores the avenues for innovation to boost their profits. The primary goal is to shed light on how these small enterprises can contribute to the national economic recovery in the aftermath of the pandemic.The study takes place across two Indonesian provinces, East Java and Central Java, spanning three districts: Bojonegoro, Blora, and Klaten. It focuses on the syringe cake makers operating in these regions, examining their innovative approaches, customer appeal, and the economic impact on the involved entrepreneurs. The research methodology employs observation and online interviews conducted through Google Forms.The findings reveal that the syringe cake business in these areas has undergone innovations in various aspects, including flavors, shapes, packaging, and branding. These changes have significantly enhanced the public's interest in syringe cakes, driven by factors such as taste, ingredients, toppings, packaging, brands, and competitive pricing. Most notably, these innovations have led to a considerable increase in the economic income of the mothers engaged in this enterprise. As a result, syringe cakes have emerged as a lifeline for these small businesses, positioning them to play a pivotal role in both the survival of local entrepreneurs and the broader national economic recovery efforts amid and beyond the pandemic. Abstract

This study aims to implement the drill method in an English teaching assistance program for TPQ (Qur'anic Elementary School) students in Maleo Village, Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo, utilizing the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The teaching assistance was carried out by students from IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo as part of the Thematic Social Work Program (KKS-T). The study followed the four core stages of the ABCD framework: Discovery, Dream, Design, and Delivery. The findings indicate that this approach successfully optimized local assets, including the active participation of TPQ teachers, youth organizations, and parents. The drill method was implemented over a 12-day period, focusing on pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and simple conversations, and was enriched with songs and games. Based on the pre-test and post-test results, the students' average scores increased significantly from 5.1 to 70.0. In addition to improving students’ English proficiency, the program also fostered students’ social awareness and contributed to the empowerment of the local community. This study recommends the integration of community asset-based learning models and the drill method as effective strategies for basic English instruction in non-formal educational settings.

Abstract

Efforts to empower the economy of fishermen through the development of fisheries-based businesses are very necessary to increase family income and reduce extreme poverty. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the income of fishermen's families through diversification of fisheries-based businesses. Creating a sustainable program that focuses on improving the economic welfare and health of fishermen's families. The training method in the core program is through a participatory approach. The implementing team has carried out community service activities, in a series of 2024 student KKN-PAR programs according to the stages of the plan and the resulting achievement targets. The results of the implementation of community service are based on the realization related to the achievement targets, namely the eradication of extreme poverty. Through the Empowerment of Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises, the core program of KKN-PAR UNUGO makes SKIPJACK TUNA FLOS, which later this activity will have an impact on improving the quality of human resources in the Patoameme village community.

Abstract

Parenting seminars have become one of the most effective approaches to enhancing parents’ or guardians’ understanding and awareness of the importance of implementing positive parenting, especially for early childhood who are in a crucial phase of development at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and Kindergarten (TK) levels. These seminars function not only as a means of delivering information but are also designed as interactive forums where parents can receive education, gain practical skills, share experiences, and discuss the daily challenges of parenting. Positive parenting plays a significant role in shaping a child's character, building self-confidence, and supporting their physical, emotional, and social development. Parenting seminars also serve as a strategic platform for building collaboration between schools and parents in creating a safe, comfortable environment that maximally supports children’s development. Through an approach that emphasizes affection, effective communication, and the habituation of positive behavior, it is expected that parents can move away from authoritarian or permissive parenting styles, which are considered less suitable for supporting early childhood development. This article specifically discusses the implementation of a parenting seminar at PAUD and TK Muslimat Mazroatul Ulum 02, involving teachers, parents, and professional speakers in the field of child education and psychology. The discussion includes the seminar’s implementation methods, the content presented, participant engagement levels, the outcomes achieved, and the tangible impact on parenting practices in the family environment. Additionally, this article highlights the importance of sustaining parenting programs as regular activities that enhance parents' capacity to support their children's holistic development amid the dynamics of modern life.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the legal understanding and awareness of the people in Laut Biru Village, Kabila Bone District, regarding the importance of marriage registration and lawful divorce procedures based on positive law and Islamic law. The implementation methods included lectures, group discussions, case simulations, and legal consultations involving religious leaders, village officials, and the general public. The results indicate a significant increase in participants' knowledge about the necessity of marriage registration, lawful divorce procedures, and the protection of women's and children's rights. Prior to the program, most community members believed that physical separation was sufficient to end a marriage; however, after the educational sessions, their understanding shifted to appreciate the importance of formal legal processes. The involvement of religious leaders and village officials also strengthened the local legal advocacy network. Although there are still challenges such as administrative and cultural barriers, the participatory and collaborative approach has proven effective in fostering a sustainable legal awareness culture. This community service experience is expected to serve as a model for other villages in developing a law-abiding, just, and dignified society in accordance with positive law and Islamic principles.

Abstract

Abstract: The LINTAH (Aromatherapy Candles from Used Cooking Oil) training was conducted in response to the problem of household used cooking oil waste that is often disposed of without being processed. The background of this activity stems from the need of the community in Sumberdadi Village to find a creative solution that is not only environmentally friendly but also economically viable. The primary objective of the training is to equip the village women's group with the skills to process used cooking oil waste into aromatherapy candles that have market potential while also promoting productive consumption patterns. The method used is based on Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) combined with a project-based learning approach. Participants not only received theoretical explanations but also directly practiced the production process, from oil filtration, mixing aromatherapy ingredients, to candle molding. Evaluation was conducted through participatory observation, interviews, and group discussions during the reflection phase. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and skills, particularly regarding the utilization of waste as an economically valuable resource. Participants reported gaining meaningful learning experiences, where hands-on practice strengthened understanding compared to conventional learning. Additionally, a paradigm shift was observed, where used cooking oil is no longer merely waste but a productive asset that can support the circular economy and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Abstract: This activity aims to provide teenagers with a better understanding of Islam's view of young marriage and its positive and negative impacts. This activity was held at the Sabililhuda Mosque in Bokiowutango on September 10, 2023 and was attended by 57 young teenagers from Tamalate Village. The results of this activity showed that participants experienced a significant increase in understanding of Islamic views on marriage, requirements in religion, as well as the negative impact of young marriage. Their awareness of the health risks, educational barriers, and social aspects associated with the practice of young marriage also increased. This activity also led to a change in positive attitudes towards young marriage among participants. They begin to consider more seriously the impact of marriage in their lives and reflect on religious values in marriage decision-making. With a deeper understanding and accurate information, it is hoped that this activity will help adolescents in Tamalate Village make wise marriage decisions and in accordance with religious values in the context of marriage.

Abstract: Generational differences are always an issue that needs to be discussed in society. Each generation has unique characteristics which then determine the ongoing communication process. Technological developments are occurring so rapidly, making it easier to access information. This service aims to measure the implementation of online media use to improve media savvy students at SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The method used is participatory action research. Where the target audience is SMA Negeri 5 Palu students, with a total of 33 people. The solution strategy that can be offered in this service is to carry out counseling regarding digital literacy for teenagers, as well as increasing students' understanding of using social media, both as part of self-expression and being smart in using social media. Abstract

Abstract : The KKN-PAR activity aims to educate the community in Alele Village, Central Suwawa District to empower the availability of raw materials, with the innovation of banana blossoms to be processed in the form of unique banana blossom snacks, which have the appeal of being a contemporary snack and have economic value. The method used to achieve the objectives is training with participatory learning techniques and mentoring as well as direct practice in the field. This method places participants as both objects and subjects in the training process. This activity involved Field Supervisor Lecturers (DPL), Students, and members of the MSME group. The mentoring techniques and direction of the KKN-PAR program involve partner groups. Furthermore, direct observations at locations by looking at the availability of raw materials for banana blossoms which will be processed in making snacks. Followed by the core activities, namely providing outreach, counseling, and providing direct assistance to the community on how to make processed banana blossoms, packaging techniques and even labeling. It is hoped that this can increase community innovation and creativity so that Alele Village, Central Suwawa District can become a model village in food security.
