Abstract

This research aims to generate English teachers who can comprehend and use blended learning methods. The purpose of this Classroom Action Research (CAR) study is to enhance the knowledge and comprehension of English subject teachers regarding using the blended learning model in the learning process. This study investigated how considerably English teachers' knowledge and comprehension of the blended learning model increased due to the training. This course also includes information about the blended learning paradigm, which mixes face-to-face learning (direct interaction) with online learning, for instance, through social media such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, Skype, and Teleconference. The results indicated that many participants were unfamiliar with the most recent learning applications.

Abstract

Abstract The increase in the need for snacks has not been matched by the availability of production facilities and infrastructure that meet the halal and sanitation requirements. Most of the products do not meet the requirements and even look mediocre. This condition has led to high deviations; many cases of circulating expired cake products that do not meet the halal food requirements for domestic and export-import products have been found. This service aims to provide an understanding of halal policies under the provisions of LPPOM MUI. The method used is the principle of Adult Education (POD). In implementing the provisions of the fatwa, the socialization activity about halal policy to participants at the Rembulan IKM production house went smoothly and under the expected target, namely increasing awareness of owners and employees about how to understand and observe the tools and materials used in producing products that comply with halal standards so that these expectations can be achieved well.

Abstract

Abstract: This study employed the SWOT analysis method by examining data on the growth of Gelatik Street merchants in Gorontalo City. In-depth interviews were conducted with merchants' representatives along Gelatik Street in Gorontalo City to collect data. The survey results indicated that financing, marketing, and information technology systems remain the most significant impediments for Gelatik Street merchants in Gorontalo City. In addition, the government's support for traders was still inadequate, therefore, it must encourage them to engage in scientific development activities in business management, such as business and financial management training. Then, the transfer of Gorontalo IAIN students to Campus II resulted in a drop in trader turnover of around 50 per cent. This was because the bulk of IAIN Gorontalo students had relocated to campus II, which had substantially impacted the decline in street vendor activity. Keywords: Factor Analysis; Traders.

Abstract

As one of the villages with potentially bustling tourist visiting, it would certainly be an excellent capital for Monano's village to be able to support the economic growth of the people. One of the sectors that has an excellent potential for improving the economy is the small and medium-size micro enterprises (UMKM) of the Monano's village community especially for local food production. Most UMKM actors in Monano Village only use a small amount of packaging without the labels of products and pay little attention to the essential ingredients of the packaging that keep the product going. The socialization was held about the local culinary packaging to solve this problem. The method which used is the socialization and the direct stakeholder of UMKM who produces local food products in Monano village. The result of this activity is the enhancement of people's understanding of UMKM which involved in Monano village and confirmed by the improvement of the local food supply and the label production from three UMKM in Monano village, and the results of correction survey on packaging and label showed that the respondent interested to the result of packaging product. Abstract

Molingkapoto Village is one of the villages in North Gorontalo Regency most often affected during the rainy season. The way to overcome this problem is to use flood management technology, namely Biopore Infiltration Holes (LBR). This activity aims to teach people about other ways to prevent flooding and reduce waterlogging during the rainy season. The training participants were the people of Molingkapoto Village. The method used is a field survey, a participatory approach by providing socialization and technical training on how to make Biopore Infiltration Holes (LBR). The results of socialization and training show that the enthusiasm of the people of Molingkapoto Village in reducing the impact of high rainfall every day is very large. Making Biopori Infiltration Holes (LBR) was carried out at 12 points of residents' houses and village public facilities. The choice of location for the installation of the Biopori Infiltration Hole (LBR) was based on the results of a survey of locations that are often affected during the rainy season. This service activity provides positive benefits for the people of North Gorontalo Regency, especially in overcoming the problem of flooding and standing water sustainably.

Abstract

Buluwatu Village, which is located in East Sumalata District, is a village located in the coastal area of ​​North Gorontalo Regency, which has fishery and marine resources that have the potential to be developed. Through this community service, we empower the community in training activities for processed skipjack fish sticks (Katsuwonus pelamis) to support community income. This community service aims to assist the community through training on processed Cakalang fish stick products. This community service activity uses training methods with participatory learning techniques and direct practice of processing Cakalang fish into fish sticks. The result of this community service activity is the creation of processed Cakalang fish sticks, which have a savory taste and high nutritional content and are well-liked by both children and adults. Abstract

The Family Welfare Empowerment Program (PKK) is essential as a community organization to empower women to participate in village development. In this case, women are also involved in a particular organization and can participate in village development by encouraging the participation of village communities. The method of implementing community service that is carried out is the Community Organization / Community Development (CO / CD) Method. The Community Organization / Community Development (CO / CD) method is one of the methods in social work practice with the main focus being the wider community or community with activities that involve the community to increase the level of social functioning of the community, especially in community self-involvement of Family Welfare Empowerment Program (PKK) organizations in Ilangata Village. The techniques implemented in this community service activity are observation, interviews, and Methodology Participatory Assessment (MPA). The stages of implementing this community service activity are social initiation, social organizing, social assessment, social intervention planning, and social intervention. The result of community service activities that have been carried out is the implementation of capacity-building activities for the Ilangata Village Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) organization, which consists of reactivating organizations supported by the Decree of the Head of Ilangata Village concerning the Establishment and Appointment of the Ilangata Village Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) Management Number 41 of 2022, capacity building resources through the provision of entrepreneurship materials and training for members of the Ilangata Village Family Welfare Empowerment Program (PKK) organization. Abstract

Abstract: Waqf is a Maliyah worship that has excellent potential to be developed. Waqf assets provide significant benefits from time to time. However, in practice, the collection of waqf assets has not run optimally. The target of the mentoring and training activities is the community, especially the nazirs. This activity aims to increase knowledge, understanding and ability about effective waqf governance. The method used was mentoring and training with an intensive approach involving 30 participants and the Ministry of Religion of Gorontalo Province as resource persons. The results of these community service activities show that the community's knowledge, understanding and ability, especially the nazirs, regarding managing productive waqf has increased. This was obtained from a questionnaire distributed widely to the public. In addition, partners' views on productive waqf are not limited to management procedures but also on using property waqf to develop the economic potential of the people of Botutonuo Village. This strategy was carried out to support the realization of the management and utilization of waqf based on local wisdom, which focuses on the culture/habits of the people of Botutonuo Village who like to make waqf. Abstract

Abstract: Masks are widely recognized as essential tools for safeguarding individuals from various pollutants, particularly air contaminants. Moreover, in the current prevailing situation marked by the prevalence of Covid-19, masks play a pivotal role in mitigating the risk of viral transmission. Among the varieties of masks available, tie-dye masks have emerged as innovative solutions characterized by their appealing color range. The primary material used in crafting tie-dye masks is fabric, a sustainable alternative to disposable medical masks that pose environmental disposal challenges. This study explores the transformative role of young entrepreneurs as change agents, focusing on their entrepreneurship endeavors related to tie-dye cloth masks. The objective is to gain insights into the activities undertaken by the younger generation in response to the challenges posed by the pandemic. The research was conducted in multiple locations, including Cepu, Blora Regency, Central Java, Ngadirejo, Kartasura, Central Java, and Kartasura Village, Sukoharjo, Central Java. The research subjects encompass young entrepreneurs within these areas. Data collection involved a combination of observation, using mobile devices for recording, and interviews with various sources. The findings underscore the growing importance of tie-dye masks, particularly during the pandemic. Their reusability, attainable through simple washing, makes them a practical choice. Despite the pandemic's constraints, the younger generation has harnessed this demand for tie-dye masks as a means to explore new business opportunities and nurture their creative abilities. The active involvement of the younger generation stands as a significant force driving entrepreneurship, particularly amid the ongoing pandemic crisis.  Keywords: Mask; Pandemic; Tie Dye; The Role of The Younger Generation.
