Abstract

Termination in counseling guidance comes from two initiatives. First, the lecturer's initiative and second, the student's initiative, either negative or positive. Termination occurs, including the realization of hopes in the counseling guidance process and the failure to realize hopes in the counseling guidance process. both lecturer's initiative and student or student-based e-counseling initiative. This study aims to determine the strategies of lecturers or lecturers in implementing termination of counseling guidance in the learning process. Counseling termination is the last step for lecturers so that students understand that the counseling and guidance session will end. In it, there are various messages and reinforcements for students which are part of the last strategy as a hope that the message or teaching material can be implemented in the future by students or students. The method in this study uses an interpretive method. The results of this discussion indicate that the termination strategy for counseling guidance is outlined in two termination directions including: first termination at the end of the counseling guidance session. second termination at the end of the counseling guidance session. termination at the end of the counseling guidance session contains the following points: (a) the lecturer opens effective communication as a signal that the session will end (b) the lecturer opens opportunities for mentoring for students and closes with words of thanks, appreciation and prayer. Furthermore, termination at the end of counseling in which the lecturer prepares: (a) languages that lead students to understand that counseling will end. (b) the lecturer provides opportunities for discussion in the form of notes and questions to conclude the results (c) formal termination which ends with prayer. From the results of this study, the termination strategy can also be implemented in various learning models, both self-directed learning, contextual, cooperative, collaborative and so on.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of emotional regulation on the learning motivation of Open University (UT) students, by considering the geographic location of the student's home area as a moderating variable. Emotional regulation is an important factor in the learning process, because it can influence the way students face challenges and pressure in their studies. Learning motivation, on the other hand, plays a vital role in student academic achievement. This research uses quantitative methods with a case analysis design, involving 400 Open University students from various regions in Indonesia. Data was collected using a questionnaire that measures the level of emotional regulation and learning motivation, as well as geographical variables that influence students' learning conditions. The research results show that emotional regulation has a positive effect on learning motivation, with significant differences between students from urban and rural areas. Students from urban areas tend to have better emotional regulation, which results in higher learning motivation compared to students from rural areas. These findings provide new insights for the development of more effective learning strategies in distance education environments, taking into account students' psychological and geographical aspects.

Abstract

Global students face a mental health crisis driven by academic pressure and uncertainty about the future, increasing their vulnerability to burnout and decreasing their psychological well-being. The service gap in Indonesia, with a counselor-to-student ratio of 1:700, urges the need for innovative solutions such as artificial intelligence (AI)-based cybercounseling. A hybrid AI-human counselor model promises effectiveness and scalability, but its impact on academic burnout and psychological well-being in the Indonesian context has not been thoroughly tested. This quasi-experimental pretest-posttest study involved 50 students from the Guidance and Counseling Department at Pancasakti University in Tegal. The experimental group received hybrid AI-human cybercounseling intervention (4 sessions/2 weeks), while the control group received conventional cybercounseling. Instruments: Maslach Burnout Inventory–Student Survey (MBI-SS) and Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale. Data were analyzed using paired-sample t-test and ANCOVA, enriched with qualitative interviews. The experimental group showed a significant decrease (*p* < 0.01) in burnout scores (MBI-SS) of 27% (Pretest: 68.20 ± 6.1; Posttest: 49.85 ± 5.3) and an increase in psychological well-being scores of 20. 7% (Pretest: 54.10 ± 7.5; Posttest: 65.30 ± 6.2). The control group did not show significant changes. Qualitative analysis revealed the mechanisms of success: (1) flexibility of time and 24/7 access through AI, (2) emotional validation and reflective deepening by human counselors, and (3) increased psychological safety. As many as 88% of participants expressed a desire to continue using the hybrid service. Hybrid AI-human cybercounseling has proven effective in significantly reducing academic burnout and improving students' psychological well-being, with high acceptance rates. This model addresses service gaps in Indonesia by combining the efficiency of AI with the depth of human intervention, offering a scalable, affordable, and sustainable solution to the student mental health crisis.

Abstract

The surge in mental health crises among students post-pandemic requires a case management system that is fast, accurate, and adaptive to resource constraints. Unfortunately, to date, there is no specific triage protocol for Guidance and Counseling (BK) services that integrates psychosocial parameters with a digital framework. This study aims to develop a digital triage model based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs as a framework for classifying the priority of student crisis management. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA protocol for selected scientific documents and policies (n=25), which were then analyzed using a thematic analysis approach assisted by NVivo 14. The analysis yielded four main themes: urgency indicators, crisis response time, use of digital media (WhatsApp and Google Forms), and Maslow-based need stratification. The developed digital triage system prototype demonstrated high content validity (CVR = 0.82), strong inter-coder reliability (Cohen’s Kappa > 0.80), and 92% classification accuracy in a simulation of 50 cases. This study concludes that integrating psychological theory with simple technology can accelerate decision-making processes in risk-based counseling services and serve as a foundation for national policies aimed at achieving more standardized, adaptive, and data-driven responses to psychosocial crises.

Abstract

The occurrence of turnover begins with the intention of employees to resign from the company or in the world of industrial psychology it is called turnover intention. One of the strongest factors that can influence turnover intention in employees is work engagement, where when work engagement is low, the level of employee turnover intention increases. This study uses a quantitative research method with a sample of 30 respondents. The criteria are: gender, age, length of service. Data collection was carried out by interview, observation and Likert scale questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.911 and for turnover intention with a reliability value of 0.980 in the form of a google form. While data analysis uses a non-parametric correlation test tested with the Spearman's rho test. This test is assisted by the help of SPSS 30. The results of the study are a moderate level of work engagement of 24 respondents (80.0%), followed by a low level of 4 respondents (13.3%) and a high level of 2 respondents (6.7%). The turnover intention level was also dominated by the medium category, with the same number of respondents (24 people, 80.0%), followed by the high level (4 respondents, 13.3%), and the low level (2 respondents, 6.7%). Hypothesis testing of the relationship between work engagement and turnover intention revealed a significant negative correlation, with a correlation coefficient of 0.397 and a significance value of 0.030 (p<0.05). This indicates that the higher an employee's work engagement, the lower their tendency to have turnover intention, and vice versa. The significance of this relationship indicates a low strength.

Abstract

The culture of keeping beards existed even before Islam came. Later in the prophetic period, the Prophet ordered Muslim men to shorten their mustaches and keep beards to contrast the customs of the Magi. Scholars have different views on the hadith of the Prophet, some understand it textually such as Nasir Al-Din Al-Albani, Abu Muhammad bin Hazm, Abdul Aziz bin Baz and some understand it contextually, such as Al-Syarbasi, Al-Qaradawi, and Shuhudi Ismail. For those who understand the hadith textually to this day, they shorten their mustaches and keep their beards. Some scientists conduct research on mustache and beard from a health perspective. The author conducted research with the aim of presenting health wisdom in hadith using qualitative research methods that are emphasized in literature review analysis. The author researched and analyzed the hadiths about mustache and beard through a health approach, it turned out that the two supported each other and showed a correlation. So, it can be concluded that shaving a mustache and maintaining a beard is Islamic law that has a fairly important influence in terms of health.
