Abstract

Introduction: Gastritis is a common gastrointestinal condition often associated with pain and discomfort. Exploring effective pain management strategies is crucial for enhancing the well-being of individuals affected by gastritis. This study investigates the potential effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation therapy in alleviating pain among gastritis patients. Objective: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation therapy in alleviating pain among patients diagnosed with gastritis. Methods: The research was conducted at BLUD RSU Banjar City from May 27 to May 31, 2022. The participant for this study was Mrs. I, a 62-year-old individual presenting complaints of pain in the left upper quadrant of the abdomen. Results: Findings from the case study indicated observable changes post-progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The patient exhibited signs of relaxation, and the pain scale, initially high, decreased to 4 within 2 days after the intervention. Further reduction to a pain scale of 2 was noted using the Numeric Rating Scale method. Conclusion: The study concludes that progressive muscle relaxation therapy exhibits promise in effectively reducing pain. Consequently, this therapeutic approach holds potential applicability in addressing acute pain issues among gastritis patients.

Abstract

Introduction : Many health problems of adolescents cause a decline in their quality of life, including reproductive-related problems such as anemia, malnutrition, and obesity. Chronic nutritional dysfunction among adolescents has raised concerns since it may lead to stunting. Objective :This study examines the correlation between nutritional status and lifestyle (including habitual patterns of diet, exercises, and use of insecticides or mosquito repellent, consumption of Fe tablets and folic acid) and reproduction quality (including ages, menarche, menstrual cycle, PMS score, and length and length and severity of dysmenorrhea). Method : We used an analytic survey method with a cross-sectional study design. The population was young women aged 16-24 years, with a total of 80 people. Result : Data were not normally distributed or homogeneous; we used a non-parametric approach with the Spearman correlation test α = 0.05. The chi-square test resulted in a Sig value of 0.292 > 0.05, and the Spearman Rank correlation test results in Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.152 or a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.152 > 0.05. Conclusion : The results indicate that the reproductive quality of adolescents is multifactorial. The nutritional status and lifestyle of adolescents are only part of the factors determining the optimization of reproductive function.

Method: The method used is descriptive-qualitative with a case study approach. As well as pre-test intervention and post-test intervention. Nursing care was carried out with the author for three days and the family intervened using the Family Empowerment Program (FEP) approach for three weeks. The subject of this case study is a thalassemia child with poor quality of life. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, physical examination, and documentation. Objective: The purpose of this study was determine the Correlation between Nurse Motivation and the Quality of Nursing Care Documentation. Method: This research is a quantitative study with a correlation study and a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used was random sampling with 66 respondents at RSUD Dr. R. Soedjati Somodiarjo Purwodadi. The data were analyzed by using the chi-square statistical test (X2) and a correlation strength test was carried out using Spearman's (r). Results: Based on the chi-square statistical test (X2), the p value is 0.000. As the results show <0.05, it means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Then a correlation strength test carried out by using Spearman’s (r) reveals a correlation coefficient or r = 0.086, indicating that there is a strong positive correlation between nurses’ motivation and the quality of nursing care process documentation at RSUD Dr. R. Soedjati Somodiarjo Purwodadi. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that there is a positive correlation between nurses’ motivation and the quality of the nursing care process documentation at RSUD Dr. R.
