Abstract

This research is one of the studies that focuses on Multicultural Values in Post-Religious Socio-Religious Communities in Lokapaksa Village, Seririt District, Buleleng Regency. Where there is a religious conversion and post-religious conversion does not cause conflict, people can even live in harmony. The purpose of this study is to explain how multicultural values are in post-religious conversion communities in Lokapaksa village. In explaining the formulation of the problem then using the functional structural theory. This type of research is qualitative research with primary and secondary data. Collecting data by observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. Then the data is analyzed and presented. The data obtained is that the post-religious conversion of the Lokapaksa village community shows that there are multicultural values implemented by the people in the Lokapsa village such as openness values, democratic values, pluralism values, human values and nationalism values.

Abstract

Inaugural visit of President Soekarno to Palangka Raya on July 17, 1957, marked by the establishment of Tugu Soekarno, carries two meanings. The first meanings, from the perspective of the Indonesian government in Jakarta, is that this visit symbolizes ther formalization of Central Kalimantan Province as one of the provinces in the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia. The second meaning, from Dayak community’s perspective, is that this visit is seen as a recognition of Dayak identity. These two meanings have been continuously debated over time since President Soekarno first visit, and Tugu Soekarno has become a symbol of this two-way communication. Using observation and document analysis methods, this writing examines the symbolic communication of Tugu Soekarno in Palangka Raya, which continues to symbolize the tug of war between Indonesia and the Dayak community

Abstract

This research aims to find out about the implications and strategies of contestation of selling services for Hindu and Muslim ritual facilities as an implementation of religious moderation in the Karang Lelede Mataram market. This research is a qualitative study with a sociological approach, determining informants in this study using purposive techniques and data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis in this study was carried out during and after data collection using qualitative data analysis flow model developed by Miles and Huberman with the stages of reduction, data presentation and verification. Data analysis is presented in the form of reduction, classification, display and interpretation. The results showed that: 1) The contestation of selling services of Hindu and Islamic ritual facilities occurs due to the lack of understanding of the traders on the importance of religious moderation, 2) The implications of the contestation of selling services of Hindu and Islamic ritual facilities have unfavourable implications for social relations between traders due to sales competition and price instability of ritual facilities sold between traders from Hindus and traders from Muslims, 3) The strategy of maintaining religious moderation in the contestation of selling services of Hindu and Islamic ritual facilities in Karang Lelede Mataram market is done by strengthening Religious Harmony, fostering national commitment and developing tolerance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine informal dharmika women education in transforming Hindu religious values to their children at Banjar Parartha Perumnas Karang Permai, Sekarbela Subdistrict, Mataram City. This research was designed in a qualitative descriptive type using a case study model. Based on the results of this study it was found that the efforts of dharmika women in transforming Hindu religious values for their children in the family through several strategies. First, cooperation between husband and wife to be able to provide knowledge and at the same time be able to transform Hindu religious values for children in the family. Second, the husband and other family members must overcome the psychological pressures of dharmika so that later in carrying out the marriage ark they will feel happy. Third, studying Hinduism can be done through the internet and books about Hinduism also from members of the banjar. Fourth, directing their children to be more able to explore Hindu religious lessons at school, while the means of ceremonies and ceremonies as well as their implementation are self-taught.

Abstract

This research highlights the importance of understanding the local context in analyzing diversity and tolerance. Pakelan can already be said to be a village that meets the criteria of a miniature Indonesian state de jure and de facto. By using a phenomenological approach, this article aims to explore and portray the face of tolerance between religious communities and beliefs. The results of this research are first, the face of tolerance is attached to several activities in the form of ideas, ideas, and social activities, which manifest in the context of houses of worship, gametan, sacrifice, PHBA and so on. The conclusion of this research is that tolerance is not a static condition. The condition of tolerance and intolerance needs to be placed in a broader spectrum. A region can have a more tolerant character than other regions, but because no region is fully tolerant or intolerant, the position in the spectrum can change along with socio-political changes. The terms tolerance and intolerance should not be interpreted narrowly, only related to religious theological views. The theological orientation that exists in Pakelan does not necessarily prevent religious adherents and believers from coexisting with each other. Tolerance is a multidimensional condition, which is related to value, social and structural aspects.

Abstract

This research is aimed at analyzing and finding how to apply one of the true bhakti teachings, Smaranam in improving learners' sradha and bhakti. This method of research uses descriptive qualitative methods, in which the characteristic of this study is digging into a phenomenon in depth. Smaranam is one part of Nawa Widha Bhakti’s teaching: mentioning repeatedly the holy name of God (japam). This refers to the current phenomenon in which technological development makes learners addicted to it and forget their activities, such as performing prayers. Therefore, there needs to be implementation of religious teachings that can cultivate and improve the students'sradha and bhakti. With the implementation of true bhakti teachings, one of them Smaranam at State High School 4 Mataram can grow and improve the sradha and bhakti of Hindu students, which can be seen from the student’s awareness of duties and obligations such as praying well. It can be concluded that the implementation of Smaranam teachings is effective in efforts to improve the students' sradha and bhakti.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi komunikasi pimpinan dalam melayani umat Hindu pada Bidang Bimbingan Masyarakat Hindu, Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Artikel ini didasarkan atas penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif interpretatif untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh memalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa strategi komunikasi pimpinan yang digunakan dalam melayani umat Hindu adalah laissez-faire. Strategi laissez-faire yang diimplementasikan oleh pemimpin dengan menaruh kepercayaan tinggi kepada bawahan. Kepala Bidang Bimbingan Masyarakat Hindu dalam membangun kepercayaan pelayanan administrasi yang cepat dan tepat dibuktikan dengan kesigapan dari pegawai Bimas Hindu sesuai dengan Undang-undang Nomor 25 Tahun 2009 tentang Pelayanan Publik, yaitu dalam meningkatkan pelayanan Publik sehingga harus dirumuskan standar Operasional Prusedur. Berkenaan dengan itu peran pimpinan Bidang Bimas Hindu sangatlah penting sesuai dengan teori Komunikasi Organisasi yang menjadi strategi dalam penelitian ini, oleh sebab itu Bidang Bimas Hindu melaksanakan rapat untuk merumuskan dan membangun inovasi yang berbasis informasi website guna memudahkan tugas dan fungsi bidang Bimas indu dalam hal pelayanan di kantor wilayah kementerian agama provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat.

Abstract

Higher education in Indonesia faces challenges in achieving equitable access for all layers of society, particularly concerning economic factors. The Indonesia Smart Card Scholarship (KIP) program is expected to enhance student engagement as a solution. This research aims to explore the impact of the KIP Scholarship Program on student engagement at the Gde Pudja Mataram State Hindu Institute. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design involving 41 KIP scholarship recipients from the Hindu Economics Study Program. The results indicate that students' participation in academic and non-academic activities correlates positively with their overall engagement. These findings underscore the importance of scholarship programs and supportive activities in enhancing the quality of student experiences on campus and making significant contributions to the development of inclusive and effective higher education policies. In conclusion, the KIP Scholarship Program has a positive impact on student engagement, highlighting the importance of financial support and supportive activities in achieving equitable access to higher education.

Abstract

Every individual or society is obliged to build a harmonious life with each other. No one can walk alone without involving other people, especially those related to common interests such as death, marriage, customs or other interests. The principle of maintaining harmony is of course highly emphasized. Likewise in relation to relations between religious believers, relations with the environment, groups, and so on. It is not uncommon for relations between groups to be disturbed by internal factors such as a lack of openness and external factors such as incitement or inaccurate information obtained. To deal with problems like this, adaptation strategies by implementing the values ​​of harmony contained in the Pawongan concept are emphasized. Pawongan as a noble heritage contains a message of harmony that must be implemented by every individual in society.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the quality of learning in the Postgraduate Religious and Cultural Sciences Study Program at the Mpu Kuturan Singaraja State Hindu Religion College. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. This research was carried out in the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection in this research was carried out by distributing questionnaires online using a Google form to all students of the Religious and Cultural Sciences Study Program Postgraduate STAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja, interviews and focus group discussions. The results of the research show that 75% of students' perceptions of the quality of learning in the Master of Religion and Culture Study Program Postgraduate STAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja were satisfied. Student satisfaction can be seen from three aspects, including: the quality of the teaching and learning process, administrative governance and availability of infrastructure.
