Abstract

Professional branding is a new step in the professional development of a lecturer, which presupposes a holistic process of forming a lecturer's personal brand, which consists of creating a personality image of a lecturer that is attractive, socially recognized, and can be recognized in his professional field. This study aims to identify the extent of the faculty branding process carried out by lecturers of the Business Administration Department of the State Polytechnic of Malang through Instagram social media. A total of 10 respondents were determined using purposive sampling. The data collection method is done by in-depth interview, while the data analysis method uses data triangulation. The results showed that the majority of respondents have carried out professional branding by uploading various outputs that show their respective expertise ranging from education, training (mastery class) to community service. However, there are still no significant findings regarding lecturers' output related to intellectual property rights so that it becomes an opening for further research. Through the results of this study, it can be stated that the Malang State Polytechnic Business Administration Study Program has made efforts to carry out massive faculty branding through lecturer posts on social media.

Abstract

Financial distress is a state of financial difficulty before the company finally experiences bankruptcy. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant negative impact on the financial state of various businesses in the Indonesian tourism industry. To prevent bankruptcy from occurring, it is important to assess the financial situation of affected companies to estimate financial distress. This research aims to analyze the effect of Return on Assets, Current Ratio and Debt to Total Asset Ratio on financial distress conditions in tourism sub-sector service companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2022 period. The population in this research were all tourism sub-sector service companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that published their financial reports in 2019-2022. The sample was searched by purposive sampling and there were 32 companies and obtained 128 observation data consisting of 112 samples of financial distress companies and 16 samples of non-financial distress companies. Financial distress criteria are measured by interest coverage ratio. The statistical analysis used in this research is logistic regression. The results of this research indicate that partially Return on Assets and Debt to Total Asset Ratio affect Financial Distress, while Current Ratio has no effect on Financial Distress. Simultaneously Return on Assets, Current Ratio, and Debt to Total Asset Ratio affect Financial Distress.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of working capital turnover, company size, and sales growth on the profitability of plantation and food crop sub-industrial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study employs quantitative analysis, utilizing financial data covering a five-year period for 25 listed companies. Company size is measured using total assets, while sales growth is evaluated based on the year-on-year revenue growth rate. Working capital turnover is calculated as the ratio of net sales to working capital. The findings reveal that firm size exhibits a significant negative effect on profitability, implying that larger firms may face challenges in optimizing cost efficiency. Conversely, sales growth shows a significant positive effect on profitability, this indicates that companies that experience higher revenue growth tend to achieve better profit margins. However, this research does not find a significant relationship between working capital turnover and profitability, which suggests that effective working capital management may not be an important determinant of profit margins in plantation and food crop sub-industry companies in the Indonesian market. These results provide valuable insights for investors, managers and policy makers in understanding the key drivers of profitability in this particular industry segment and can help make informed financial decisions.

Abstract

Unsafe actions are dangerous behaviors that can cause work accidents, resulting in injury or death. Warehouses are high-risk areas for such incidents due to the presence of unsafe actions during work processes. This study aims to explore the relationship between knowledge, supervision, and work fatigue with unsafe actions among warehouse workers at PT Cipta Krida Bahari Samarinda. This quantitative study employs a cross-sectional design, with a sample size of 50 workers using the total sampling technique. The independent variables are knowledge, supervision, and work fatigue, while the dependent variable is unsafe action. Data analysis utilized univariate and bivariate (chi-square) methods. Results indicated that 54 percent of workers engaged in unsafe actions, 60 percent had good knowledge, 56 percent reported good workplace supervision, and 54 percent experienced fatigue. Bivariate analysis showed no significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.203) and work fatigue (p=0.168) with unsafe actions. However, a significant relationship was found between supervision (p=0.019) and unsafe actions. It is recommended that the company enhance supervision practices and enforce strict penalties for violations to minimize unsafe actions among workers.

Abstract

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world, one of which is colorectal cancer, a malignant tumor in the epithelial tissue of the colon and rectum. Cancer treatment is long-term, so it has an impact on physical and psychological changes for patients. There was many exploration of anticancer drug candidates from natural ingredients such as andrographolide compounds. The in silico method can be done to predicts the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of andrographolide compounds and meets Lipinski Rule of Five. The toxicity of andrographolide compounds was classified in class 4, which needs dose supervision. The prediction of activity potential is quite good based on the Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR). The results of molecular tethering of the three target receptors, namely Cyclooxigenase-2 (COX-2), caspase-3, and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor-2 (VEGFR-2), showed that caspase-3 has the best binding value or affinity of -5.36 kcal/mol, with quite a lot of hydrogen bonds of 7. The amino acids formed in andrographolide compounds are the same as the baseline ligands, so it can be concluded that andrographolide has colorectal anticancer activity and can increase caspase-3 activity in colorectal cancer cells.

Abstract

The government's obligation is to manage land for public and private purposes in accordance with the mandate of Article 33 Paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution which states that land, air and natural resources are controlled by the state for the greatest prosperity of the people. The relocation of Rempang residents became news that was conveyed because it received resistance from local residents and was a resonant action as a result of Presidential Decree Number 41 of 1973 which stated that the management rights of Batam Island were handed over to the Batam Authority, which means that the entire island area located on Batam Island was handed over with rights status management to Batam authorities. The legal issues raised by the author are first, how is the relocation of Rempang residents over control of state-owned land and second, what are the legal consequences of the relocation of Rempang residents over control of state-owned land. The aim to be achieved by this author is to analyze the implementation of the relocation of Rempang residents over control of stateowned land and to analyze the legal results of the relocation of Rempang residents over control of state-owned land.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of productivity on Return on Equity (ROE) in personal care products subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2019-2023 period. Productivity in this research is measured using the ratio of EBIT to Total Production Costs, while asset use efficiency is measured using Total Asset Turnover (TATO). The data used in this research were obtained from the annual financial reports of companies included in the personal care products subsector. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression to test the effect of productivity and TATO on ROE. The research results show that productivity as measured by the ratio of EBIT to Total Production Costs does not have a significant influence on ROE. Meanwhile, TATO shows a significant influence on ROE in the companies studied. These findings indicate that in the personal care products subsector, asset use efficiency has an influence on ROE. However, considering that the R2 value is less than 50%, it is very important to consider that factors such as marketing strategy, product innovation, and cost management may play a more dominant role in determining a company's financial performance. This research provides insight for company management and investors about the importance of considering various factors that influence profitability and overall financial performance. It is recommended for further research to expand the independent variables studied and consider external conditions that can influence research results.

Abstract

Tourism is a crucial industry that boosts economic development and enhances the well-being of communities close to tourist attractions. Despite its potential as a natural tourist destination, the Cunca Wulang waterfall in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, is still hampered by its lack of amenities and accessibility. The purpose of this research is to determine how facilities and accessibility affect Gen Z tourists' desire to return to Cunca Wulang Waterfall. With a survey methodology, the research employs a quantitative strategy. Using the Slovin method, the sample size was determined to be 98 Gen Z tourist respondents. The information was gathered using a Likert scale-based survey, and then SPSS was used to do a multilinear regression analysis. According to the findings, facilities had no discernible impact on the desire to return, but accessibility had a beneficial and considerable impact. At the same time, however, accessibility and amenities were shown to have a considerable impact on the desire to return, with accessibility being the most influential factor. To sum up, the ease of getting to tourist attractions is a key element in persuading Gen Z tourists to return, while facilities still need to be upgraded to improve the tourist experience, even if they aren't as important in particular. Local authorities and tourism managers may utilize the findings of this study as a foundation for creating plans for the long-term development of tourism at Cunca Wulang Waterfall.

Abstract

This study investigates the evolving roles of employees in Indonesia's dynamic startup ecosystem, focusing on the proactive behaviors of Gen Z workers as the country approaches its 2030 and 2045 goals. It addresses the problem of how inclusive leadership influences taking-charge behavior among these employees, with psychological safety and workplace thriving as mediators. This research lies in its specific examination of inclusive leadership within Indonesia's startup culture, a topic that has not been adequately explored. The study employs a quantitative approach utilizing SEM-PLS and Warp-PLS software. Data were collected via surveys from 210 Gen Z employees working in Indonesian startups, allowing for a robust analysis of the relationships between inclusive leadership, taking-charge behavior, and the mediating factors. Finding/Results: The findings indicate that inclusive leadership significantly enhances taking-charge behavior, both directly and indirectly through the mediators of psychological safety and workplace thriving. This underscores the importance of fostering an inclusive environment to promote proactive employee behaviors. Enhancing psychological safety and thriving at work can amplify the positive effects of inclusive leadership on employee proactiveness, with recommendations for future research to explore additional mediators and cultural contexts.
