Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of storynomics and tourism products on interest in visiting Prambanan Temple Tourism Park, Yogyakarta. In an increasingly competitive era of globalization, the tourism sector must innovate in marketing strategies, especially after the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Storynomics that utilize local narratives and culture are expected to increase tourist interest. The research method used is quantitative with data collection through questionnaires from 100 respondents who have an interest in visiting. The results of the regression analysis show that storynomics and tourism products have a positive and significant influence on interest in visiting. The F test shows that both variables simultaneously have a significant influence. From the regression results, storynomics is proven to be the most dominant variable influencing interest in visiting. The emphasis on the story of Roro Jonggrang and tourism products such as local crafts and adequate facilities are the main attractions. This study underlines the importance of implementing a storynomics strategy in tourism promotion, as well as developing tourism products that can increase the attractiveness of Prambanan Temple Tourism Park. Thus, the combination of strong narratives and attractive products can create a unique experience for tourists. The results of this study are expected to contribute to destination managers in designing effective marketing strategies to increase tourist visits.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the world’s second-largest coconut producer, holds significant potential for exporting desiccated coconut to international markets, particularly Poland. However, Indonesia’s market share in Poland remains behind the Philippines, which dominates desiccated coconut imports. The demand for this product in Poland continues to rise, driven by trends in healthy, plant-based food consumption and traditional food processing. This study aims to analyze the potential for increasing Indonesian desiccated coconut exports to Poland and to formulate appropriate strategies to optimize this market during 2022-2024. The research employs qualitative and quantitative methods, analyzing export data within the theoretical frameworks of John Stuart Mill’s international trade theory and Porter’s Diamond Model of competitive advantage. Findings indicate significant opportunities for export growth through improvements in product quality, diversification of value-added products, and strengthening distribution networks in Poland. Indonesia needs to overcome limitations in modern processing and adopt quality standards aligned with the European Union market. In conclusion, the development of innovative products and adaptive marketing strategies are crucial to enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian desiccated coconut exports to Poland, supporting sustainable national economic growth.

Abstract

The concepts of legal validity and legal efficacy are fundamental to assessing the overall effectiveness of legislation. Legal validity refers to the enforceability of legal norms based on procedures formally authorized by law, while legal efficacy pertains to the actual implementation and the tangible benefits experienced by society. Law Number 12 of 2011, along with its subsequent amendments—Law Number 15 of 2019 and Law Number 13 of 2022—incorporates principles and provisions that reflect an effort to integrate these two dimensions. This article aims to examine the conceptual and normative positioning of legal validity and efficacy within Indonesia’s legislative framework and to evaluate the extent to which these regulatory reforms have strengthened legislative effectiveness. Employing a normative juridical approach and legal document analysis, the study finds that public participation, the preparation of academic manuscripts, and the application of analytical tools such as ROCCIPI (Rule, Opportunity, Capacity, Communication, Interest, Process, and Ideology) and RIA (Regulatory Impact Assessment) are key mechanisms for enhancing the substantive effectiveness of Indonesian legislation.

Abstract

Judicial Pardon is a new sentencing guideline contained in the Indonesian National Criminal Code, the existence of Judicial Pardon or the forgiveness of this judge is especially for perpetrators who have indeed committed minor criminal acts, but the regulation is not cumulative where in pardon the judge does not only look at the lightness of the criminal act, but also about the person of the perpetrator and the circumstances at the time the criminal act was committed. Especially in perpetrators (children) based on the UUSPPA prioritizes restorative justice, namely non-formal or out-of-court settlements, but for serious crimes it must be resolved in a formal court, namely through a criminal decision by a judge. The purpose of this study is to describe and solve the legal problems that occur to the perpetrator (children), especially minors and also the process of applying Judicial Pardon for children who commit serious crimes, the formulation of the problem raised first is whether the criminal guidelines regarding ''Judicial Pardon'' can be applied to minors based on the National Criminal Code and UUSPPA, the second is how to settle the law regarding serious crimes committed by minors. The research method used is normative legal research. The results of the first research in the National Criminal Code and UUSPPA have regulated the Judicial Pardon where the National Criminal Code implements the SPPA Law so that it can be applied not only to children but also to adults, related to the application of judge's pardon is indeed specifically for the perpetrator (child), but for the perpetrator (child) who commits a serious criminal act must be punished, They (children) should be given a "Judicial Pardon" halfway or not absolutely, in other words, they are forgiven, but they are still given action regarding the serious crime that has been committed. Second, the legal settlement that occurs to the perpetrator (child) can be done by means of Judicial Pardon considering that the article that regulates Judicial Pardon is not cumulative because there is a comma and or so that if one of them is fulfilled, the Judge can grant a Judicial Pardon One of them is looking at the personal side of the perpetrator (child) where children still have a labile mindset so that they can still be directed to be good and acceptable to the community again.

Abstract

In the context of the coffee shop industry, it is important to understand how effective management methods can be applied to improve product and service quality. One approach that is gaining popularity is the Agile method, which was originally used in software development. These methods are now starting to be adapted in coffee shop production planning and control, enabling faster response to changing customer needs. Agile methods emphasize collaboration and iterative development, which is expected to improve product quality. However, the implementation of Agile methods is not easy. The process requires a deep understanding of the integration of various variables to achieve the desired goal. In this study, quality improvement serves as an important mediating variable, bridging the relationship between Agile methods and customer satisfaction. This research uses descriptive and associative approaches, where descriptive research describes the characteristics of respondents, while associative research tests the relationship between independent, mediating, and dependent variables. The research population includes all Be Adab Coffee Shop customers, with a sample size of 80 respondents. The data was analyzed using Smart PLS (Partial Least Squares) software. The results showed that the Agile method in planning has a positive effect on customer satisfaction, which means that the application of this method can make a good contribution. However, the effect of Agile methods on quality is insignificant, indicating that quality improvement cannot be relied upon as a direct result of applying these methods. In contrast, production control was shown to have a significant influence on quality. In addition, quality also has a positive impact on customer satisfaction. However, analysis of the effect of Agile methods in planning on customer satisfaction through quality showed no significant effect.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilization on middle manager performance in the digital creative industry of Malang City using the Technology-to-Performance Chain (TPC) approach. Specifically, this study examines how Task Characteristics and Technology Characteristics influence Task-Technology Fit (TTF), and their subsequent impact on manager performance through Utilization as a mediating variable. The research method employed is quantitative cross-sectional. Data were collected via questionnaires from 182 middle managers and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that complex task characteristics and reliable AI technology characteristics significantly influence the formation of Task-Technology Fit. Furthermore, TTF is proven to have a positive and significant effect on middle manager performance, both directly and indirectly through utilization as a mediator. These findings indicate that the fit between Generative AI capabilities and managerial task requirements drives more intensive technology utilization, which ultimately enhances efficiency and decision-making quality.

Abstract

Hsinchu, known as the Silicon Valley of Taiwan and the 'Windy City', presents a paradox: a globally significant technology hub that remains largely undiscovered by international tourists compared to Taipei and Kaohsiung. This study examines two dominant barriers that impede international tourists from independently exploring Hsinchu's iconic attractions—namely, the complexity of public transportation systems and the pervasive language constraints arising from Chinese-language dominance in public signage, ticketing systems, and service encounters. Employing an interpretive qualitative methodology, this research conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews with 24 international tourists from 14 countries who visited Hsinchu between August and November 2024. Data were analysed using Braun and Clarke's (2006) six-phase reflexive thematic analysis, yielding four overarching themes: (1) navigational disorientation in multi-modal transit systems; (2) communicative exclusion at transport interfaces; (3) cumulative anxiety and destination avoidance; and (4) adaptive coping strategies and technological mediation. The findings reveal that language barriers and transportation complexity function not as isolated inconveniences but as mutually reinforcing constraints that produce compounded tourist anxiety and significantly reduce destination reach, particularly for non-Chinese-speaking independent travellers. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed, with particular attention to destination marketing, smart tourism infrastructure, and multilingual accessibility frameworks. The study contributes to growing scholarship on under-researched secondary cities in East Asia and advances understanding of inclusive tourism development in language-complex destinations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of workload, motivation, and time management on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable in the modern retail industry. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach using survey data collected through the distribution of structured questionnaires with a five-point Likert scale to employees in modern retail companies. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that workload and time management have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while motivation does not significantly affect job satisfaction. Furthermore, time management and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, whereas workload and motivation do not have a direct effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction was found to fully mediate the relationship between workload and employee performance and partially mediate the relationship between time management and employee performance. The findings highlight the importance of workload management and improving employees’ time management skills in enhancing employee performance in the modern retail industry.
