Abstract

This article aims to reveal the historical roots and patterns of the fundamentalism movement among students in the City of Kediri. This article is based on the field a qualitative case study. Fundamentalism is a movement that is very close to radicalism. However, the spread of fundamentalism was also found in educational institutions. This article concludes that after going through a series of in-depth studies, this article concludes that historically it cannot be found when this fundamentalism movement began to spread in State Senior High School 1 (SMAN) and State Senior High School 2 (SMAN) Kediri. What is found is that there are Islamic study activities that have allegedly been around since the school began operating. Both in SMAN 1 and SMAN 2 Kediri, no definitive clue was given as to when the spread of the religious fundamentalism movement began. The fundamentalist movement patterns in SMAN 1 and SMAN 2 Kediri City have similarities, namely through Islamic study activities. In SMAN 1, Kediri City, there are SKI activities. Meanwhile, at SMAN 2 Kediri, there were a number of activities, such as PETUAH (Saturday Sunday Pesantren) BAO, MabÄ«t (the night of devotion), and Aqidah. There is also the At-Tholab association (a collection of several schools). Abstract

This research seeks to uncover the strategy of development of work ethic and the spirit of learning of students at Islamic educational institutions at the Integral School of Lukman al-Hakim, Surabaya. The significance of this research lies in the thesis that concluded that as great as any renewal made by education, both public and Islamic, the conception of curriculum, concepts, management, methodologies, if not sustained by the spirit of the child Students to change, the change is futile. One of the students’ spirit analyses is social capital. It is proven in many quality education institutions with students who achievers apply the model of social capital development of students as the main gate. This research is an emperor who is approached by a qualitative approach to analysis. The data retrieval technique uses two methods; Documentation and observation. The researcher’s position in this regard as a participatory observer. After conducting the research, We found some final findings. Social capital analysis of students consists of social capital in community and social capital at school. Social Capital in the community consists of 1) genealogical Trust (belief in offspring), which is the assessment of society on the family of students and has a strong influence on the learning power of Students 2) Stimulation Trust (trust On stimulation). Social capital in this aspect is the optimism of parents and families to the students, 3) collaboration, meaning cooperation between students with families, with their fellow students, fellow learners but different levels and so on, and 4) values and norms. The last social capital of the community is concerned about the social norms that are so complex. Secondly, the social capital in the school consists of four things, namely mutual trust, networking, interaction or communication, value, and norms.

Abstract

Religious culture of pesantren has its uniqueness which is still expected to be a support for the development of the education system in Indonesia. The authenticity and distinctiveness of the pesantren as well as the treasure the nation’s cultural traditions, is also a butter force for the educational pillar to bring up moral leaders of the nation, is a form of pesantren education that is characterized by traditionalism. This study used a qualitative approach. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and content analysis. The process of improving the quality of pesantren education is part of the development of national education, which is part of an effort to improve the quality of full human education. For achieving the quality of education, it must be based on a significant change. The change is needed in the management of quality and competitive educational institutions. Now one of the challenges faced by educational institutions is how to manage quality. Quality educational institutions, institutions that prioritize the quality of graduates and are able to demonstrate the values of education that make a top priority, due to a significant change in pesantren.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of nurturing religious and moral values to children at early childhood education since the development of this aspect is urgent to establish the laying foundation of students’ character in the next future. This research is a qualitative descriptive study which uses participative observation, in-depth-interview, and documentation to conduct the data. Meanwhile, the data analyses techniques used Miles & Huberman concept. The findings showed that nurturing religious and moral values within children at Aisyiyah 13 Kindergarten have been cultivated through scientific-based learning and indirect learning through morning activities. In the process of scientific-based learning, the teachers integrated the latest curriculum, al-Islam curriculum, and Kemuhammadiyahan with such materials that are faithful, worship, and morals. Based on the students’ performance, it is known that almost students achieved very good growth related to spiritual attitude. The last part of the article identifies the factor that supports students in enhancing religious and moral values that is the curriculum framework that accommodates religious classroom environment design and the role of teachers and principals. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors of internalizing religious and moral values to early childhood were teachers got difficulties in integrating the core material of Curriculum 2013, al-Islam, and specific content based on the school affiliated to such as Kemuhammadiyahan

Abstract

This research aims to reveal and analyze the function of Islamic boarding schools (Ponoka Pesantren) on the border of West Kalimantan-Malaysia. The Author Will analyze the awareness of the priest/leader (Kyai) of Islamic boarding schools (Ponoka Pesantren) in developing the spirit of nationalism in the region. And to find a Kyai leadership model design based on 4 (four) National Basic Consensus in the border region of West Kalimantan-Malaysia. This type of research used is qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of the study are 2 Kyai, 4 Ustadz, 4 Madrasah Heads, 4 students, and 4 community leaders. The conclusions in this research are as follows; (1) the functions of Islamic boarding schools in the border region of West Kalimantan-Malaysia are boarding schools as Preaching/da'wah institutions, educational institutions, and social institutions. (2) Kyai's awareness in developing the spirit of nationalism in Islamic boarding schools in the border region of West Kalimantan-Malaysia is still relatively weak. The lack of maximum understanding of students and other residents of the Ponoka Pesantren about the national values and the lack of empowerment in the community of the Ponoka Pesantren environment in such activities to strengthening national values, such as the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, United Indonesia (NKRI), and Unity in Diversity are indicating the weakness. This is because the Kyai is still very focusing on carrying out the function of the Ponoka Pesantren as an educational institution and only preaching. (3) The design of the Kyai leadership model based on four basic consensuses of the nation in Islamic boarding schools in the border region of West Kalimantan-Malaysia is can be seen in the leadership model design diagram that researchers found.

Abstract

This article analyzes the implementation of the Nahwu Abstract book as a method in increasing the ability to read the Fath al-QarÄ«b book in the private vocational school of Ibtida’iyah Islamiyah Genukwatu Ngoro Jombang. Nahwu Abstract is according to Nahwu science taken from various preferred Nahwu books such as JurÅ«mÄ«yah, ImrÄ«thi, AlfÄ«yah and other Nahwu books. This Nahwu book is called Nahwu science which is taken from various preferred Nahwu books such as Jurumiah, Imrithi, Alfiyah and other Nahwu books, and this Nahwu book is called the rules of Nahwu. I concluded as follows: (1) Implementation of the Nahwu Abstract method for beginners to improve the ability to read the book Fath al-QarÄ«b. Conducted during study hours and at additional hours. In teaching teachers, use other methods such as sorogan. (2) Supporting factors for the implementation of the Nahwu Abstract method: professional teachers, approved books, students who are interested in learning the Nahwu Abstract method, the pesantren environment and additional jams twice in the update. (3) Obstacles and solutions to the application of the Nahwu Abstract method: lack of class hours, the solution is to hold extra hours, not all students take extra hours, the solution involves extra hours, noise during study hours, the solution is to move to the mosque and to the parents’ home.

Abstract

This article discusses the Business Entity condition of Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri, the involvement of santri and communities in Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri's Business Entity, and the contribution of Business Entities towards Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri, santri and their communities. This article was prepared using a qualitative case study type method. This article concludes that Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri have a Business Entity. Business entities owned by Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri has established three Perseroan Terbatas stands for PT (Limited Company). PT. Sidogiri Mitra Utama serves the needs of santri, PT. Sidogiri Mandiri Utama, engaged in bottled drinking water and PT. Sidogiri Pandu Utama, engaged in the Outsourcing Provider and Training Center. The involvement of santri and the community around these two Pondok Pesantren in managing the Business Entity is quite active. This active participation implies that these very diverse Business Entities are all oriented towards improving welfare. So that the existence of Business Entity's Pondok Pesantren positively contributes to the independence of santri, Pondok Pesantren, and the community.

Abstract

This article reveals the relationship between the role of peer educators in the socio-religious awareness of Women Sexual Workers (WPS) in Krian Village, Ngadiluwih, Kediri Regency. Peer educator is a solution from the Regional Government that is given to WPS who are considered to have strengths and abilities in peer communication. The main objective is to prevent HIV/AIDS in the area of localization. There is no denying that WPS always get negative stigma from the community. Moreover, localization has always been the most vulnerable point in the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) such as HIV/AIDS. Therefore, the Regional Government held a peer educator program so that the socialization of the dangers of the disease could be disseminated through fellow WPS. This article was prepared with a qualitative-descriptive methodology of the phenomenological study type. Data were collected through observation and interviews with a number of key respondents. This article concludes that peer educators work using a personal approach, promoting friendship, kinship, and empathy. The peer educator officers felt a personal, interpersonal, and impact on family relationships whereas the forms of diversity of the peer educator officers can be categorized into three, namely symbolic religion, identity religion, and camouflage religion.

Abstract

In the Islamic University lately, there is a growing awareness to memorise the Qur’an. This phenomenon continues to develop along with the various open opportunities provided by the manager of higher education for those who memorise the Qur’an. This research will focus on the motivation to memorise the Qur’an, the method of memorising the Qur’an, and the achievements of students memorising the Qur’an. This research is descriptive. The use of interview, observation, and documentation methods and analysis of reflective data in research has enabled him to understand more deeply about the existence of memorising the Qur’an. The results showed that students’ motivation in memorising the Qur’an was inspired by people who memorised the Qur’an first, especially families who had indeed been directed so that all family members memorised the Qur’an and also wanted to get virtue from rote learning al-Qur’an. The method of memorising the Qur’an used is al-nazar or tarÄ«qat takrÄ«r al-qirÄat al-juz’ī (read repeatedly or slowly) while still maintaining the tradition of using the genealogy of the cleric or clerics to one another continuously. Al-Qur’an memorisation students achieved an average of 3.46 from the 0-4 interval, but most of them were above 3.5.

Abstract

There is not much Islamic madrasa in the majority of non-Muslim regions. The existence of Islamic madrassas is important for Muslim communities who live in predominantly non-Muslim areas. In the province of North Maluku, there are approximately nine madrassas that have existed until now. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the existence of these madrassas in a society that is predominantly non-Muslim. The research focuses on is the social support influence the aspiration of the students of Madrasah Aliyah in West Halmahera regency. The method used in this research is quantitative correlational which aim to know the correlation between the predictor variable with the criterium variable. The result of the research shows that for all, education aspiration, social support, and also perception and subject its in-between position category. Subject shows that aspiration education has a correlation with social support and perception. Social support research subject has more than a contribution to education aspiration compare with perception, that’s why, its concluded that simultaneity social support and perception have the influence to education aspiration, The highly social support, the high education aspiration. Otherwise, the high education perception owned, it means the high aspiration education must be owned too.
