Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, one of the abilities that every individual must have is to be able to understand well the information that is widespread on digital platforms. The amount of information that uses English terms often creates pros and cons in society because of the inability to understand the meaning contained in the text. Even though English is the language of connection that will bridge the occurrence of interaction feedback globally. The focus of the author is to provide socialization and assistance to residents using an ethnographic approach that combines historical methods, observation, and interviews. This aims to explain the importance of understanding a foreign text from various disclosure of information with the assistance of literate culture as an act preventive against hoaxes, especially for residents of the District Kaliombo, Kota Kediri. However, information can be a trigger for weak immunity and affect people's thinking, language, and behavior. Linguistic Politeness will describe the characteristics of the community itself and become a major foothold in the act. Several pending findings resulted.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the understanding of local Sufis and revivalists about Selawat Nabi. The two schools, if their ideological roots are traced, are different. But they both share the concept of Selawat Nabi which is believed to be the construct of understanding. This research is interesting, because local Sufis with theological revivalists (not sharia, which is ritual muamalah), still carry out the construct of thought. This is also a point of research significance. This research is a qualitative-descriptive literature review with a phenomenological approach. The result of this research is that local Sufis state that the Prophet's selawat is a medium to achieve wusul to Allah accompanied by appreciation through the concept of opening, it will be acceptable because it is closely related to the formation of adab so that it is kept away from behavior that can harm oneself and others. The figure of the Messenger of Allah is to make him live in the soul by verbally reproducing selawat. The routine of reading selawat is a connection between the readers of selawat and the Prophet which is actualized in the behavior of imitating the Prophet's morals. Revivalists adhere to selawat ma'surat whose pronunciation is following the guidance of the Prophet. Saying selawat is not the main thing in loving the Prophet, but the most important thing is to make the Prophet's figure to live in the soul and have the morals of the Prophet.

Prophet Khidir as a teacher taught some material to Prophet Musa. His meeting with Prophet Khidir made Prophet Musa understand about inner knowledge and gain various knowledge and experiences that he had not previously obtained. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, and procedurally this study uses the comparison method with literature study techniques in data collection. The author uses several classical and modern Qur’an interpretation books as references in this study. Research result shows that this teaching and learning process raises educational interactions which include: educational goals, educators, students, educational methods, and educational media. The educational interaction components in this study are very useful for educators and students in carrying out teaching and learning activities

Abstract

The study is intended to develop a teaching model to foster Indonesian students to be autonomous learners. The study is participatory action research with mixed method. The research subjects were English department students of State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung and IAIN Kediri taking Writing 1. The instrument was adapted from established instrument to meet the purpose of the study. Quantitative data were analyzed through correlated t-test and repeated measure ANOVA, while qualitative data were analyzed through thematic content analysis. There were eight stages in the study: identifying needs, setting goals, planning learning, selecting resources, selecting learning strategies, practice, monitoring progress, and assessment and revision. These all stages were designed and determined together by the teachers and students. The results reveal that there are four main stages to enhance the students’ autonomy in writing. The first is free writing in which the students wrote a paragraph freely on any topic they liked. Having finished this first draft, they were to self-check their own work based on some criteria provided. The second is peer correction in which they exchanged their own work to their peers (peer correction) in order to gain some suggestion, correction, and comments. The third is edited free-writing. Having got some suggestion, correction, and comments from peers, they started to revise their own work. The last is final copy. Inthis stage, they were to have final self-check. Statistical analysis also reveals that this strategy significantly increases the students’ learning autonomy.

Abstract

his paper aims to strengthen human resources (HR) which is of course very important in improving the quality of Islamic education. In this era of global competition, the trend of education is experiencing a shift in orientation that places human development as a whole through education and training of various types, levels, characteristics and forms. The education of Indonesian people as a whole is idealized to be the culmination point of achieving the national education which has so far been the dream of the Indonesian people. The idolized personal figure has not yet been produced, so educational institutions are used as alternative expectations, as the main instrument of the humanitarian and humanitarian process, namely respecting and giving freedom of opinion and expression. Such appreciation is a seed that begins to grow, and as a process freedom is constantly being fought for. The pattern of educational leadership in increasing human resources must be pursued through Islamic education that can be developed through transformational and charismatic leadership in madrasas supported by institutional strength, business networks and bureaucratic networks.
