Abstract

This study intends to analyze early childhood development in Christian Education. Early childhood development in Christian Education is an important basis for child development. The method used in this study is qualitative with a literature study approach. Research findings reveal that Christian values in early childhood learning are important to be given as a foundation for the formation of attitudes and socio-psychological development of children. In this regard, Christian education needs to take a role in explaining, complementing, undertaking, directing and helping children grow in knowledge of attitudes and actions based on Christian values. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis perkembangan anak usia dini dalam Pendidikan Kristiani. Perkembangan anak usia dini dalam Pendidikan Kristiani menjadi dasar penting dalam perkembangan anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa nilai-nilai kristiani dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini penting untuk diberikan sebagai landasan pembentukan sikap dan perkembangan sosial-psikologi anak. Dalam hal ini, pendidikan kristiani perlu mengambil peran dalam menjelaskan, melengkapi, menyanggupkan, mengarahkan dan membantu anak bertumbuh dalam pengetahuan sikap dan perbuatan berdasarkan nilai-nilai Kristiani.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of implementation of digital era Christian Religious Learning at Palangka Raya Christian High School. To reveal the purpose of the study, this research method is qualitative descriptive research. The results of the study revealed that the form of implementing Christian Religious Education learning online (online) using the WA application (WhatsApp), Classroom, and Zoom meetings. The strategy for implementing teacher learning for Christian religion subjects in Christian high schools is an expository learning strategy, problem-based and cooperative learning strategy. Its application is arranged alternately and which is a consideration of whether or not the material is appropriate with the learning strategies used. The implementation of the implementation of the learning strategy has not been carried out consistently, which is indicated that it has not fully met the provisions as in the application of the learning strategy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Agama Kristen era digital di SMA Kristen Palangka Raya. Untuk mengungkapkan tujuan penelitian tersebut, maka metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa bentuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen secara online (daring) dengan menggunakan aplikasi WA (WhatsApp), Classroom, dan zoom meeting. Strategi pelaksanaan pembelajaran guru mata pelajaran agama kristen di SMA Kristen yaitu strategi pembelajaran ekspositori, berbasis masalah dan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif. Penerapannya diatur secara bergantian dan yang menjadi pertimbangan apakah materi itu sesuai atau tidak dengan strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan. Pelaksanaan penerapan startegi pembelajaran tersebut, belum terlaksanan secara konsisten, yang ditandai belum sepenuhnya memenuhi ketentuan-ketentuan sebagaimana dalam penerapan strategi pembelajaran tersebut.

Abstract

The five-day school policy caused controversy from various parties which the government then addressed by issuing a Character Strengthening Program policy as an affirmation of the goals of the five-day school policy. Christian Religion teachers have a major role in strengthening students’ character so that the five-day school policy has serious implications for Christian Religion teachers. Using the Systematic Literature Review method, this study aims to explore the link between the five-day school policy and the role of Christian Religion teachers in strengthening students’ character. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that Christian Religion teachers have important roles to play in the success of the five-day school policy and must carry out their roles properly as guides, motivators, parents, and role models for students. Christian Religion teachers must also be able to become interpreters of the Christian faith, shepherds and evangelists for their students. If Christian Religion teachers carry out their roles well, the process of strengthening students’ character in the implementation of the five-day school policy will also run well. Christian Religion teachers can actualized the strengthening of students’ character in three ways, namely intra-curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities so that students’ character can be built optimally at school. Kebijakan lima hari sekolah menimbulkan kontroversi dari berbagai pihak yang kemudian disikapi oleh pemerintah dengan mengeluarkan kebijakan Program Penguatan Karakter sebagai penegasan tujuan dari kebijakan lima hari sekolah tersebut. Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen memiliki peran yang besar dalam penguatan karakter siswa sehingga kebijakan lima hari sekolah memiliki implikasi yang serius bagi guru PAK. Dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengupas kaitan kebijakan lima hari sekolah dengan peran guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam penguatan karakter siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapati bahwa Guru PAK memiliki peran penting untuk menyukseskan kebijakan lima hari sekolah dan harus menjalankan perannya dengan baik sebagai pembimbing, motivator, orangtua,serta teladan bagi siswa. Guru PAK juga harus mampu menjadi penafsir iman Kristen, gembala dan penginjil bagi siswanya. Apabila peran guru PAK ini dilaksanakan dengan baik maka proses penguatan karakter siswa dalam implementasi kebijakan lima hari sekolah juga akan berjalan dengan baik. Guru PAK dapat mewujudkan penguatan karakter siswa dalam tiga hal yaitu kegiatan intrakurikuler, kokurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler agar karakter siswa dapat dibentuk secara optimal di sekolah.

Abstract

This study explores the contribution of education in ancient Israel and its application to Christian education for children today. The study begins by examining the education system in ancient Israel, including the role of parents, religious leaders, and formal institutions in imparting knowledge and moral teachings. Taking lessons from the ancient Israelites, the study then explores how these principles can be applied to Christian education today. It examines the role of parents, teachers, and the church community in fostering a nurturing and holistic educational environment. It also investigates the use of Scripture, prayer, worship, and ministry to engage children in their faith journey. The purpose of this study emphasizes the value of integrating educational wisdom and practices in ancient Israel into modern Christian education. By adopting a holistic approach that combines Scripture, experiential learning, community engagement, and character building, Christian educators can provide a solid foundation for children to develop lifelong faith, moral values, and a living relationship with God. This study used a literature review research method that investigated books and journals related to ancient Israeli education. Studi ini mengeksplorasi kontribusi pendidikan di Israel kuno dan penerapannya pada pendidikan Kristen untuk anak-anak saat ini. Studi dimulai dengan mengkaji sistem pendidikan di Israel kuno, termasuk peran orang tua, pemimpin agama, dan lembaga formal dalam menyampaikan pengetahuan dan ajaran moral. Mengambil pelajaran dari bangsa Israel kuno, penelitian ini kemudian mengeksplorasi bagaimana prinsip-prinsip ini dapat diterapkan pada pendidikan Kristen saat ini. Ini mengkaji peran orang tua, guru, dan komunitas gereja dalam membina lingkungan pendidikan yang mengasuh dan holistik. Itu juga menyelidiki penggunaan Kitab Suci, doa, ibadah, dan pelayanan sebagai sarana untuk melibatkan anak-anak dalam perjalanan iman mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini menekankan nilai integrasi kebijaksanaan dan praktik pendidikan di Israel kuno ke dalam pendidikan Kristen modern. Dengan mengadopsi pendekatan holistik yang menggabungkan Kitab Suci, pengalaman belajar, keterlibatan masyarakat, dan pembentukan karakter, pendidik Kristen dapat memberikan landasan yang kokoh bagi anak-anak untuk mengembangkan iman seumur hidup, nilai-nilai moral, dan hubungan yang hidup dengan Tuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kajian pustaka yang menyelidiki buku-buku dan jurnal yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan Israel kuno.

Abstract

The role of the teacher as the guardian of students to educate children is very important. Every action of the teacher becomes a reflection for the child, whether it is good or bad. However, children's character is mostly formed in the family environment, especially junior high school children aged 13-15 years who are still very unstable in thinking and acting. Everything seen by them will be absorbed and followed faster. The character education of children by parents as guardians of students is very central and important. Therefore, it is very necessary to equip the guardian parents of students in educating children and there is a need for cooperation between teachers and parents in educating children. The purpose of this study is to explain the implementation of teaching ethics for guardians of students in educating the character of junior high school children aged 13-15 years. In this study, the authors used qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Thus, in educating children, guardians (parents and teachers) need to recognize what character education is, establish communication for educational purposes, establish cooperation with guardians, and assist guardians in educating in the family environment to form a disciplined, responsible, and honest child character. Therefore, cooperation between teachers and parents is indispensable. Peran guru dalam mendidik anak memang sangatlah penting. Akan tetapi, karakter anak sebagian besar terbentuk di dalam lingkungan keluarga, khususnya anak Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) usia 13-15 tahun yang masih sangat labil dalam berpikir dan bertindak. Segala sesuatu yang dilihat oleh mereka akan lebih cepat diserap dan diikuti. Pendidikan karakter anak oleh orang tua selaku wali peserta didik menjadi hal yang sangat sentral dan penting. Oleh karena itu, perlu sekali untuk memperlengkapi orang tua wali peserta didik dalam mendidik anak dan perlu adanya kerjasama antara guru dan orang tua dalam mendidi anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk memaparkan implementasi etika wali peserta didik dalam mendidik karakter anak SMP usia 13-15 tahun. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Dengan demikian, dalam mendidik anak, orang tua selaku wali peserta didik dalam lingkungan keluarga, perlu mengenali apa itu pendidikan karakter, menjalin komunikasi untuk kepentingan pendidikan, menjalin kerjasama dengan guru, dan membantu guru dalam mendidik di lingkungan keluarga untuk membentuk karakter anak yang disiplin, bertanggung jawab, dan jujur. Oleh karena itu, orang tua perlu sekali untuk mengerti etika mengajar sebagai upaya kolaborasi dengan guru dalam mendidik karakter anak.

Abstract

Education always got development and need professional teachers in the application to reach the purpose of education. Through writing this paper will reviewed how a professional teacher is and what the importance to become a professional Christian teacher in digital era reviewed based on biblical Christian worldview. Method that used in writing this paper is literature study method. Based on the result of review in this paper, known that professional teacher is a teacher that mastered all of teacher competence and can follow education development that shown by the teacher competence to use technology. By mastered all of competence that must have by teacher and utilize technology for support the learning process, teacher will be able to create learning process that can reach the purpose of education. The professional teacher will be able to introduce God to their students, and bring students to become person that more like Christ. Be a professional teacher is a responsibility for a Christian teacher in doing their calling, so advice to every teacher to follow trainings that can support teacher become a professional teacher, especially related with information and communication technology.

Abstract

The relationship between Christian continuity and Judaism is also a fascinating study in terms of the practice of Christian education. The implementation of Christian Education often goes too far in referring to material from the teachings of Rabbi Judaism in the process of its implementation without stating the affirmation of the nature of Christian Education itself on that reference. The purpose of this manuscript is as an anti-thesis of the Jewish rabbinic teaching pattern "... they teach it but don't practice it," which was strongly criticized by Jesus and as a reflection of the implementation of Christian Education in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature review. The conclusion is, first, it is necessary to affirm the nature of Christian Education among the educational principles of the rabbis in the context of its time because the teachings of Jesus are very much in contrast to the teachings of Judaism. Second, the challenges of implementing Christian education in Indonesia are diverse and multi-layered, so it is full of teaching dichotomies. Third, the pattern of teaching Jesus as a fundamental principle for implementing Christian Education is not to get trapped and make mistakes made by Jewish rabbis. Abstract

Interest in learning plays an important role in the student learning process. Students who have a low interest in learning, the quality of learning will decrease and will affect student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research was conducted to describe students' interest in learning Christian education in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya and find out the factors that cause a lack of interest student learning in participating in Christian Religion education lessons in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. Qualitative research approach with descriptive research. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed 1) 5 (39%) students with low learning interest, 5 (38%) students with moderate learning interest and 3 (23%) students with high learning interest. 2) Factors causing the lack of interest in student learning, from internal factors, health, disabilities and internal motivation. External factors include teaching tools and teaching methods.

Abstract

The picture and picture type cooperative learning models is an appropriate learning model in developing student creativity, generating is a sense of fun during learning by arranging pictures in the correct order. This research uses quantitative approach with experimental research data analysis with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics and hypothesis testing to see the influence of two variables with the t-test. The aims of this research are 1). To determine the effect of the picture and picture type cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of class III-B students 2). To compare picture and picture type cooperative learning model with lecture model on the learning outcomes of class III-B students at Junior High School 5 Menteng Palangka Raya. The results of this research in the paired sample t-test show a 2-tailed sig result of 0.00 < 0.05, so There is an influence of the picture and picture model on student learning outcomes and the independent sample t-test obtained a result of 0.01 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the picture and picture cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes compared to the lecture model.

Abstract

This study explores the application of Max Weber's seminal work, Protestant Ethics and the Spirit of Capitalism, as a basis for Christian religious education to effectively address the issue of poverty in modern society. By examining the historical context and underlying principles, the author suggests how Christian religious education can use Weber's ideas to promote critical understanding of economic issues and empower people to participate in overcoming poverty. The method used is a literature study approach, where the author collects data from books and relevant topics or issues in this research. The results of this study seek to bridge Weber's sociological insights with the teachings of Christian religious education, by looking at how the principles of hard work, discipline, and individual responsibility can be instilled through the lens of Christian religious education to empower communities in the fight against poverty. By instilling values that promote economic empowerment, community development, and social responsibility, Christian religious education emerges as a powerful tool to address the challenges of poverty in contemporary society.
