This research aims to investigate the factors endangering the future of our nation's youth, who are its hope and lifeblood, as well as how youth endangerment can be mitigated. A qualitative research design was used in this study to understand better the nature and character of youth endangerment in Nigeria. This theoretical study relied on secondary data from books, journal articles, and other publications to back up its claims. Multiple secondary sources were used to reduce the possibility of error and improve the study's reliability and validity. Abstract

Social media has been a significant influence in moulding young voters' political knowledge and engagement, hence improving their political literacy. This study aims to determine social media's role in increasing young voters' political literacy. The method used in this study is a literature review. The stages used in the literature review are article collection, reduction, display, organizing and discussing, and drawing conclusions. This study showed that social media has become a new domain for voters, especially first-time voters with competing candidate pairs. First, social media's role in political literacy is as an agent for disseminating information about political processes and development policies. Second, they become agents of accentuating views, opinions and even people's attitudes towards certain political phenomena. Third, social media is a public space for free discussion and political literacy. Fourth, social media has contributed to the promotion of democracy by carrying out the function of social control, for example the E-KTP corruption case.

Abstract

In a democratic system, the success of general elections is highly dependent on the integrity and neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), which is an integral part of organizing fair and free elections. Therefore, it is important to discuss the protection strategy of the ASN in the context of democratic elections. The focus is on addressing two serious threats, namely money politics and intimidation, which often disrupt the integrity of elections. In this case, the researcher seeks to identify efforts that should be taken to protect ASN so that they can carry out their electoral duties reasonably and free from external pressure, which includes various strategies that can be used, including strengthening election-related regulations, increasing ASN awareness about the risks of money politics and intimidation, and the role of election monitoring institutions in supporting election integrity. By implementing this strategy, it is hoped that general elections can become more democratic and have integrity. ASN is also expected to be protected from political money and intimidation threats during the election process.

Abstract

Waste management has transcended from a mere environmental concern to a pivotal economic opportunity, particularly in urban landscapes. The Government of Lhokseumawe City has issued the Qanun Number 9 of 2015 concerning waste management, a cornerstone in this paradigm shift. This study analyzes the implementation of the Qanun for economic values in Lhokseumawe City and the obstacles faced in its execution. The research adopts a qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the full implementation of Qanun Number 9 is hindered by budget constraints at the Environmental Agency (DLH)  of Lhokseumawe City and challenging social environmental conditions, which make waste management difficult to control. Even though DLH has set appropriate waste management targets, obstacles cannot be avoided, including ineffective socialization, apathy towards cleanliness, and difficulties faced by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in obtaining raw materials for plastic waste. Meanwhile, positive supporting factors were found, including the persistent efforts of officers in carrying out outreach activities, increased public awareness of the importance of cleanliness, and support from village officials in waste management outreach activities carried out by DLH.

Abstract

A multicultural society is an intricate social construct with diverse components, including ethnicity, religion, and race, which engage in social interactions that mutually impact one another. Nevertheless, minority groups frequently find themselves in a precarious and subjugated state. The prevalence of majority dominance frequently leads to repressive actions, subsequently provoking resistance from minority factions and even escalating into violent conflicts. This article aims to seek novel strategies for governing pluralistic communities, emphasizing the significance of multicultural consciousness as the fundamental basis for formulating comprehensive and equitable policies. To effectively navigate the intricacies of ethnic interactions, it is essential to implement policies and activities that prioritize justice, autonomy, and shared accountability. To achieve a harmonious multicultural society, it is necessary to reorganize government institutions and create an atmosphere that values, appreciates, and incorporates multiple identities, hence promoting fairness and equality. This article suggests developing an enhanced framework for effectively managing social conflict and fostering harmony in a diverse society.

Abstract

The problem of wages is more than just nominal. Other things are important to note, such as the time of payment and the wage component. Likewise, eligibility and fairness must be seen from the mechanism for determining it so that inequality between workers and job providers does not occur. The philosophy of wages as a form of worker protection is needed for government intervention to issue regulations made by the government by setting a minimum limit of salary/wages to be paid by the company to its workers. The Aceh government has set the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) to ensure wage equity between workers and job providers. This research is qualitative research that uses secondary data as a data source. The data used is Aceh Governor Regulation No. 560/1539/2022. The data was analyzed by describing the UMP setting system in Aceh and its relevance to the principles of justice, eligibility, and virtue. The results indicated that the setting of Aceh's minimum wage is relevant to the concept of wages in Islam and has fulfilled the principles of wages in Islam based on justice, eligibility, and virtue principles.
