Abstract

Spermatozoa motility is one of the key indicators in determining male fertility quality. Manual assessment of motility abnormalities often requires significant time and effort, thus necessitating a more efficient and accurate automated approach. This study aims to identify abnormalities in spermatozoa motility using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, utilizing microscopic video data analyzed through TrackPy for spermatozoa trajectory tracking. The analysis process involves data acquisition, spermatozoa detection in each frame, sperm trajectory construction, and trajectory classification into normal or abnormal categories. The SVM model was trained using a dataset derived from spermatozoa trajectories classified based on parameters such as average velocity and trajectory linearity. The results show that the method achieved the highest accuracy of 89 percent in identifying spermatozoa motility abnormalities in HD resolution videos with a frame rate of 30 fps.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model on the Reading Literacy Ability of Grade V Students of SDN Tanah Kalikedinding II Surabaya. This study used a quantitative method of quasi-experimental type with a Pretest-Postest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study was grade V students of SDN Tanah Kalikedinding II Surabaya. The research sample was 60 students with the Purposive Sampling technique. Data collection used written tests and observation sheets for the implementation of the learning model. The data analysis technique used was the Independent Samples T-Test. The results of the study showed that from the independent sample t-test, Sig. (2-tailed) was obtained, namely 0.022 <0.05, then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there is a significant influence in the application of the Cooperative Integrated Reading snd Composition (CIRC) learning model on the reading literacy ability of grade V students of SDN Tanah Kalikedinding II Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in managing inclusive classrooms at SDN Pinang Ranti 05 Pagi. Inclusive classrooms represent an educational approach that accommodates the needs of all students, including students with special needs (SWN), within a single learning environment. The goal of inclusive education is to provide equal learning opportunities for all students, including those with special needs. The learning provided encompasses not only academic aspects but also emotional development and social life. The presence of teachers in implementing inclusive education plays a crucial role in creating a learning-friendly environment for all students. Teacher training and professional development are essential for enhancing their competence in managing inclusive classrooms. This study employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and document analysis methods. The findings indicate that the success of inclusive classroom management heavily depends on teachers' competencies in understanding students' needs, applying inclusive learning strategies, and establishing effective communication with students, parents, and other support staff. Thus, teachers are required not only to possess pedagogical skills but also sensitivity to the diversity of students. This study provides important implications for inclusive education policies in Indonesia, particularly in improving teacher capacity and providing adequate facilities to support the success of inclusive education.

Abstract

In the digital era, ICT advancements have significantly influenced education, enhancing students' learning experiences. This study focuses on developing Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media for fourth-grade Indonesian Language students at SDN Larangan Luar 2, Pamekasan. Using a constructivist approach, it addresses students' low interest and motivation in learning Indonesian and emphasizes the teacher’s role as a facilitator. The Research and Development (RnD) approach follows the ADDIE framework—analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Seventeen students participated in observations and interviews to assess their learning characteristics and needs. Findings indicate that traditional learning methods often render students passive, necessitating innovative teaching strategies. The study introduces an AR-based Virtual Map that merges digital objects with real-world elements to create an interactive learning experience. Validation results confirmed the media’s effectiveness, with high scores from learning design experts (86%), subject matter experts (84%), and instructional material experts (92%). The research highlights AR's potential in increasing students’ interest and motivation in learning Indonesian. It also serves as a reference for educators and developers in designing engaging and interactive teaching methods, ultimately contributing to more effective learning experiences.

Abstract

This investigation of the religious value of nolam manuscripts handwritten in jawi script in the almost extinct oral tradition of the Kampar people aims to bring back the teaching instructions to the public. The analyzed nolam entitled Siti Saripah was found in the Harapan-Harapan Insyaf Abu Yazid Abdullah manuscript in Jumadil Akhir 1370H - 1955M. The main focus analyzed from this nolam manuscript is the five dimensions of religiosity according to Strack and Glock. They are Religious Belief Religious practice, Religious Feeling, Religious Knowledge, and Religious Effect. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach with three data collection techniques including script transfer from jawi writing into Indonesian, then reading while marking and recording good stanzas that contain dimensions of religiosity. The results showed that 58 out of 129 Siti Saripah's nolam stanzas contain religious values. The percentage of religiosity from the belief dimension is 50%, the worship dimension is 18.97%, the practice dimension (recommendation to do noble deeds) is 25.86%, and 5.17% for the dimension of prohibition to do despicable deeds. It can be concluded that the belief dimension is the dimension that occurs most often in life, because both have a lot to do with all daily activities, thus leaving a track record in the memory of the objectors.

Abstract

The use of contextual-based learning media is expected to enhance student engagement in the learning process, especially in English language learning at elementary schools. This research was conducted to analyze the use of contextual-based learning media in English language learning at one of the elementary schools in Bangkalan. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, obtained from the interview, observation, and documentation from teacher and students. The research findings indicate that the school uses learning media in the form of flashcards and PowerPoint in English language subjects. The use of this learning media has been contextual by combining lesson materials with concrete examples in real life. These media are effective in enhancing students’ enthusiasm, engagement, activity, and understanding of English lesson material.

Abstract

Road damage is a significant infrastructural problem that impacts the safety of road users and economic efficiency. The current road damage detection system, which relies on manual inspection, has limitations in speed and accuracy. Therefore, this study proposes the use of a conventional Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the detection and classification of road damage in Surabaya City. The methods applied include data preprocessing and basic data augmentation techniques such as rotation and flipping. The dataset used comes from CV. Wastu Kencana Teknik, consisting of four road damage classes: potholes, surface delamination, cracks, and edge cracks. The implementation of the CNN model with standard configurations shows potential for application in an AI-based road infrastructure monitoring system. The model evaluation was performed using a confusion matrix and ROC-AUC, indicating that the model has stable and accurate classification performance. With these results, the model has the potential to enhance the effectiveness of detection and decision-making in road maintenance.
