Abstract

Education is the door to the modern world, because only through education can socio-cultural changes be carried out, namely developing knowledge, adjusting values and attitudes that support development and mastering various skills in using advanced technology to accelerate the development process. The process of developing all aspects of life is called modernization. One very big difference between education in simple societies and modern societies is the shift away from the need for an individual to learn something on which everyone agrees. Children of the common people went to an expert in their tribe to learn what could be learned about certain activities such as fishing, hunting and setting traps. Modern society educational institutions have a series of supporting indicators that are modern, while in a simple society the form is different, the method of application may be different and the equipment is also different. The direction of socio-cultural change, modernization, or development that a society undergoes in science and technology helps people solve almost all of the problems they face in order to achieve the level of welfare or prosperity that they desire, is the direction that all nations around the world will aim for.

Abstract

Teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students in early childhood education through formal education, basic education, and secondary education (UUN No. 14 2005). The basic competence of teachers in pedagogical, social, personality and professional requires development. Development in line with existing technological and scientific developments. The demand for competency development does not only come from the conditional facts of education but also from the government. The government improves and develops the competencies it has through several regulations and training contained in the Law on Teachers and Lecturers No. 14 of 2005 which explains that the government has implemented educator certification through selected tertiary institutions. Teachers as education facilitators in schools are required to develop their skills or competencies into innovative and creative works. This work which increases student motivation in learning as well as teacherpreneur abilities in teachers due to achievement is a real example of an outstanding teacherpreneur teacher is a real example of a teacherpreneur (Abdillah 2020). The teacher's initial understanding of teacherpreneur has a role in its application. Therefore, it takes an appropriate understanding of the teacherpreneur owned by the teacher.

Abstract

Conducting this research was hampered by the fact that, although Luak Nan Bungsu SLB had learned how to decorate tissue boxes in grade VII, some children lacked the necessary skills and scored below the KKM. This study uses task analysis to discuss how to make it easier for mild mentally retarded children to decorate tissue boxes made from banana stems. By using classroom action research (CAR), this research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of: preparing, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Observation, documentation, and action tests were the methods used to collect data. The EM value in the first cycle of action was 55.88%, and in the second cycle was 88.23%. DT children scored in cycle I, namely 52.94%, and children II, scored in cycle I, namely 85.29 percent. The results were obtained by the children using two cycles of improving their abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to address students' reading skill problems, such as lack of enthusiasm and interest in learning English reading, poor reading comprehension, and failure to achieve learning objectives and minimum literacy standards (KKM). To overcome these problems, this study used Kahoot and Flipbook as an intervention. This research was conducted at SMP N 33 Padang using one class as a sample selected through purposive sampling, namely class 8.7 with 32 students. The method used was pre-experimental with a single group design given a pretest and posttest. The pretest results showed that the average score of the experimental class was only 53.12, while after using Flipbook and Kahoot, the posttest results increased to 77.65. Data analysis using the t-test shows that the t-count value (14.737) is greater than the t-table (1.696), which means there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of students' reading skills. This finding is supported by several previous studies which also show the effectiveness of using Flipbook and Kahoot in increasing students' interest, motivation, engagement, and comprehension in reading learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Flipbook and Kahoot has a significant effect in improving the reading skills of second grade students of SMPN 33 Padang.

Abstract

As an innovative learning media, the Utilization of Digital-Based Interactive Stories in Indonesian Language Lessons has become a necessity in the sophisticated learning process in this digital era. This article discusses the Utilization of Digital-Based Interactive Stories in Indonesian Language Lessons to improve student collaboration. This approach provides a solution to provide meaningful experiences for students with full involvement and student action and expression in Indonesian language lessons through strong visual and audio aspects as well as integrated challenges and rewards. Although digital-based interactive stories offer various benefits to motivate students in learning, their use in the classroom also faces challenges such as technology accessibility and integration into the curriculum. This article aims to explore more deeply the potential, challenges, and practical impacts of the use of digital-based interactive stories in improving the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning in the digital era. By understanding the importance of implementing this technology, comprehensive and in-depth research on this topic is needed to improve the quality of learning

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of stick media in improving critical thinking skills in fourth-grade students on the topic of properties of space figures. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, focusing on how stick media can facilitate students' understanding of geometric concepts and enhance their ability to analyze and evaluate spatial relationships. Data were collected through observations, interviews with teachers and students, and tests measuring critical thinking skills before and after the intervention. The results show that the use of stick media significantly increased students' ability to critically analyze and solve problems related to space figures. This study concludes that stick media is an effective and engaging tool for improving critical thinking skills, especially in mathematics, and provides a concrete learning experience for students to better understand abstract concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing students' character in Pancasila learning for 5th grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 5 Makmur. The PBL model was chosen because this approach provides meaningful learning experiences through contexts that are relevant to students' lives, enabling them to understand and apply norms and rules in everyday life. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, which were then analyzed thematically to identify the impact of PBL on students' character development. The results show that PBL is effective in improving various aspects of students' character, such as responsibility, discipline, teamwork, and empathy. Students demonstrate more positive behavior at school and in their surroundings. Additionally, this model also enhances students' motivation to learn, as they are actively involved in the learning process. However, the implementation of PBL faces several challenges, such as the need for intensive guidance from teachers. To address these challenges, thorough planning and support from the school are necessary. In conclusion, the PBL model can make a significant contribution to students' character formation, especially in understanding and applying Pancasila learning. With further development, PBL can become an effective learning approach in elementary schools.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the problems faced in the use of science learning media, especially material material, at the elementary school level. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method and uses data collection methods such as observation, interviews and documentation studies. The research involved fourth grade teachers from five elementary schools in Bandar Baru District. The results of the research show several main problems, namely: (1) limited number of concrete learning media that can show changes in the shape of objects, (2) little variation in learning media that can show abstract concepts about the characteristics of solid, liquid and gas objects, and (3 ) little use of technology-based learning media to help understanding (4) Teachers' difficulties in developing learning media that suit the characteristics of the material and elementary school students, and (5) The use of learning media is not yet optimal in facilitating active and exploratory learning. Recommendations from this research include: procurement of adequate learning media, training in developing innovative learning media for teachers, as well as optimizing the use of learning media in the science teaching and learning process in elementary schools.
