Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the procedure of reception officers in handling individual check-in guests and the obstacles faced by reception officers in handling individual check-ins so that it can be seen the efforts made by reception officers in handling individual check-in guests. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation with qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. What should be known is the procedure for the reception staff in handling individual check-in guests so that it can be seen the procedures for the reception staff in handling individual check-in guests by presenting the results of interviews, observations and documentation, it can be concluded that the procedures for reception officers are veryinfluential in handling individual check-in guests.

Abstract

This research discusses the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the tourism sector in Canggu, Bali, especially at Theanna Villa & Spa Canggu. This pandemic has caused a drastic drop in tourist visit rates and room occupancy rates in the area. Even the situation is low, Theanna Villa & Spa Canggu chose to continue operating by implementing a different marketing strategy to maintain its business. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy implemented by villa management in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Room occupancy rate data from March 2020 to August 2022 is used to see changes in room occupancy rates over that period. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. The research showed that Theanna Villa & Spa Canggu applies a marketing mix by compiling a marketing mix to deal with the Covid - 19 pandemic in order to increase room occupancy rates. The results of this study explain that there are obstacles faced by Theanna Villa & Spa Canggu in marketing their products during the Covid - 19 pandemic.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of work discipline and motivation on employee performance during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu Hotel. The research data was collected through questionnaires, the number of samples used was 46 people from the total population. The data obtained were tested first with validity test, reliability test and classical assumption test. After that the data were analyzed by multiple linear regression, T test and F test using the SPSS (Statistical Package for Sosial Science) version 25 for Windows program. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that: (1) Workforce Discipline (X1) partially has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Eastin Ashta Resort Hotel Canggu Bali. This is evidenced by the value of t-count = 4.514 > t-table = 2.017 and the value of Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 (α). (2) Motivation (X2) partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance during the covid-19 pandemic at the Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu Bali. This is evidenced by the value of t-count = 2.505 > t-table = 2.017 and the value of Sig. 0.016 < 0.05 (α). (3) Work Discipline (X1) and Motivation (X2) simultaneously affect employee performance during the covid-19 pandemic at the Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu Bali. This is evidenced by the value of f-count = 20.916 > f-table = 3.23 and the value of Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 (α).

Abstract

he Ubud Tourism Area is a prominent tourist destination located within the Gianyar Regency. The Ubud Tourism Area encompasses the geographical regions of Ubud District, Tegallalang District, and Payangan District. The present investigation employs a qualitative descriptive methodology and subsequent analysis. The utilized data comprises both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data pertains to narrative descriptions of tourist attractions, while quantitative data pertains to numerical information such as the area and distance traveled to reach these attractions. The study utilized primary and secondary data as its sources of information. The methodology employed in this study involves the collection of data through the means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The present study elucidates the categorization of tourist attractions in the Ubud Tourism Area into three distinct types, namely natural, cultural, and artificial tourist attractions. The Ubud Tourism Area encompasses several natural tourist attractions, namely the Padang Tegal, Ceking, Ayung River, and Campuhan Hill Monkey Forests. The Ubud Tourism Area encompasses a range of cultural tourist attractions, such as Puri Saren Ubud, the Painting Museum, and the Arma Museum. Alas Harum Agrotourism is a man-made tourist destination located in the Ubud Tourism Area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style and communication on employee performance through employee work motivation in the employees of Jimbarwarna Hotel, located in Jembrana, Bali. The research sample consists of all employees, who serve as primary data sources. Data collection involves distributing questionnaires to all employees and conducting direct observations at the research site to gather additional necessary data.The collected data is then subjected to tabulation and undergoes various tests and analyses. These include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests (such as multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, normality tests, and linearity tests), simple regression analysis, hypothesis testing using path analysis, and the Sobel test.The analysis conducted reveals that leadership style, through work motivation, has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Similarly, communication, through work motivation, also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Additionally, work motivation itself has a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

This research discusses enjoying tourist attractions with virtual tourism in Sulangai Village, Bali, especially at Goa Gong waterfall tourist attraction. In the situation of a tourist attraction that is classified as a new category, the Sulangai Village Government chooses virtual tourism as a 4.0 promotional media to increase the number of domestic and foreign tourist arrivals. Tourist visit data from January to July 2022 was used to see changes in the number of tourist arrivals during that period. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data collection was carried out by interview, observation and documentation. The study found out conclusions such as (a). There are tourist attractions, tourist facilities, accessibility, and additional tourist services that are quite adequate, (b). Processing of 360o virtual tour website applications uploaded to a free domain website called wix.com. However, the limitations in this study are (a). There is lack budget for making a 360o virtual tour, (b). Human resources in the IT department of the Sulangai Village Government have not fully mastered the making of 360o virtual tours, and (c). The attractions provided by this object are not enough for 360o video shooting. With this research, it is hoped that virtual tourism can provide a more pleasant and attractive appearance for potential tourists so that it can promote this tourist attraction even further

Abstract

This research aims to develop a strategy for developing educational tourism in Hatten Wine. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with interview, observation, documentation and discussion group forum (FGD) methods. The results of this research show several attractions and facilities such as vineyards, wineries and wine cellars. The main facilities that other producers do not have are the oak barrel room and sparkling room, which are the only ones in Indonesia. and there is a Hatten education center as an official institution for certified wine training. For tourist activities that can be done in Hatten, such as seeing the wine making process, how to grow grapes as a basic ingredient for making wine, wine knowledge, wine serving and wine pairing. Various efforts have been made to increase tourist visits, such as creating wine class programs, international certification and wine events. However, development strategies are still needed to increase visits, such as: Creating a wine tourism program and collaborating with travel agents and tour operators in promoting educational tourism programs and also completing tourist facilities such as the new winery that Hatten plans to build which is more spacious and complete.

Abstract

The tourist attraction of Tukad Bindu was originally a river that was used as garbage dump by local community, which seemed haunted and dirty. However, because of the concern and participation of the local community, the Bindu River was managed and developed by the Tukad Bindu Foundation to become a tourist attraction. Even though has become a tourist attraction, although there are still many shortcomings with respect to management and development, consequently, this study's goal is to create alternate development strategies that are more effective, so it will able to maintain its existence and become a sustainable tourist attraction as an example for other tourist attraction, to continue to pay attention to environmental sustainability and provide an impact on increasing the community's economy. This study used a method of qualitative description, which was obtained through data collection techniques of observation, interviews, questionnaires and document studies. As well as data analysis techniques, namely analysis techniques using the IFAS-EFAS matrix, IE matrix, SWOT matrix, and QSPM matrix. The results of this research are that Tukad Bindu Tourism Attraction is in quadrant I, namely supporting an aggressive strategy by taking advantage of opportunities and strengths owned by Tukad Bindu Tourism Attraction as much as possible in developing tourism products. Furthermore, based on the QSPM analysis, there are two priority strategies that get the highest STAS, namely the WO1 Strategy 6.21 conducting regular promotions and the SO1 strategy 6.16 creating new tourism activities.

Abstract

This study is aimed at conducting an in-depth analysis of both internal and external factorsthat have an impact on the strategy for overcoming adversity post-pandemic, focusing on theperformance of employees at Hotel Villa Lumbung Seminyak using a SWOT analysis framework. The findings of this research highlight that there are promising opportunities and strengths within Hotel Villa Lumbung Seminyak that can be harnessed to formulate effective strategies for emerging stronger from the challenges posed by the pandemic. However, it is imperative to address certain pressing threats promptly.One immediate concern is related to the compensation packages and promotion structures offered to the employees. Ensuring that the remuneration is competitive and commensurate with industry standards can help in retaining and motivating talented staff. Additionally, providing clear pathways for career advancement can boost morale and enhance performance. Furthermore, the hotel's development plans should be carefully aligned with their workforce's performance. Any changes or expansion initiatives should be carried out in a way that supports and nurtures the capabilities and well-being of the employees. This holistic approach will not only contribute to achieving the hotel's goal of bouncing back from the pandemic's impact but also foster a conducive work environment. In conclusion, the SWOT analysis indicates that Hotel Villa Lumbung Seminyak possesses the potential to devise and implement effective strategies for recovery and growth in the post-pandemic era. By addressing the identified threats and capitalizing on their strengths and opportunities, the hotel can work towards a resilient and prosperous future.

Abstract

Tourist attractions management plays very important role to support the sustainability of a destination. This research aim is to describe the appropriate strategy for management by knowing the internal (strengths & weaknesses) and external (opportunities & threats) factors of the tourist attraction of Leke-Leke Waterfall. This research uses qualitative analysis methods and SWOT analysis to determine strategies that are right on target. Data collection techniques in this research include observation, documentation and interviews with the management of Leke-Leke Waterfall, community leaders and tourists. The research results show that Leke-Leke Waterfall has four management strategies that might be implemented, namely (1) management of natural resources and a sustainable environment, (2) Management of economic sustainability which has an impact on the surrounding community by continuing to provide education to the community, (3) Management of increasing cultural integration by actively developing art that can be presented to tourists. (4) Management of the value of education and learning for the community by increasing human resources in tourism management including the preparation of competent and certified tour guides.
