Abstract

ABSTRACT   Bali is always trying to improve itself in aspects of tourism especially in accommodation and services. In terms of service to tourists, communication is one of the most decisive factors. It encourages workers in tourism sector to have good communication skills, especially communication in English. This phenomenon requires the graduates in education and training institutions of hospitality and tourism to have good communication skills, especially communication in English. In this study, the student of STIPAR Triatma Jaya majoring in Hotel Acomodation Management was raised as an object of research. The analysis in this study was made to answer the following questions: (1) the problems were faced by students in speaking English in terms of pronunciation (phonology), and (2) to find some factors in hibiting students in learning to speak. Aim of this study is to improve learning quality of English speaking ability. Primary data and secondary data were used as the data source. Data collection was taken by doing observation in research location, and descriptive qualitative technique was used to analyse the data.  This research showed that students majoring in the Hotel Acomodation Management experienced problems during the lesson especially in communicate English pronounciation, it is still influenced by the magnitude ofthe first language or mother tongue. Some factors have limited the students in speaking English, those factors are: components of linguistic mastery, and mastery of the content component, and environmental conditions during the learning process for example, the conditions where there was a little open space in the class room resulting the inclusion of sounds that interfere the process of learning. Abstract

This study entitled Positioning the Development of Tourism Attraction in Tabanan Regency as a Creative and Sustainable Destination, has a background whereas the tourism potential was not touched well in Tabanan Bali in order to be developed into a creative and sustainable tourism destination.This study aims at positioning various tourism attractions existing in tourism destinations in Tabanan therefore each tourisms will examine their own potential, weakness and also competitive profit by developing research model through Multidimensional Scaling (MDS)and Analysis Correspondence (ANACOR) technique using 39 attributes and 22 tourism destinations attractions. Sample in this study usedpurposive and quota sampling technique which consists of foreign tourists, domestic tourists, travel agents, tourism entrepreneurs, the government and academics about 480 people to be asked their perceptions towardpositioning competitive tourism attractions in Tabanan, Bali. Therefore, it can be known the position of each competitive tourisms attraction which are exist in Tabanan, Bali. The instrumentswhich were used,have validity and reliability, where all of the questionnaires with the value of alpha cronbach were over 0.6 (reliable) with the value of acorected item total corelation were over 0.3 (valid). The results of MDS analysis showed that stress coefficients was 0,13462 (13,46%) with RSQ coefficient was 0,89532. The alignment of a model (Delivered Subject Weights) dan scatterplot of linier fit showed the similarity of respondents’ responses towards the objects which were examined. Therefore, tourism attraction in the respondents’ mind were clustered into five groups(i) beach (ii) hot spring, (iii) tourism art and culture, (iv) natural attraction and (v) conservation. The results of ANACORR showed the atributes owned by each tourism attractions which can be classified into four, they are (i) entertainment, (ii) main culture and history (iii) architecture and (iv) scenery. These groups will help the government to develop tourism in Tabanan by regarding the creative potential in the concept of sustainability.The limitation of this study was at too many objects and attributes which had been examined therefore it needed long time. Further research heads for the strategy of developing each group of tourism attraction which has been obtained in this study

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the tourism industry. The very high decrease in the number of tourist visits has caused many businesses in the tourism sector to close their businesses, including tourist villages. As one of the tourist villages in Bali, the Penglipuran Tourism Village is also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The management of Penglipuran Tourism Village has implemented the Green Economy concept. Where the application of the Green Economy concept can be seen from the tourism products offered are environmentally friendly products such as traditional houses that still utilize natural materials (bamboo trees), the souvenirs offered are processed products from agricultural and plantation products. The natural condition and clean and natural village environment is also a form of implementing the Green Economy concept which aims to preserve the environment. In its management, Penglipuran Tourism Village has involved the community starting from the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. It can be seen that pokdarwisa as a management institution is an institution established by the traditional village and the department where its members come from

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the existing tourist attractions in Sindhu Beach, starting from the internal aspects (strengths and weaknesses) and external aspects (opportunities and threats) and then formulates directions for optimizing the attractiveness of eco-marine tourism in an appropriate planning and strategy for Sindhu Beach to be an alternative to artificial nature tourism in Sanur Village. The method used is qualitative observational technic with SWOT Analysis to find out relevant strategies. From the analysis it can be seen that the general condition such as attractions, amenities, accessibility and additional services at Sindhu Beach.Eco Bahari is not well-developed yet. But the potency is still open wide to be eco-marine tourism spot based on internal and external factor especially the attraction side. Then the strategies that might be applied are (1) attractions optimalisation with turtle preservation nearby to educate visitors of environmental caring, (2) sharing information to local community about the eco-marine potency to add more beach value for people around, and (3) promote the beauty of Sindhu beach in social media so everybody know it well and attract them to visit it then

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation and perceptions of tourists visiting the tourist attraction of Penimbangan Beach in Buleleng Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. In this study, data collection was carried out by observation, interviews with resource persons, and distributing questionnaires to 55 tourists using incidental sampling technique in which 31 statements down. The questionnaire given consists of thirteen statements regarding tourist motivation which refers to the theory of push and pull motivation. These push factors and pull factors are actually internal and external factors that motivate tourists to make decisions to travel, as well as eighteen statements regarding tourist perceptions that refer to the Tourism Destination Attributes theory (4A), namely attraction, amenities, accessibility and ancillary services. The research found out 2 conclusions, such as (a) aspect of push and pull motivations that get the highest score are because visitors want to do recreation while swimming and to visit modern spot as well as contemporary hangouts. (b) Meanwhile, the perception of tourists on the attributes of tourist destinations (4A) in the tourist attraction of Penimbangan Beach in Buleleng Regency is that Penimbangan Beach is one of the unique tourist attractions, equipped with adequate facilities, very easy access to achieve, but not yet supported by sources of information and organization but still incomplete tourist attraction management.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the gap of previous research results (research gap) and differences in focus of discussion on delegative leadership, communication and work loyalty to employee work productivity. In addition, there is also a research problem regarding the high level of employee absenteeism at Sanglah Hospital Denpasar. This research was conducted at Sanglah General Hospital Denpasar population of 2,878 and a sample size of 144 employees. All data obtained from the distribution of the questionnaire is suitable for use, then analyzed using SPSS 25. The implication of this research is that delegative leadership can be improved by paying attention to indicators of decisions made jointly between leaders and subordinates. Communication can be improved by paying attention to indicators of superior discussions with subordinates. Work loyalty can be improved by paying attention to indicators of obeying the rules. Employee work productivity can be increased by paying attention to indicators of self-confidence.

Abstract

Kelan Beach is one of the tourist attractions that until now has become a tourist location that is crowded with local and foreign tourists. Tourism is an attraction for tourists visiting Kelan Beach. The problem encountered in this research is that there is no accommodation or tourist attraction so that tourism in Kelan Beach has not developed well and the role of stakeholders in tourism development on Kelan Beach has not been carried out in accordance with the main objectives. This problem will be discussed using the SWOT analysis technique. This research is a qualitative research supported by the types of data and data sources, namely qualitative data and quantitative data as well as primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the SWOT analysis technique, namely analyzing internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) with the help of the Internal-External matrix and the SWOT matrix. In implementing the strategy for developing Kelan Beach as a sustainable tourist attraction, it also applies the principles of Green Tourism which lead to environmental preservation. With the condition of Kelan Beach where the environment still tends to be natural, the application of the principles of environmental preservation is a must. Preservation of the environment around Kelan Beach must involve the local community, government, businessmen and visiting tourists. The government, both regional and village governments, is obliged to issue a policy regarding environmental management around Kelan Beach which is based on the principle of preservation. Communities, entrepreneurs and tourists participate in supervising its implementation and are directly involved in preserving the environment around Kelan Beach. This is very important to implement so that tourism on Kelan Beach can be sustainable

Abstract

The village is an Indonesian wealth that has the potential to be developed in the tourism sector in realizing prosperity for all Indonesian people. However, there are still many resources in the village that are not well managed. This study aims to: i) identify tourism potential, ii) formulate strategies based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, iii) formulate a brand loyalty model in Wanagiri Kauh Tabanan Bali Village in developing tourism as a village in the national rural area, iv) compile a village potential development plan towards rural tourism. The method used is quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative method uses Structural Equation Modeling to form a brand loyalty model with antecedents of Brand Image, Brand Awareness, Service Quality, and Customer Satisfaction. The number of samples is 200 tourists who have visited. Meanwhile, the qualitative methods used include SWOT, and in-depth interviews. The results showed that Wanagiri Kauh Village: i) has natural and cultural tourism potential, ii) tourism potential development strategy by presenting uniqueness as the basis for development, iii) brand loyalty model is largely determined by customer satisfaction, brand awareness, service quality and brand image, iv) development planning by managing all resources through the management function by involving the tourism stakeholder Penta helix.
