Abstract

The increasingly serious land subsidence in Semarang City, especially Bandarharjo Village, has become a major concern in environmental conservation efforts and the relocation of the area. From various sources, the main factor causing land subsidence in Bandarharjo Village is excessive use of groundwater. In order to mitigate land subsidence in Bandarharjo, the author conducted community service with a dissemination approach, involving various parties in Bandarharjo to work together in mitigating land subsidence. Community service (PkM) was carried out using mentoring and collaboration methods between the PkM team, the community, and stakeholders in Bandarharjo Village. In this mitigation, the PkM team utilized hologram and webGIS technology. Holograms were used as interactive presentation media during dissemination, visualizing the causes of land subsidence to the impact of land subsidence in the local area while webGIS was used as a medium for mapping groundwater use in Bandarharjo Village. In addition, the PkM team also conducted training in making biopores, which were placed at several points in Bandarharjo. Tree planting is also carried out in order to mitigate land subsidence. From the results of the community service that has been carried out, it has increased the knowledge and skills of the Bandarharjo community in efforts to mitigate land subsidence.

Abstract

The community service aims to develop Wonodadi Village as a children's adventure tourism destination that focuses on community empowerment and preservation of local wisdom. This program is implemented through three main stages, namely: 1) Observation and Analysis of Local Potential: Wonodadi Village has various natural, cultural, and economic potentials that have not been optimized, such as Goa Putri Kencana, Salam Village, bamboo crafts, honey bee farms, and gamelan art. 2) Development of Adventure Education Facilities: an educational tourism concept that combines local village potential. 3) Monitoring and Evaluation of activities. The evaluation results show an increase in public awareness of cultural preservation and management of local potential, the formation of village tourism managers, increased human resource capacity through MSME training, and optimization of cooperation between various parties. Overall, this community service creates a synergy between education, tourism, and entrepreneurship which is expected to increase tourist attractions, support cultural preservation, and improve the economy of the Wonodadi community.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini berfokus pada pendampingan bagi khalayak sasaran untuk menemukan solusi bagi permasalahan pendidikan khususnya di lingkungan sekolah. Pengamatan di lapangan menunjukkan masih kurangnya penggunaan media instruksional oleh para guru. Untuk itu, dipandang perlu untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang efektif. Berdasarkan hasil analisi kebutuhan di sekolah, tim PkM beserta para guru kemudian menciptakan 5 macam media pembelajaran, yakni (1) ular tangga raksasa, (2) calculation ruler (penggaris hitung), (3) vocabulary puzzle, (4) brainy game (lompat kaki tangan), dan (5) media penggenalan angka dan huruf menggunakan tutup botol. Media-media ini bukan hanya bersifat inovatif, kreatif, dan interaktif, namun juga memanfaatkan bahan dan barang bekas yang ada di sekitar lingkungan. Ujicoba pengimplementasian media-media tersebut menunjukkan hasil yang sangat positif baik bagi guru maupun pembelajar. Salah satu catatan penting adalah perlunya mensosialisasikan penggunaan media dan metode pembelajaran yang baru ini kepada orang dan masyarakat desa. Selain untuk memberi pemahaman kepada orangtua tentang model pembelajaran yang non-konvesionl, juga untuk mengajak masyarakat mendukung pengembangan media-media pembelajaran dengan cara menyumbangkan bahna-bahan dan barang mereka ke pihak sekolah. Kegiatan PkM ini mengandung signifikansi yang tinggi karena bukan hanya menyasar aspek pendidikan (peningkatan kualitas pengajaran) namun juga aspek lingkungan (menawarkan solusi daur ulang sampah/barang bekas).

Abstract

This training activity was held with the aim of improving the data processing and analysis skills of young researchers. The activity was carried out online and attended by 69 participants. The results of the questionnaire distribution to the participants showed that 85% of the participants still experienced problems in the data processing process, where the main problem faced was the lack of understanding of the estimation method and systematics of the data processing process. After the training process was carried out, the participants' understanding increased to 80% and 50% of participants expected a follow-up meeting on the data analysis and processing training agenda.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase awareness of SMK Batik 1 Surakarta students, especially from the Online Business and Marketing Department, regarding the importance of waste management and the application of recycling concepts. The macrame keychain making training using jumbo iced tea glass waste as the main material provides practical skills that are useful for students in processing plastic waste into environmentally friendly craft products. This training also supports students' entrepreneurial potential and introduces the principle of recycling in a practical context. Thus, this activity not only teaches new skills but also introduces environmentally friendly concepts in the world of education, which are expected to be applied more widely in society. This activity includes steps for cleaning glasses, cutting, assembling, weaving, and finishing products. The results of the questionnaire before and after the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of macrame techniques and the use of plastic waste, with all participants claiming to understand more after the training and being able to produce useful keychain products. Suggestions for the next activity include adding training materials, improving tool facilities, and collaborating with external parties for the application of skills in the real world.

Abstract

The community service program aims to improve the understanding of teachers and guardians or parents regarding monitoring growth and development and the concept of play to improve and support the growth and development process in children. By providing education on the concept of play in supporting growth and development in children, it is hoped that the child's growth and development will be good and in accordance with the child's age level. This is also a form of prevention of growth and development disorders in children. The community service team conducted a survey and continued with submitting a permit letter to the Kindergarten and providing invitations to teachers and guardians of children. The activity was continued by providing education which ended with an evaluation of the community service activities. Assistance was carried out by the community service team in play therapy given to children who were divided into 4 groups. The children were very enthusiastic in participating in the activity with various types of games in the form of puzzles, coloring paper with colored sand. The results of this community service show an increase in understanding from teachers and parents or guardians regarding growth and development and the types of games that can support the growth and development process in children. This is supported by a positive response from parents' answers and the enthusiasm of teachers and parents or guardians in participating in the service event until the end.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by students at the high school/vocational high school level is confusion in choosing higher education. This is because they do not yet have an idea of the field of science and job prospects of the science that will be taken in higher education. Choosing the right study program will determine the direction of your future career, so it is necessary to introduce one of the fields of science that will be studied at the higher education level, one of which is through supply chain management. The purpose of implementing community service activities is to introduce the cluster of sciences in Industrial Engineering so that it becomes a reference for students in determining their career direction according to their interests and ideals. This community service activity was carried out using the simulation and game method with Beer Game. This activity began with a pretest, continued with a simulation, and closed with a posttest. The results of this activity showed that students had understood the basic concepts of supply chain management well. In the future, direct field activities will likely be carried out so that students' understanding of this matter becomes deeper.

Abstract

This article presents a community engagement-based research initiative aimed at enhancing numeracy competence among senior high school teachers in Indonesia through a cybernetic pedagogy framework. Conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Nguter, the program combined theoretical workshops, digital tool integration, and cross-disciplinary lesson design to empower teachers in embedding numeracy across various subjects. A mixed-methods approach—comprising pre- and post-tests, structured mentoring, classroom observations, and reflective journals—revealed significant improvements in teachers' conceptual understanding, pedagogical confidence, and instructional practices. The findings demonstrate that cybernetic-based teaching fosters interactive, data-driven learning environments and supports numeracy as a transversal 21st-century skill. This study contributes empirical insights into scalable, cross-national professional development models that can be adapted in resource-constrained educational contexts
