Abstract

This research seeks to explore and evaluate the impact of self-efficacy, competence, and flexible workspaces on the performance of employees, with a focus on job satisfaction, within the Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Deli Serdang. It is an associative research using quantitative data. The study's population includes all ASN staff at the Badan Pusat Statistik in Kab. Deli Serdang, and involves a sample size of 40 individuals working within Flexible Working Spaces (FWS). The purposive sampling technique, which involves selecting samples based on specific criteria or considerations aligned with the study's objectives, was employed. Structural Equation Modeling was utilized for data analysis. Findings reveal that self-efficacy positively and significantly influences employee performance both directly and via job satisfaction. While competence significantly affects job satisfaction, it does not significantly impact employee performance directly or indirectly. Flexible Working Spaces positively and significantly influence job satisfaction but do not have a significant direct impact on performance. Job satisfaction is a crucial intervening variable that bridges the effects of self-efficacy and Flexible Working Spaces on performance. This highlights the essential role of job satisfaction as a mediator in enhancing employee performance, underscoring the need to bolster self-efficacy and offer adaptable work environments as strategic human resource management approaches in governmental settings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and develop a sharia accounting model tailored to the characteristics and needs of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Despite their strategic role in the national economy, many MSMEs face challenges in preparing financial reports that align with sharia principles. Utilizing a systematic literature review of 29 articles from reputable national and international journals, the study identifies prevailing trends, research gaps, and potential solutions in the development of sharia accounting models. The findings highlight the urgent need for integrating sharia principles with financial technology innovations. The proposed model must be practical and accessible for MSMEs, while enhancing operational efficiency, accountability, and compliance including the fulfillment of social obligations such as zakat, infaq, and alms. These results underscore the importance of an integrated sharia accounting model in advancing MSME digital transformation, expanding access to sharia financing, and promoting inclusive and sustainable Islamic economic growth. The study offers valuable theoretical and practical insights for MSME actors, sharia financial institutions, and policymakers.

Abstract

Indonesia's geographical location which supports and increasing crime against narcotics makes border areas very vulnerable to becoming locations for narcotics smuggling and abuse, therefore there is a need for cooperation between countries and international institutions in tackling drug abuse, trafficking and smuggling. UNODC is collaborating with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to reduce the level of narcotics abuse and even eradicate all attempts to smuggle illegal narcotics in the RI-PNG border area through a number of activity programs that have been proposed and mutually agreed upon. The method used in this research uses a qualitative approach. The approach chosen by the authors is also related to the issue or topic that will be discussed by the authors, where the data required requires written, verbal information. The results of this research are expected to provide an overview of cooperation that produces benefits for both parties (win-win solution), the benefits obtained by BNN as a special institution formed directly by the Indonesian government which is helped by the presence of UNODC because it makes it easier and maximizes work effectiveness BNN.

Abstract

Several parties continue to strive to achieve peace in Palestine, especially in Gaza, after the escalation of the conflict between Israel and the Hamas militant group following the events of October 7, 2023. Efforts to reduce the escalation were realized after the parties agreed to a ceasefire that would take effect on January 19, 2025. This study aims to analyze how Radio Elshinta Jakarta reports on the Israel-Hamas conflict, especially regarding the ceasefire that began on January 19, 2025, and how the perspectives of sources in Indonesia help shape the narrative about the ceasefire agreement. The approach used is qualitative, and the Robert N. Entman framing model analysis method is used by examining the content of Radio Elshinta's interview broadcasts with academic and political sources related to the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that took effect on January 19, 2025. The results of the study show that the sources interviewed by Radio Elshinta have a positive view regarding the ceasefire, even though they are not sure it can be implemented with various problems in the field. This study recommends that broadcast media need to continue to prioritize narratives that encourage peaceful resolution by highlighting the important role of the international community objectively. In the context of presenting information on international conflict, the media is advised to present balanced news based on broader contextual analysis.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of elopement, or merariq, as practiced by the Sasak people in Lombok, Indonesia, and analyzes its legal implications from the perspectives of customary law, national marriage law, and Islamic law. While culturally regarded as a traditional form of courtship, merariq often clashes with formal legal standards, particularly when carried out without parental consent, guardian approval, or official registration. The research highlights how such practices can lead to social conflict, loss of legal rights for women and children, and potential violations of criminal and human rights law. Using a normative juridical approach, this study finds that although merariq carries deep cultural significance, it must be harmonized with national and religious legal systems to ensure the protection of individual rights, especially for women and minors.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate patient satisfaction with the use of infectious (disposable) and non-infectious (reusable) tableware in hospital foodservice at RSUD dr. Mohamad Saleh, Probolinggo City. A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving 46 inpatients who met specific inclusion criteria. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and field observations. Quantitative analysis using Likert-scale scoring and Pearson correlation showed higher satisfaction scores for reusable stainless steel tableware, particularly in ergonomic design, food separation, and thermal retention. In contrast, disposable tableware was favored for perceived hygiene but received lower ratings in comfort and durability. The findings highlight the importance of integrating tableware evaluation into hospital service assessments and suggest that reusable tableware offers superior user experience. Improved design and material quality for both types of tableware are recommended to enhance patient satisfaction and support patient-centered care strategies.

Abstract

This research analyzes the visual quality and communicative value of illustrations in Artisan Brand, a book by Handoko Hendroyono. The study focuses on two aspects: (1) the artistic quality of the illustrations' visual form, and (2) the effectiveness of message delivery through these visuals. Using Edmund Burke Feldman's art criticism approach, the research involves description, formal analysis, and interpretation. Six representative illustrations were selected based on visual quality and relevance to the narrative. The results show that the illustrations exhibit a contemporary minimalist style with strong, neutral colors, bold compositions, and meaningful design choices. The visuals effectively convey each brand's identity and align with the spirit of creative entrepreneurship. The illustrations not only enhance the narrative but also communicate philosophical messages about branding, portraying it as both an artistic and expressive process.

Abstract

This study investigates the phonological and semantic transformation of Arabic loanwords in Bahasa Indonesia and their pedagogical implications. Using qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected from the Arabic textbooks for Madrasah Tsanawiyah (grade VII-IX) published by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2020, and supported by documentary analysis.  A total 190 Arabic loanwords were identified, categorized by their phonological and semantic changes. The majority showed phonological adaptation with meaning retention. Finding reveal that loanwords are contextually presented, but lack comparative explanations between original Arabic and Indonesian usage. Pedagogically, this study highlights the need for semantic comparison, scaffolded instructions, and cultural contextualization to enhance vocabulary learning. The integration of Arabic loanwords reflects both linguistic adaptation and identity reinforcement in Islamic education.

Abstract

This study examines the maintenance and utilization of Indonesia's Army Reserve Component (Komcad) within its Total Defense System (Sishankamrata). The research, based on qualitative methodology focusing on document analysis, assesses Komcad's policy, legal foundation, challenges, and opportunities. Findings reveal that effective readiness hinges on recruitment, continuous training, logistics, and civil-military coordination. Significant gaps identified include budget constraints, poor inter-agency coordination, low public awareness, and limited technology use. The study concludes that while Law No. 23/2019 provides a strong legal basis, effective implementation requires comprehensive policies, greater integration into national defense planning, and digital innovation to ensure Komcad's long-term sustainability and effectiveness.
