Abstract

ABSTRACTKasab embroidery is to make a variety of ornaments on plain woven fabrics by attaching gold thread using naturalist motifs and decorative motifs in the form of interconnecting lines. Kasab embroidery products produced by Fitri souvenir home industry in Gampong Garot Cut, Indra Jaya District, Pidie Regency in the form of Sangee, wedding mats and pillowcases. The motifs applied to Fitri souvenir home industry embroidery crafts are Beuleun Motif (Moon Motif), Aneuk Timon Motif (Cucumber Seed Motif), Peudeung Motif (Sword Motif) and Aneuk Reuhung Teungoh Motif (Middle Split Seed Motif). This study raises the issue of aesthetics in Fitri souvenir home industry embroidery using Deni Junaedi's theory by describing aesthetic objects, aesthetic subjects and aesthetic values. The purpose of this study is to determine the aesthetics contained in Fitri souvenir home industry embroidery. The method used in this study is qualitative research method. The techniques used to process this research data are reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis in this study show aesthetics in Fitri souvenir home industry embroidery in Gampong Garot Cut, Indra Jaya District, Pidie Regency consisting of aesthetic objects, aesthetic subjects and aesthetic values. On the aesthetic object describes the forms of kasab embroidery products. On the subject of aesthetics there are artisans and consumers. Furthermore, the aesthetic value of kasab embroidery is found in the point of view of the value of expression through order, namely canons in the form of pakem, harmony in the form of harmony, mimesis in the form of imitation of objects, and masterly in the form of creator creativity.Keywords: kasab embroidery crafts; traditional motif; aestheticsABSTRAK Sulaman kasab adalah membuat ragam hias pada kain tenunan polos dengan cara menempelkan benang emas menggunakan motif naturalis dan motif dekoratif yang berbentuk garis saling menyambung. Produk sulaman kasab yang dihasilkan oleh  home industry Fitri souvenir di gampong Garot Cut Kecamatan Indra Jaya Kabupaten Pidie berupa Sangee, tikar nikah dan sarung bantal. Motif yang diaplikasikan pada kerajinan sulaman kasab home industry Fitri souvenir yaitu Motif Beuleun (Motif Bulan), Motif Aneuk Timon (Motif Biji Mentimun), Motif Peudeung (Motif Pedang) dan Motif Aneuk Reuhung Teungoh (Motif Biji Belah Tengah). Penelitian ini mengangkat permasalahan tentang estetika pada sulaman kasab home industry Fitri souvenir menggunakan teori dari Deni Junaedi dengan mendeskripsikan objek estetis, subjek estetis dan nilai estetis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui estetika yang terdapat pada sulaman kasab home industry Fitri souvenir. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengolah data penelitian ini yaitu mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari analisis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan estetika pada sulaman kasab home industry Fitri souvenir di gampong Garot Cut Kecamatan Indra Jaya Kabupaten Pidie terdiri dari objek estetis, subjek estetis dan nilai estetis. Pada objek estetis memaparkan tentang bentuk-bentuk produk sulaman kasab. pada subjek estetis terdapat para perajin dan konsumen. Selanjutnya nilai estetis pada sulaman kasab terdapat dalam sudut pandang nilai ekspresi melalui order yaitu kanon yang berupa pakem, harmoni yang berupa keselarasan, mimesis yang berupa peniruan terhadap benda, dan masterly yang berupa kreativitas kreator.Kata Kunci: sulaman kasab; motif tradisional; estetika

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe art of decoration is the art of designing, arranging objects, shapes, rooms and other objects with the aim of beautifying and beautifying the visual appearance of the object to be decorated. Relating to the art of decoration, especially the decoration of the aisle. In this era, many wedding receptions were seen as reflection of the culture of society. Changes in wedding decoration design models can characterize changes in modern society’s culture. With the aim of knowing a good form of wedding decoration, to find out the suitability of the application of the layout of the decoration that is used as a decoration element, to find out the arrangement of properties, as well as the color theme used in the elements of the wedding decoration. Observing these conditions the outhor tries to analyze with descriptive analysis methods and interviews with one off the wedding organizers in the city of Medan. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the art decoration camp applies design priciples to decoration works of the several decorations, thera are those who apply all design principles, and there are those who apply only a few principles. The shapes used mostly use geometric shapes, The layout of the décor elements is laid out according to design principles. As well as variations in the form of decoration tailored to the requests of each client. However, many clients also ask for the type of decoration that is already provided by the vendor.Keywords: decoration, aisle, analysis, principle, design ABSTRAK Seni dekorasi adalah seni merancang, menata benda, bentuk, ruangan, dan benda lainnya dengan tujuan mempercantik dan memperindah tampilan visual dari benda yang akan dihias. Berkaitan dengan seni dekorasi, terkhususnya dekorasi pelaminan. Pada era ini resepsi pernikahan banyak dilihat sebagai refleksi kebudayaan masyarakat. Perubahan model desain dekorasi pernikahan dapat mencirikan perubahan dalam kebudayaan masyarakat yang modern. Dengan tujuan mengetahui bentuk dekorasi pernikahan yang baik, untuk mengetahui kesesuaian penerapan tata letak hiasan yang dijadikan sebagai elemen dekorasi,, untuk mengetahui penyusunan properti, serta warna tema yang dipakai pada elemen-elemen dekorasi pernikahan. Mencermati kondisi yang demikian penulis mencoba menganalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif dan wawancara dengan salah satu wedding organizer di kota Medan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditarik kesimpulan bahwa Kemahen Art Decoration menerapkan prinsip-prinsip desain pada karya dekorasi. Dari beberapa dekorasi ada yang menerapkan semua prinsip desain, dan ada yang menerapkan beberapa prinsip saja. Bentuk yang digunakan banyak menggunakan bentuk-bentuk geometris. Tata letak elemen dekorasi ditata dengan prinsip desain. Serta variasi bentuk dekorasi disesuaikan dengan permintaan dari setiap klien. Namun juga banyak klien meminta jenis dekorasi yang sudah ada disediakan vendor. Kata Kunci: dekorasi, pelaminan, analisis, prinsip, desain.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Batee ranup has a variety of shapes and motifs, such as round or round oval shapes that have legs and there are also square shapes in general. Batee ranup has five kinds of forms, namely: Puan, ceurana, karaih, ceureupa, and keurandam. In this study, it used a descriptive qualitative method to describe the shape and function of the batee ranup in the Aceh museumFrom these problems the researcher examines the object of research using descriptive qualitative methods Analysis in data collection was carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation and verification conclusions. Researchers use the theory of from according to Jakob Sumardjo, which is to see the physical from of an object based on the value of artistc materials. The next theory uses Feldman’s theory in the translation of Sp. Gustami, namely the theory of physical function, social function theory, physical function is the creation of an object that can function as a container for placing ranup or other ramp materials.The social function is the function that is created by objects,namely in the form of a bare  ramp container to be used in the traditional life of the Acehnese people in carrying out a tradition. The motifs contained in the batee ranup are: pucok rebong motif (bamboo shoots) boh meuria scale motif (Aceh salak) buya scale motif (crocodile), bungong meulu motif (jasmine flower) bungong tabue motif, (sow flower) puta taloe motif (suluran) , bungong camplie motif, (chili flower) pucok oen paku motif (pucuk aun paku), motif oen paku (nail leaves), bungong jeumpa (cempaka flower),  bungong keupula (cape flower), Bungong gigoe daruet (leaf flower) gayo openwork motif, oen ranup motif (betel leaf).Keywords: batee ranup, shape and functionABSTRAK  Batee ranup adalah wadah yang berbentuk bulat oval maupun persegi pada umumnya yang terbuat dari bahan perak dengan sepuhan emas maupun kuningan dan  mempunyai motif Aceh pada bagian sisi. Batee ranup mempunyai lima macam bentuk yaitu  puan, ceurana, karaih, ceureupa, dan keurandam.  Gedung museum Aceh terletak di wilayah pusat Kota Banda Aceh yang di mana gedung museum Aceh tersebut menyimpan berbagai macam koleksi  benda Aceh  zaman dahulu yang hampir punah di kalangan masyarakat  zaman sekarang.  Museum Aceh tersebut menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini untuk mengkaji bentuk dan fungsi batee ranup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah  metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Analisis dalam pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Peneliti menggunakan teori bentuk menurut Jakob Sumardjo yaitu melihat bentuk fisik sebuah objek dari bentuk batee ranup. Teori selanjutnya menggunakan teori Feldman dalam terjemahan Sp. Gustami yaitu teori fungsi fisik, teori fungsi sosial. Fungsi fisik merupakan ciptaan suatu objek yang dapat berfungsi sebagai wadah untuk meletakkan ranup (sirih) maupun bahan Ranup lainnya. Fungsi sosial yaitu fungsi yang diciptakan benda yaitu berupa wadah batee ranup untuk digunakan dalam kehidupan adat masyarakat Aceh dalam melakukan sebuah tradisi. Motif-motif yang terdapat pada batee ranup yaitu: motif pucok rebong ( pucuk rebung) motif sisik boh meuria (salak Aceh) motif sisik buya (buaya), motif bungong meulu (bunga melati) motif bungong tabue, (bunga tabur) motif  puta taloe (suluran), motif bungong camplie, (bunga cabe) motif  pucok oen paku (pucuk daun paku), motif oen paku (daun paku), bungong jeumpa (bunga cempaka), bungong keupula (bunga tanjung), bungong gigoe daruet (bunga daun) motif kerawang gayo, motif oen ranup (daun sirih). Kata kunci: batee ranup, bentuk dan fungsi

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article discusses the creation of five graphic artworks that use Arabica coffee as a creative subject. The reason for choosing Arabica coffee as the main subject is because it is extensively cultivated in the Kerinci region. Additionally, Arabica coffee fruits have diverse and attractive shapes and colors, such as light green, dark green, yellow, and red. Arabica coffee is transformed into graphic artworks by combining the techniques of hardboardcut and stencil. A representational form is the approach used in the creation of these artworks. The concepts of distortion and disformation are applied in shaping the artworks. The result of this creation is five graphic artworks titled "Ingak," "Proses," "Bakumpao," "Antae," and "Sabae." Each artwork presents a unique interpretation of Arabica coffee, with emphasis on the aspects of shape and color of the coffee fruits. This creation offers a fresh perspective on Arabica coffee through graphic art and depicts the diversity and visual appeal of Arabica coffee fruits. These graphic artworks can provide a deeper appreciation for Arabica coffee as a creative subject and enrich the understanding of graphic art within the cultural context of coffee.Keywords: arabica coffee, representational, distortion, printmakingABSTRAKArtikel ini membahas penciptaan lima karya seni grafis yang menggunakan kopi arabika sebagai objek kreatif. Alasan pemilihan kopi arabika sebagai objek utama adalah karena kopi arabika banyak dibudidayakan di daerah Kerinci. Selain itu, buah kopi arabika memiliki beragam bentuk dan warna yang menarik, seperti hijau muda, hijau tua, kuning, dan merah. Kopi arabika diwujudkan dalam bentuk karya seni grafis dengan menggabungkan teknik hardboardcut dan stencil. Bentuk representasional merupakan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya ini. Konsep distorsi dan disformasi diterapkan dalam penggarapan bentuk karya. Hasil dari penciptaan ini adalah lima buah karya seni grafis yang diberi judul "Ingak", "Proses", "Bakumpao", "Antae", dan "Sabae". Setiap karya menampilkan interpretasi unik dari objek kopi arabika, dengan penekanan pada aspek bentuk dan warna buah kopi. Penciptaan ini memberikan pandangan baru tentang kopi arabika melalui seni grafis dan menggambarkan keberagaman dan daya tarik visual buah kopi arabika. Karya seni grafis ini dapat memberikan apresiasi yang lebih dalam terhadap kopi arabika sebagai objek kreatif, serta memperkaya pemahaman tentang seni grafis dalam konteks budaya kopi.Kata Kunci: kopi arabika, representasional, distorsi, seni  grafis

Abstract

This article discusses illustrations from the novel "Anak Rantau" by A. Fuadi which is intended as a solution and to minimize the problem of teenagers' reading interest (literacy) and moral crisis using illustration images that are able to motivate teenagers to start reading. By presenting illustrations from the novel "Anak Rantau" by A. Fuadi, teenagers will be interested in understanding the contents of the novel so that the resulting output is moral in accordance with the ethical values taught by the novel. The type of illustration used is digital illustration, as a form of development of digital-based illustration techniques in this era of globalization. The technique used is a manual combination technique which is executed with the help of the Medibang application to digitize it. Pen, waercolour, an oil pastel is a type of pen used for sketching, coloring and final finishing which will be poured on digital paper measuring 40 x 60cm. Based on this discussion, it can be concluded that this work is in the form of illustration as an alternative solution that exists through an approach method with illustration work as a trigger to improve the quality of reading and ends with improving morals in teenagers.

Abstract

Mural art is a work of fine art that is depicted on a large, flat medium, such as the wall or ceiling of a room. Murals first appeared as a means of aspiration during the Indonesian war for independence. At that time, the street walls were covered with various kinds of critical and satirical murals. This research activity was carried out in Gampong Peunayong, Banda Aceh City. This research aims to find out how traders and the local community react and respond to the existence of murals on the walls of Gampong Peunayong buildings. In terms of examining research objects and subjects, researchers use qualitative research methods, which discuss descriptively the entire data obtained during the research. As a supporting tool, researchers used Clive Bell's Form Theory to examine the shapes in the murals in Gampong Peunayong briefly. The research method used is qualitative research. This research aims to find out how the local community that lives around the murals exists and examine information about the murals depicted on the walls of Gampong Peunayoung. Based on the results of research in the form of explanations and responses from the community regarding the existence of murals in Gampong Peunayong, some people accept and are happy with the presence of murals in their environment, especially traders at the Peunayong market. However, some others did not like the visual mural that was presented. The impact of murals on the economic growth of traders at Peunayong Market is also not really felt; whether or not there are murals, traders still have customers.

Abstract

A broken home is defined as a family condition that is not harmonious and does not function like a peaceful and prosperous family, due to frequent disturbances and conflicts that lead to arguments and ultimately divorce. The "broken home" depicted in this artwork is inspired by childhood experiences. Its presence serves as a warning to prevent others from going through the same ordeal. This serves as the foundation for the creation of a two-dimensional painting. The approach employed in this creation is a representational form approach. The medium used is mixed media on canvas, utilizing the placard technique. The creative process involves preparation, design, embodiment, and presentation. This creative process has resulted in the creation of five pieces titled "Strict Parents," "Where is My Home," "Home-Sick," "5 Years Old," and "Traumatic."

Abstract

Implementing Indonesian language learning in elementary schools, educators or teachers certainly have learning models that are suitable to the material to be delivered. This learning model is very important because with the right learning model it will trigger students to be active and creative. The Project Based learning model is a learning model that guides students to increase creativity in learning. The aim of this research is to determine students understanding in learning Indonesian through picture series media to improve the narrative essay writing skills of class IV students in the Indonesian language subject. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and documentation. This results of the research show that the project Based Learning model is very suitable to apply to increase student creativity in learning Indonesian through the media of picture series. It was proven that out of 28 student, 5 student began to develop, 17 student develop according to expectations, 6 student developed very well. The conclusion is that the innovation conduct by Project Based Learning model through the media of pictures series has a great influence on improving narrative essay writing skills in grade IV elementary school students.

Abstract

The author's fascination inspired the creation of this work with the Tungkot Tunggal Panaluan Batak statue, a significant element of Batak culture, notable for its shape, history, and function. This statue portrays seven individuals supporting each other, diminishing in size, set against diverse backgrounds. The research seeks to visualize the form, history, and applicability of the Tungkot Tunggal Panaluan statue from the distant past to the present day, manifesting as paintings accompanied by descriptions of their meanings and the techniques employed in their creation. The author produced 12 paintings in this study using acrylic and oil paints on canvas. These artworks feature human figures and primitive Batak figurative statues, characterized by stylized forms, set against a simple village backdrop that serves as a historical context for Tungkot Tunggal Panaluan. Historically, this statue was employed by leaders in traditional Batak community events. The author combined three techniques—plaque, chiaroscuro, and bravura—to infuse the paintings with dynamic impressions, contrasts, and vitality. Notably, the chiaroscuro technique was employed to balance dark and light, utilizing paint colors derived from raw umber and yellow ocher combined with primary colors to evoke a vintage atmosphere. The outcomes of this research comprise 12 paintings, each titled uniquely, reflecting the author's interpretation of the Tungkot Tunggal Panaluan statue in the realm of fine art. These works offer a profound insight into the statue's form, history, and function, contributing significantly to the author's impact on the evolution of painting.

Abstract

Bungong mata uroe is the name for the sunflower plant by people of Aceh, the represented in the form of a sunflower which has beautiful blooming petals and is bright yellow in color with the meaning of loyalty and beauty making the artist interested in visualizing bungong mata uroe into the interior of the family room.The concept used in the creation of works uses the concept of symbolic expression, namely modern art forms that utilize traditional idioms as the basic elements of the creation. The creation method uses four stages, including the pre-design stages, the design stage, the embodiment stage and the presentation stage.In the creation of this final project, the artist expresses the bungong mata uroe which are applied to interior family room products, including corner table mats, wall hangings, mirrors, pillowcases, table mats and window curtains. This work is used to decorate or decorate family rooms as well as to reintroduce the bungong mata uroe shape with a knitting technique that combines two stitching techniques, namely double stitch and chain stitch.
