Abstract

This wordwall implementation research aims to describe the design of the interactive learning media development process using the Four-D (4D) model on basic spice material. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method to convey the application of the Four D model. The results of this media development received validation from media experts with a very good predicate and validation from material experts with a very good predicate. The results of this learning media development go through a series of stages as follows. 1) Define is the researcher conducting an analysis for information collection, non-cognitive diagnostic assessment analysis, concept analysis and specific objectives and reflection which will later be given to students in small groups, 2) Design is the researcher starting to choose media with the desired format. The chosen learning media is Wordwall, 3) Development is the beginning of the researcher in pouring ideas in the previous stage into the Wordwall learning media, 4) Dissemination is the dissemination stage, this Wordwall learning media is ready to be applied to vocational high school students majoring in culinary. The results of the application of this Four-D model get development results that can be used for learning media for culinary students.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in enhancing learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of vocational high school students in the culinary department, specifically in the subject of Indonesian Cake and Pastry Production (PCKI) on the topic of Indonesian cake classification. The research employed a pre-experimental design with a one group pre-test post-test model, involving 33 students of class XI WU PB at SMKN 1 Buduran, East Java. Data were collected through essay tests and observation questionnaires, analyzed using percentage of learning mastery and critical thinking level qualification techniques. The results showed an increase in classical mastery from 45.4% in the pre-cycle to 60.6% in cycle I and 78.8% in cycle II. Critical thinking skills also improved, with the percentage of students in the "Very Critical" and "Critical" categories increasing by 9% and 6%, respectively, in cycle II. The CRT approach, which integrates local culture, has proven effective in creating meaningful learning, improving learning outcomes, and enhancing critical thinking skills. The PCKI subject is essential for culinary vocational students to prepare them as competent workers capable of preserving and promoting traditional Indonesian cakes in the culinary industry.

Abstract

This qualitative study aims to analyze the implementation of corn seed media as an innovation in learning addition and subtraction arithmetic operations in Class 2 of SD Negeri 02 Sokosari. This study uses a case study approach with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The results of the study indicate that corn seed media is effective in improving students' conceptual understanding, especially for students with kinesthetic learning styles. The learning process goes through three main phases: introduction, operational, and evaluation, with 75% of students showing significant improvement in solving math problems. The findings also reveal that this media acts as a scaffolding that facilitates the transition of understanding from the concrete to the abstract stage, in accordance with Bruner's theory. The main obstacles include time management and classroom cleanliness, while positive responses come from teachers and students who consider this media fun and easy to access. This study recommends further development with the DECO (Discover, Engage, Contextualize, Optimize) approach and the need for school policies that support the use of local resources in learning. The implications of the study emphasize the importance of context-based media to create meaningful mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the BBM (Bekal Buatan Mama) program on the fulfillment of early childhood nutrition at Suka Haji Kindergarten, Cileunyi. The BBM program is an initiative that encourages active participation of parents, especially mothers, in preparing healthy food for children as an effort to increase balanced nutritional intake from an early age. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experiment design, namely a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 30 children as research subjects. Data were collected through direct observation and analysis of daily lunch menus based on balanced nutrition guidelines from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in the quality of children's nutritional intake in the group that participated in the BBM program. This finding suggests that parental involvement in food provision through the BBM program has a positive impact on meeting the nutritional needs of early childhood. It is recommended that similar programs be adopted more widely in early childhood education settings to support optimal growth and child development.

Abstract

The use of handphones in this age of digitalization is increasingly widespread, both as a means of entertainment and as a pretext for learning media. Many parents and teachers use the latest technology to be a tool to help parenting in everyday life. However, it is not uncommon that many still ignore the impact that will be felt by children due to excessive use of cellphones and away from supervision, especially in the aspect of language development. This study aims to explore more deeply the perspectives of parents and teachers regarding the relationship between cellphone use and early childhood speech delay. The research method taken this time is mixed method, namely with quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches with data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed and interviews to several parents and teachers as research subjects. The results showed that most teachers and parents agreed on the impact of cell phone use on children's speech development. The results show that the strongest reason for speech delay is due to the lack of verbal stimulation from the surrounding environment which is now starting to be replaced by cellphones. With this research, it is hoped that it will become a reference for parents and teachers to be wiser in giving children the freedom to use cellphones and be more active in interacting directly so that children's language and social development is more optimal.

Abstract

The phenomenon of using learning media at SD Negeri 1 Sangkaragung shows the challenges in improving the quality of Indonesian language learning, especially related to the effectiveness of the media used. This study aims to analyze the implementation of learning media in improving the quality of Indonesian language learning at the school. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, which involves interviews, observation and documentation as data collection instruments. The research population included Indonesian language teachers, students, as well as the principal and school management. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique, consisting of 5 teachers, 30 students, and the principal. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis, to identify the main themes that emerged from interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that although the learning media used are quite varied, there are challenges in the quality of the media, especially learning videos which are still considered less attractive. In addition, limited facilities and teachers' skills in using learning media also become obstacles. Based on these findings, it is suggested that schools improve facilities and provide training to teachers in order to optimize the use of learning media in improving the quality of Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

The rapid technological changes in the 21st century have influenced how individuals learn, particularly among Generation Z, who have grown up as digital natives. This generation possesses unique characteristics such as dependence on technology, a desire for learning autonomy, and a tendency toward visual and interactive learning. These traits demand a more flexible, adaptive, and personalized educational approach. Personalized learning is considered one method capable of addressing these needs. The aim of this study is to explore the opportunities and challenges of implementing personalized learning for Generation Z. The research employed a qualitative methodology. To achieve this, a qualitative research approach was used, drawing data from various relevant literature sources. The Miles and Huberman model was applied as the data analysis methodology, which includes the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing comprehensive conclusions. The results of the study indicate that personalized learning can enhance student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes through the use of technology such as adaptive learning systems, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, personalized learning fosters the development of 21st-century skills such as independence, digital literacy, and problem-solving. However, challenges such as the digital divide, teacher readiness, and limitations of the national curriculum remain critical issues to be addressed. This study recommends strategies such as integrating technology and providing teacher training as initial steps toward the effective implementation of personalized learning.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era demands that the world of education undergo various transformations, including the way teachers teach and students learn, the use of technology and creative learning approaches, and relevance to the real world. Transformation is accompanied by efforts to prepare human resources who are able to adapt, coexist and synergize with the use of technology. This study aims to identify and analyze learning models based on information and communication technology (ICT) that are relevant in supporting learning in the 5.0 era. The research method used is a literature study of various scientific sources, with a descriptive qualitative approach. Several learning models discussed include blended learning, flipped classroom, project-based learning, online-collaborative learning, game-based learning, and simulation-based learning. Each of these learning models has advantages in forming 21st century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. However, in the implementation in the field, these models still face challenges such as the low level of teachers in implementing the model because they have never received training, limited technological infrastructure, and resistance to change. Therefore, the integration of ICT-based learning models requires the readiness of the education system as a whole to be able to realize effective, adaptive, and relevant learning in the digital era.

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has significantly transformed the structure of the labor market, demanding a workforce equipped with advanced technical and digital skills. Vocational education plays a strategic role in preparing human resources to meet these challenges. However, suburban areas in Indonesia still face various obstacles such as inadequate infrastructure, limited access to technology, and vocational curricula that are often misaligned with local industry needs. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which vocational education in suburban regions addresses the demands of Industry 4.0 and to formulate contextual and inclusive policy approaches. Using a qualitative methodology and literature review, this research finds that revitalizing vocational education in suburban areas requires curriculum reform aligned with local industry needs, enhanced teacher competencies, integration of digital learning technologies, and strengthened partnerships with industry. The study provides policy recommendations based on local needs, positioning vocational education as a driver of local economic development and a key contributor to preparing a future-ready workforce in the digital era.
