Abstract

Low learning motivation is one of the educational problems that affects the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. To overcome this, synergy is needed between the use of technology and the creativity of lecturers so that learning is more optimal. To examine the above problems in more depth, this research applies a quantitative approach through a survey method. The population in this study includes all students from 6 PTN in (NTT), with a sampling method using probability sampling techniques and an incidental approach. Before the regression analysis was carried out, an instrument test was first carried out which showed that all statements were valid, consisting of 10 items for variable X1, 15 items for X2, and 15 items for Y. Furthermore, a multiple linear regression analysis was carried out which began with a prerequisite test, and the results showed that all data met the eligibility requirements. After that, it was continued with multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. Abstract

Qur’anic reading and writing instruction is a fundamental competency that must be mastered by students in integrated Islamic schools. One of the widely implemented approaches is the Yanbu’a Method however, its effectiveness is strongly influenced by teachers’ pedagogical strategies in its implementation. This study aims to examine in depth the pedagogical strategies employed by teachers in applying the Yanbu’a Method in Qur’anic instruction at SMP IT Ar-Rudho, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving Qur’anic teachers, the deputy coordinator of Qur’anic learning, Qur’anic examiners, and the school principal. Data analysis was conducted inductively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Yanbu’a Method at SMP IT Ar-Rudho is carried out systematically and progressively through the mapping of students’ initial abilities, ability-based grouping, guided individual instruction, habituation and repetition of recitation, and tiered evaluation based on the principle of mastery learning. The successful implementation of the method is supported by certified teachers’ competencies, the availability of adequate learning facilities, and well-organized administrative and documentation systems. The main challenges include significant differences in students’ initial abilities, limited practice time outside school, and dense academic activities. This study emphasizes that the effectiveness of the Yanbu’a Method is not solely determined by its instructional design but is highly dependent on teachers’ pedagogical strategies in managing Qur’anic learning in an adaptive and mastery-oriented manner.

Abstract

The development of popular culture and social media has created new beauty standards among teenagers, especially female students, who tend to emphasize physical appearance aspects such as the use of cosmetics as a symbol of self-confidence. This phenomenon also occurs in the environment of SMAN 1 Pacet, where some female students show a dependence on lipstick and facial makeup in school activities, thus potentially shifting the values of modesty, shame (haya'), and morals from an Islamic perspective. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the "Beautiful School Without Lipstick" Movement as an effort to install character education for Muslim women at SMAN 1 Pacet. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, informal interviews, participant reflections, and post-program evaluation. The results show a positive change in the perception of female students regarding the concept of beauty, which is no longer oriented solely on external appearance, but rather on morals, modesty, personal hygiene, and value-based self-confidence. In addition, this program has an impact on reducing the use of lipstick in the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Baamboozle media on the learning motivation of eighth-grade students in the Pancasila and Civic Education (PKn) subject at SMP Negeri 7 Watampone. The background of this study is the low level of students’ learning motivation in PKn learning, which is often perceived as less engaging. To overcome this problem, an interactive game-based learning medium, Baamboozle, was implemented to create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere and to increase students’ learning motivation. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class that used Baamboozle media and a control class that used conventional learning media. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using statistical tests to test the research hypotheses with the assistance of the SPSS program. The results showed that the average learning motivation score of students in the experimental class increased from 55.62 in the pretest to 89.48 in the posttest, while the control class showed an increase from 54.62 to 74.74. The t-test results indicated a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which means there was a significant difference in learning motivation between the experimental and control classes. Therefore, it can be concluded that Baamboozle media has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation in PKn learning.

Abstract

Changes in the Indonesian education curriculum not only represent changes in administrative policy but also reflect a transformation in the educational paradigm influenced by political dynamics, ideology, and pedagogical developments. This article aims to analyze the paradigm shift in Indonesia's national climate from the 1947 Curriculum to the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review method, analyzing curriculum documents, educational policies, and various relevant scientific publications. The study results show that every curriculum change is always closely related to the socio-political context and the needs of society at that time, starting from the strengthening of national identity after independence, the centralization of education during the New Order era, to the demands of globalization and technological progress in the reform era. Paradigmatically, there has been a significant shift from a content oriented curriculum to a curriculum based on competency, character, and independent learning. The Merdeka Curriculum is present as the culmination of this transformation by emphasizing learning flexibility, differentiation, and strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile. Thus, curriculum transformation in Indonesia can be understood as a continuous adaptive process in an effort to align national values, student needs, and the challenges of 21st-century global education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model and to analyze the improvement of students’ learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning at SD GIS Prima Insani. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of an IRE teacher and students of class VI-A. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of PjBL was carried out systematically through the stages of planning, project implementation, monitoring, presentation, and evaluation. The application of PjBL through a picture story (comic) project on the topic of the Prophet Muhammad’s mission and his da’wah strategies in Mecca was able to enhance students’ learning motivation. The improvement in learning motivation was reflected in several indicators, including persistence, interest and attention, active participation, independence, responsibility, goal orientation, and students’ self-confidence. In addition, the improvement in cognitive learning outcomes was positioned as an indirect impact of the increased learning motivation following the implementation of PjBL. Therefore, the Project-Based Learning model can be considered an effective alternative instructional strategy to enhance students’ learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of developing video tutorial learning materials for the Canting Kahuripan Dance. Batik Gedog Tuban is used to design the content and form of the Canting Kahuripan Dance as learning materials packaged through learning videos. The method used in this study is the R&D (Research and Development) method with the 4D development model (Definition, Design, Develop, Distribute) which aims to create or refine new products to solve learning problems. The research subjects were seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Tuban. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The validation results by material experts and media experts showed that the product was feasible to use with a feasibility percentage of 87.5% and 85%, respectively. Teachers' and students' responses to the video tutorial were very positive with a practicality percentage of 88% and 86%, respectively. Student learning outcomes increased significantly from an average pretest of 65 to a posttest of 82. The conclusion of the study shows that the YouTube-based Canting Kahuripan dance tutorial video is effective in improving students' dancing skills and is suitable for use as a learning medium. The results of the study show that the developed teaching material products are in accordance with the contents of the Merdeka curriculum for the Arts and Culture subject in the field of dance in points that contain matters related to improving students' abilities in understanding and practicing traditional dance material.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) examine the implementation of flipbook-based instructional media in Social Studies learning at Amanah Nusantara Junior High School; (2) describe students’ learning interest when using flipbook media in Social Studies instruction; and (3) analyze the effectiveness of flipbook-based learning in enhancing students’ learning interest. The study employed an experimental approach using a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest–posttest design. Data analysis procedures included prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity tests), paired sample t-test, linearity test, and simple linear regression analysis. The findings revealed that the use of flipbook instructional media was effective in improving students’ learning interest, as indicated by a significant increase in mean scores from the pretest (70.37) to the posttest (76.23). Statistical analysis further demonstrated a strong and significant linear relationship between the use of flipbook media and students’ learning interest, with a contribution value of 65% and a strong correlation coefficient (R = 0.806). The paired t-test results confirmed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores, with a calculated t-value of −10.956 exceeding the critical t-value of 2.045 (absolute value), indicating a meaningful effect of flipbook media on students’ learning interest. Moreover, the F-test result (F = 51.939; p = 0.000) indicated that the regression model was statistically feasible for predicting learning interest. Overall, the findings confirm that flipbook-based instructional media exert a significant influence on enhancing students’ learning interest in Social Studies learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze in depth the extracurricular training strategies of Teater Kompas at MAN 1 Nganjuk as an educational model for developing students' literacy, character, and soft skills. This phenomenon is particularly compelling to study due to its ability to harmonize theatrical arts within a formal religious-based educational environment. The research methodology employed is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews with the theater coach and members, and documentation of activity portfolios. The results indicate that Teater Kompas implements systematic training strategies by adapting the management styles and training techniques of Teater Gandrik and various national theater figures. The training process integrates physical, vocal, and emotional exercises while ensuring the theatrical practices remain compliant with applicable religious regulations. Managerially, the organization demonstrates proficient resource and financial management. The impact and achievements are evident in national-level awards and the strategic roles members hold within school organizations such as the OSIS and MPK. Furthermore, this research highlights that the religious constraints inherent in a madrasah-pesantren environment do not serve as barriers, but rather as catalysts for creative innovation that shape professional character in students.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) at Sanggar Tari Lintang Patria in Blitar Regency as an effort to develop technical skills and cultural understanding in the field of traditional dance arts. The curriculum is designed to integrate dance techniques with local cultural values, thereby producing a younger generation with strong artistic skills and cultural identity. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation methods to explore the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum. The findings show that the implementation of CBC in the studio has made significant progress in mastering dance techniques, artistic expression, and cultural understanding. However, challenges faced include the need to adapt the curriculum to the times without losing its traditional essence. Internal and external evaluations indicate that the curriculum is quite effective, although there is a need to introduce contemporary dance and variations in teaching methods. The study also suggests the development of a more varied curriculum to accommodate the evolution of the arts and the broader needs of society. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of dance curricula in other non-formal art studios in the effort to preserve local culture and meet the demands of the ever-evolving art world.
