Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in economics are influenced by various factors that play a role in both encouraging and improving academic achievement. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of these factors on students’ learning outcomes. The study involved a population of 300 tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 6 Kupang, with a sample of 100 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research instrument consisted of 20 statements covering the variables of family environment and self-efficacy, all of which were declared valid and reliable. The results of multiple linear regression analysis indicate that the family environment and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. These findings emphasize the importance of a supportive family environment and strong self-efficacy in improving students’ academic achievement. Therefore, this study recommends collaboration between schools and parents in creating a harmonious learning environment, as well as strengthening students’ self-regulation skills through guidance, extracurricular activities, and continuous mentoring.

Abstract

The availability of adequate educational facilities and infrastructure (sapras) is the main foundation for creating a conducive learning environment in elementary schools. However, the reality in the field often shows a significant disparity with the ideal conditions expected. This study aims to explore the implementation of sapras and its implications for student learning comfort. Through a qualitative research design, data was collected through participatory observation, document review, and in-depth interviews with 16 informants, including school principals, teachers, staff, and school committees. The data were analyzed thematically through coding, categorization, and validity testing using triangulation. The findings confirm that there is a gap in the quality of facilities, particularly in terms of furniture, ventilation, and supporting facilities, which directly impacts students' physical and psychological comfort. The analysis results show that the provision of adequate facilities has a significant positive impact: creating more active and enjoyable learning, deepening understanding of the material (cognitive aspect), and increasing student motivation and enthusiasm for learning (psychological aspect

Abstract

The phenomenon of adolescent moral decline and the crisis of children's adab toward parents in the digital era highlights the urgency of extracting character education values from authoritative Islamic sources. This study aims to analyze the concept of walid in the Qur'an and its pedagogical values through the lens of Al-Qurthubi's Tafsir as a foundation for children's character education in their relationship with parents. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research and content analysis, conducted through four systematic procedures: (1) collection of Qur'anic verses, (2) contextual categorization, (3) inference through Tafsir Al-Qurthubi, and (4) drawing pedagogical conclusions. The findings reveal three key results. First, the Qur'an employs twelve variant forms of the word walid, reflecting the depth of the parent-child relational dimension in Islam. Second, the word walid appears in seven distinct contexts encompassing commands to honor parents, rights and obligations, stories of the Prophets, the story of Luqman, bequests and inheritance, supplications, and divine oaths each corresponding to a specific character education goal. Third, Al-Qurthubi's Tafsir identifies five primary ways to preserve parents' honor filial piety and kindness, gentle speech, refraining from harm, supplication, and protecting their good name which pedagogically represent strategies of habituation and modelling in children's character formation. This study contributes to the development of Islamic Education by offering an integrative model between classical tafsir and contemporary character education theory, while providing practical implications for Muslim educators and parents in designing Qur'an-based moral education.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education has encouraged the widespread implementation of online learning; however, its practice still faces several challenges, including limited learning interaction, a lack of flexibility in learning models, insufficient teacher digital competencies, and suboptimal technology-based academic supervision. These conditions require an effective and sustainable digital learning model. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of synchronous and asynchronous online learning and to examine the role of online supervision in improving learning quality. The study employed a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design. Data were collected from various academic databases and analyzed through data reduction, categorization, comparison, and synthesis techniques. The findings indicate that synchronous learning is more effective in enhancing interaction, motivation, and student engagement through direct communication and immediate feedback. Meanwhile, asynchronous learning is superior in providing time flexibility, repeated access to learning materials, and fostering independent learning. In addition, online supervision plays an important role in maintaining learning quality through monitoring, evaluation, mentoring, and improving teachers’ competencies. The integration of synchronous learning, asynchronous learning, and online supervision is the most relevant approach to creating an effective, adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable digital learning system.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the Hangman game in teaching Arabic vocabulary to fourth-grade students at Istiqomah Lembang Elementary School. Using a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design with a control group, the experimental class received Hangman-based instruction, while the control group received conventional instruction. Statistical analysis revealed that the data were not normally distributed but homogeneous; therefore, non-parametric tests were applied. The Wilcoxon test results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental class (p = 0.007), while the Mann-Whitney test showed no significant difference between groups (p = 0.166). The average N-Gain of the experimental class was 0.4783 (moderate category), while the control class was -0.0056 (low category). These findings indicate that although the Hangman game can increase students' motivation, interest, and engagement, its effectiveness in improving vocabulary mastery remains moderate. Factors such as implementation time, classroom atmosphere, and student readiness also influence the results. This study recommends the development of a more structured and adaptive game-based learning model to improve Arabic vocabulary learning outcomes at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Increasingly complex environmental issues require effective environmental education from an early age so that children develop sustainable habits and awareness. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the SITAKORA (Simulation of Environmentally Friendly Waste Management) edugame based on Virtual Reality (VR), which is designed using Lev Vygotsky's play theory approach to increase environmental awareness among elementary school students. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the needs analysis revealed that students' behavior in disposing of and managing waste was still inconsistent even though their conceptual understanding was adequate. The development process resulted in the SITAKORA VR-based edugame, which was validated by experts with a feasibility score of 89.5%, indicating a highly feasible category. Implementation was carried out at Mulyoagung Elementary School, Bojonegoro, and the evaluation results showed a significant increase in students' environmental awareness scores after using the edugame. The integration of Vygotsky's play theory in the design of VR activities enabled scaffolding and learning interactions that encouraged meaningful play experiences. Thus, the VR-based SITAKORA edugame proved to be effective, engaging, and innovative in increasing environmental awareness and behavior among elementary school children.

Abstract

The era of digital disruption presents serious challenges to religious moderation, particularly through the massive flow of religious information, the weakening of scholarly authority, and the growing tendency toward instant and partial religious understanding. These conditions contribute to the rise of rigid, intolerant, and extremism-prone religious attitudes, thereby necessitating a philosophical foundation of Islamic education capable of shaping rational and contextual religious thinking. This study focuses on the philosophy of Islamic education developed by Ibn Khaldun and its relevance in strengthening the values of religious moderation in the era of disruption. This research aims to analyze Ibn Khaldun’s philosophy of Islamic education, examine religious moderation from the perspective of Islamic education, and explain the relevance of Ibn Khaldun’s educational thought in reinforcing the values of religious moderation amid the challenges of the disruptive era. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data are obtained from primary sources, namely Ibn Khaldun’s Muqaddimah, and secondary sources consisting of relevant scholarly books and journal articles, which are analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that Ibn Khaldun’s educational thought through its emphasis on the development of reason, the principle of gradual learning (tadarruj), and the rejection of repressive educational practices has strategic relevance in constructing a humanistic, critical, and moderate Islamic education. The integration of this thought can serve as an epistemological and pedagogical foundation for strengthening religious moderation, making it more adaptive to social dynamics and the challenges of the era of disruption.

Abstract

Empathetic attitude is an important part of students' social-emotional development that needs to be cultivated from the elementary education level, particularly at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. However, the habituation of empathy values through environment-based school programs has rarely been studied in depth. This research aims to describe the characteristics of the Adiwiyata Program implementation, examine the process of forming students' empathetic attitudes through the program, and analyze the impacts and obstacles that arise in its implementation at MI Assunniyyah 45 Paseban. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation. Research subjects were selected using purposive sampling technique, including the madrasah principal, teachers, and students directly involved in the Adiwiyata Program. The results show that the Adiwiyata Program not only functions as an environmental program, but also as a vehicle for shaping students' empathetic attitudes through routine habituation, teacher role modeling, active student involvement, and positive reinforcement. Its impact is evident in changes in students' social behavior, becoming more caring, cooperative, and responsible, although the consistency of empathetic attitudes outside of school supervision remains a challenge that requires continuous reinforcement between schools and families.

Abstract

 This study aims to describe and analyze the strategies implemented by the Sekolah Adat Pesinauan in preserving the customs and culture of the Osing community in Olehsari Village, Glagah Subdistrict, Banyuwangi District. The background of this research stems from concerns about the erosion of local cultural values due to the strong influence of modernization and globalization. The research method employed is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with school administrators, community leaders, and documentation of culture-based learning activities. The results show that Sekolah Adat Pesinauan plays a strategic role in preserving Osing culture through various programs such as Osing language learning, traditional arts (such as gandrung, barong, and hadrah kuno), and the strengthening of customary values in daily life. The strategies include the integration of culture-based education, community empowerment, and collaboration with formal educational institutions. These efforts have successfully fostered youth awareness of the importance of preserving local cultural heritage. In conclusion, Sekolah Adat Pesinauan serves as an effective model for community-based cultural preservation in the modern era.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Android-based deep learning in dance education at Army Dance Production (ADP) Studio in Surabaya, Indonesia, and investigates the extent to which this technological approach can enhance the quality of learning and student engagement. The primary focus lies in leveraging Android devices as tools for recording, documenting, and replaying dance movements, thereby serving as a medium for evaluation and self-directed reflection among dancers. Through systematic visual documentation, trainees are able to observe movement deficiencies, refine techniques, and improve both expression and ensemble cohesion, either independently or under instructor guidance. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research design. Data were collected through structured observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the studio owner, instructors, and visual records of the learning process. Findings reveal that the integration of Android devices as a documentation medium yields a significantly positive impact on practice quality and student engagement. Students, including those with special needs, demonstrated accelerated movement memorization and improved technique correction through video-based self-evaluation. Furthermore, the systematic uploading of practice sessions to social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram proved effective as both a documentation archive and a motivational tool. In conclusion, technology-supported dance learning can serve as a foundational step toward broader digital integration in the performing arts, offering a scalable, accessible, and pedagogically sound model for nonformal arts education institutions.
