Abstract

Road maintenance, as an effort to maintain its performance, plays a crucial role in a road network management system. However, insufficient resources and differences in how stakholders perceive this issue pose challenges in the process of programming road maintenance. This study aims to develop a road maintenance prioritization model based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) for the road network under the authority of the Jambi City Government. The AHP-based weighting is conducted based on a hierarchical decision-making model for road maintenance, which consists of three main criteria: technical road conditions, socio-economic factors, and connectivity, along with their respective sub-criteria. The results of the study show that in the main criterion, road technical conditions weighted the highest of all with a value of 0,65. Followed by connectivity at 0,19 and socio-economic at 0,16. Then regarding the sub-criterion, the highest global weight is road damage level, with a value of 0,28. The model developed in this study is expected to be used as a decision-making support tools to program road maintenance. The multi-criteria assesment which was conducted is expected to evaluate road priority level holistically and provide a new perspective in decision-making.

Abstract

Palembang is a city that often experiences flooding which is detrimental to the community.. Flooding can occur for various reasons, including drainage systems that often do not function properly, a lack of water absorption areas in large cities, and rivers that can no longer accommodate the volume of water during heavy rain. One of the rivers in the city of Palembang, namely the Bendung River, is located in the Kemuning District. The problem with this river is that it has many tributaries contributing to its main flow. The purpose of this research is to analyze hydrology, with rainfall data analyzed using normal distribution, log-normal, log-Pearson III, and Gumbel methods. The results of the research conducted on the Air Bayas River showed the flood discharge values for different return periods: 2-year return period: 9.317 m³/s, 5-year return period: 10.552 m³/s, 10-year return period: 11.364 m³/s, 25-year return period: 12.386 m³/s, 50-year return period: 13.147 m³/s, 100-year return period: 13.910 m³/s. The ideal dimensions of the channel with a depth of 2.35 m and a planned width of 6 m are necessary to accommodate the flood discharge without overflowing.

Abstract

Werkudoro Road in Tegal City is classified as a Class III road functioning as a secondary collector with a design speed of 40 km/h. One of the accident-prone locations along this route is at the Ketiwon Bridge. This study aims to assess the conformity of geometric road elements, specifically the horizontal and vertical alignments, with applicable technical standards, and to analyze their relationship with vehicle speed and driver behavior. A quantitative approach was applied, involving data collection through GNSS-based geometric measurements, vehicle speed surveys, and observations of traffic violations. The analysis revealed that the average operational speed reached 44 km/h, exceeding the designated design speed. The curve radius on the observed segment is 94 meters, which falls below the minimum required standard of 159 meters. Although the vertical gradient of 5.28% and the vertical curve length of 68.90 meters remain within the critical slope limit, the available stopping sight distance is only 82.50 meters—significantly lower than the required 182 meters. Based on these findings, several geometric elements of the road do not comply with existing standards and may compromise traffic safety. Therefore, improvements such as the installation of warning signs, enforcement of speed limits, and enhanced driver education are recommended to mitigate potential risks.

Abstract

Inaccurate cost estimates in building construction projects are often a source of budget overruns that disrupt project efficiency, including in the Sungai Penuh City Government. Several projects, such as the construction of a community health center, PSC building, and health laboratory, show significant deviations between the planned budget and actual costs. This study aims to identify the main factors influencing the accuracy of cost estimates, determine the dominant factors at play, and analyze the combined impact of these factors on the overall quality of cost estimation. The method used is a quantitative approach through the distribution of questionnaires to parties involved in the project, including the Project Implementation Unit (PPK), contractors, consultants, and technical teams. Data analysis was conducted using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS 22. The results of the study revealed three significant main groups of factors, namely estimator competence, information availability, and cost estimation calculation quality. Among the three, estimator competence was the most dominant factor. The research instrument was found to be valid and reliable with KMO values > 0.5 and Cronbach’s Alpha > 0.6. The conclusions of this study emphasize the importance of enhancing estimator capacity through continuous training, providing accurate cost databases, and standardizing estimation procedures. These efforts are expected to promote budget efficiency and improve the overall success of government construction projects.

Abstract

Rivers are one of the water sources that are very important for human survival. The decline in the function of river facilities and infrastructure has a significant impact on the lack of fulfillment of the need for raw water and control of the destructive power of water. Therefore, it is necessary to handle the maintenance of river facilities and infrastructure so that they can function properly, namely by conducting surveys and inventories of river facilities and infrastructure and immediately addressing the causes of the decline in the function of river facilities and infrastructure that occur. The main objective is to determine the physical condition and function of the performance assessment of river facilities and infrastructure and to obtain the ROMNF (Real Operation and Maintenance Needs Figures) needed in the OM (Operation and Maintenance) activities of a river in the future. In preparing the performance assessment and ROMNF of the river, it refers to Guidelines for Organizing Operation and Maintenance Activities for Facilities and River Maintenance, namely Circular Letter of the Director General of Water Resources No. 05/SE/D/2016. The results of the study showed that the Pecangaan River, which is 18,380 km long, has a performance assessment result of 87.97% with recommendations for preventive maintenance. Meanwhile, ROMNF 's requirement for the Pecangaan River in Jepara Regency is IDR 10,342,578,256.00.

Abstract

Coastal protection infrastructure in Jakarta Bay is essential to mitigate flooding due to sea level rise and land subsidence. The use of spun piles with inner boring methods supported by Hydraulic Static Pile Driver (HSPD) technology is intended to ensure efficient and low-impact pile driving operations. However, in practice, productivity discrepancies between theoretical planning and field realization remain a significant issue. This study aims to analyze and compare theoretical productivity (based on contractual planning) with actual field productivity in the installation of spun piles for a coastal safety project in Jakarta Bay Phase 6 Package 4. A descriptive quantitative approach was used, combining direct field observations, time-lapse video analysis, and secondary data from contract documents. Productivity was measured in meters per hour (m/h) and piles per day (piles/day). Deviations between theoretical and actual productivity were identified, and causal factors were analyzed. Theoretical productivity was 3.59 m/h with 3.5 piles/day, while actual field productivity reached only 3.2 m/h with 3.33 piles/day. This discrepancy resulted in an estimated delay of 5 workdays (4.8% deviation). The primary contributing factors were inconsistent hydraulic pressure, environmental constraints, equipment limitations, and varying operator skill levels. The study confirms that real-time monitoring and productivity assessment tools are crucial for timely project delivery. It also highlights the need for adaptive planning and systematic operator training. The findings provide practical guidance for enhancing productivity in future coastal foundation projects using HSPD technology.

Abstract

One of the developments in the world of construction is the variety of structural system configuration types to ensure the strength, stability, efficiency, and safety of buildings. An example of a frequently encountered structural configuration variation is the presence of voids or holes in the floor slab of a building. Floor slabs that have voids affect the structural strength. This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in the size and placement of floor slab voids on the behavior and strength of multi-storey building structures. The results of the analysis are expected to be used as a reference in selecting the size and placement of floor slab voids in building planning. The building structure model analyzed is an 8-storey regular building structure with reinforced concrete materials. The height between floors is 4 meters and the total height of the building is 32 meters. The function of the building is an office located in Semarang City. The earthquake-resistant structural system used is the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK). The floor plan size is 18x18 meters with a span between columns of 6 meters. The variations used are 6 void models with different sizes and placements. Each structural model is analyzed using ETABS software. The analysis results state that the larger the void size, the smaller the structural period, the smaller the inter-floor shear force value, and the smaller the inter-floor drift value. The recommendation for selecting the most effective size variations and void placement is in a structural model where the void is placed in the middle of the structure with the largest void size being 6x6 meters.

Abstract

The Warehouse and Musholla Development Project for the Mainsub Tuban II-IV Area is scheduled to be completed within 18 weeks with a contract value of Rp1,543,013,748.08. The purpose of this study was to determine the cost and time performance and the factors that caused the delay and progress of the project. The method used in this study is the Earned Value method which uses elements of cost and time as well as physical performance of the work. Data obtained from the project include the project Time Schedule, Budget Estimate Plan (RAB), weekly project reports, and actual costs, then cost, schedule, variance, performance index analysis was carried out by explaining the problems that emerged during the study. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the costs incurredare lower than the budgeted costs (costs are more efficient than planned) and the completion of the project is according to schedule, which is 18 weeks. However, there was a delay in progress in the 5th and 6th weeks indicated by the SPI (Schedule Performance Index) values of 0.766 and 0.934, which means that the implementation time is slower than the planned schedule caused by technical problems with the implementation of soil excavation that is not in accordance with the plan. The delay in progress can be pursued by accelerating in the 10th week to the 15th week with quite significant progress. The estimated final cost calculation result of the project is Rp1,492,777,469.16 with a completion time of 18 weeks.
