Abstract

Laser cutting is a precise and efficient manufacturing technology, but process parameters significantly influence the quality of the cut surface. A smooth cut surface is one of the essential criteria in laser metal cutting, especially in the manufacturing industry. The roughness of the cut surface is influenced by several key parameters, including the laser beam focal point, and optimal cutting gas pressure can help clean the surface. This study aims to analyze the effects of process variables on the roughness of the cut surface in laser cutting. Experiments were conducted with a combination of three variables, namely cutting speed, gas pressure, and focal point, on 3 mm mild steel material using the factorial design method. The results showed that the optimal parameter combination for the lowest surface roughness was a cutting speed of 2.3 m/min, a gas pressure of 1.8 bar, and a focal point of 4.3 mm. The cutting speed and gas pressure variables have a significant effect on surface quality, and the interaction between cutting speed and focal point also significantly affects surface roughness.

Abstract

Precision agriculture has emerged as a key solution to address food security challenges, resource efficiency, and agricultural sustainability in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of adopting digital applications in precision agriculture through a systematic literature review using the PRISMA approach. Data were obtained from eight scientific articles published between 2021–2025 and one additional relevant supporting article. The findings indicate that digital applications in precision agriculture provide significant opportunities for improving productivity, optimizing input use, and enhancing information access. However, several challenges persist, including low digital literacy among farmers, limited internet infrastructure in rural areas, high technological investment costs, resistance to adoption, socio-economic disparities, and inadequate policy support. Proposed solutions include the development of user-friendly application interfaces, digital literacy training programs, provision of affordable internet access, subsidized devices, cross-sector collaboration, and evidence-based regulatory policies. This review concludes that inclusive, participatory, and sustainable digital transformation is essential to advance agricultural modernization in Indonesia.

Abstract

Ascitic fluid is an important specimen in diagnostic cytology for detecting malignancy and inflammation within the peritoneal cavity. The accuracy of cytological interpretation depends on cellular morphology, which is influenced by the type and effectiveness of fixation. Fixatives help preserve cellular integrity prior to Hematoxylin–Eosin (HE) staining. Alcohol 96% acts as a coagulative fixative that rapidly denatures proteins, whereas 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin (NBF) is a non-coagulative fixative that forms protein cross-links, providing greater structural stability but requiring longer fixation time. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the morphological quality of ascitic fluid cells fixed with 96% alcohol and 10% NBF on HE-stained cytological preparations to determine the most optimal fixative. A quantitative comparative design with a laboratory-based observational approach was used. Six ascitic fluid specimens were fixed with 96% alcohol for 15 minutes and 10% NBF for 24 hours. Thin smear preparations were stained with HE and assessed for nuclear clarity, cytoplasmic integrity, and staining artifacts using an ordinal score of 1–4. Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). Results showed that 96% alcohol produced clearer nuclear details, sharper cytoplasmic borders, and fewer artifacts than 10% NBF. Although NBF provided stable cellular structures, nuclei appeared darker and cytoplasmic homogeneity decreased due to prolonged fixation. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference (p < 0.05). Thus, 96% alcohol offers superior ascitic cell morphology and serves as an efficient alternative fixative for body fluid cytology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze PT COT's internal factors by identifying its strengths and weaknesses, as well as evaluating its resources and capabilities using a SWOT analysis and the VRIO framework. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative case study approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results indicate that PT COT possesses key strengths in the form of high-quality studios and production equipment, data analytics technology (BICOT), a competent production team, a relevant KOL network, pricing flexibility, content creativity, and strategic partnerships with major brands. However, its weaknesses include limited access to marketplace platforms and low brand awareness. Therefore, the recommended strategy is to strengthen digital marketing to increase brand visibility, expand business partnerships, and continue investing in technology and human resource development. This study confirms that PT COT has a strong internal foundation to compete in the e-commerce live streaming industry, but further optimization is needed to build a sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

The increasing population has resulted in a higher volume of waste at the Galuga landfill, generating leachate that potentially contaminates the surrounding shallow groundwater. Groundwater serves as a crucial source for domestic needs; thus, its contamination poses serious health risks and threatens ecological balance. This study aims to analyze the quality of shallow groundwater around the Galuga landfill and to map its spatial distribution as a foundation for sustainable environmental monitoring and management. The research methods included collecting groundwater samples from seven representative points along the groundwater flow direction, analyzing physical parameters (temperature, pH, turbidity), chemical parameters (Fe, Mn, NO₃⁻, and Cl⁻), and microbiological parameters (E. coli and total coliform), followed by calculating the Water Quality Index (WQI) using the NSF-WQI method. The findings revealed that several parameters, particularly Fe, Mn, E. coli, and total coliform, exceeded the permissible drinking water standards established by the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. The average WQI score of 61.30 indicates a moderate water quality category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the shallow groundwater surrounding the Galuga landfill has been contaminated and is not suitable for direct consumption as drinking water. Consequently, it is recommended to implement more effective leachate management systems and conduct regular groundwater quality monitoring to prevent further contamination and safeguard community health and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Sustainable development is seen as a key tool that has attracted attention from academics, politicians, leaders, and practitioners because of the growing demands from consumers on the environment, organizations, and companies. These entities can use green innovation as a main contribution to sustainable development. This study aims to examine the effect of green innovation as a mediator from green transformational leadership, ethical leadership, green organizational culture, and knowledge management on sustainable performance in construction companies in the Jabodetabek region. Using a quantitative approach and the Partial Least Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis method, this research collects data from respondents working in the construction sector, with a total of 183 participants. The findings show that green innovation significantly mediates the impact of green transformational leadership, green organizational culture, and knowledge management on sustainable performance. However, ethical leadership does not have a significant effect on green innovation. These results highlight the importance of green innovation as a key link between green transformational leadership and green organizational culture with sustainable performance. The practical implications of this study suggest that construction companies need to develop green innovation through leaders who focus on well-planned project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, as well as monitoring cash flow, project financing, and cost control, which are essential for maintaining the company's financial health and project success.

Abstract

Banana plants (Musa spp.) are one of the leading horticultural commodities in Indonesia that have high economic value and play an important role in national food security. However, banana productivity often decreases due to attacks by various diseases such as Sigatoka, Cordana, and Pestalotiopsis infections that can spread quickly. Early detection of these diseases is crucial to prevent greater losses. This study aims to develop a banana plant disease detection system based on digital image processing with the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The research method includes the stages of banana leaf image acquisition, pre-processing using color segmentation, color and texture feature extraction, and disease type classification with the SVM algorithm. The test results show that the developed system is able to recognize banana leaf diseases with an accuracy of 97.8%, precision of 97%, and recall of 98%. These findings prove that the application of digital image processing and the SVM algorithm is effective in detecting banana plant diseases. This system is expected to be a fast, efficient, and accurate diagnostic tool for farmers to increase the productivity and quality of banana harvests.

Abstract

In today's digital era, internet technology plays a vital role in the business sector, enabling companies to grow more rapidly and adapt to market demands. The integration of information technology has transformed business operations, as evidenced by the increasing number of large enterprises adopting such technologies. One of the main advantages is the ability to conduct online transactions, allowing customer to make purchases without queuing and enabling employees to work more efficiently. Consequently, transaction processes become faster and more convenient, while also expanding the company’s customer base and increasing profitability. This study presents the development of an information system using the prototyping methodology. The proposed system is built using PHP programming language and the CodeIgniter framework. The system design includes use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams, and entity relationship diagrams. The implemented information system aims to optimize the purchasing and sales processes at PT. XYZ, enhancing overall business efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making. The final outcome of this research is a web-based application that facilitates and streamlines product sales and purchases within the company.

Abstract

Manual credit limit determination in distributor companies is often subjective and inconsistent, increasing the risk of bad debts. This research aims to design an objective data mining model to support customer credit limit decisions at CV. XYZ. The method used is the Decision Tree with the C4.5 algorithm, applied to 66 historical records of customer payment data. Data analysis was performed by calculating Entropy and Information Gain values to build the decision tree, which was then validated using RapidMiner Studio software. The research successfully built a valid and consistent classification model. The "Piutang" (receivables/transaction volume per invoice) attribute was identified as the main determinant (root node), followed by the "Pembayaran" (payment history) attribute as a branch node. This model generates three interpretable decision rules, including the discovery of a risky pattern where high-volume customers with poor payment histories are associated with large credit limits. The proposed model can be implemented as a decision support tool to standardize credit policies, reduce subjectivity, and minimize the company's financial risk.

Abstract

This study presents the design and implementation of a smart feeder system integrated with real-time water quality monitoring powered by a solar photovoltaic system and based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The system automatically dispenses fish feed and monitors key water quality parameters such as pH, temperature, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). The ESP32 microcontroller was used as the main controller, integrated with multiple sensors and an MQTT-based monitoring application. The entire system is powered by a 30 Wp solar panel and a 12 V battery, enabling autonomous operation in remote areas without grid access. Experimental results show that motor rotation speed significantly affects feed distribution. The optimal feeding performance was achieved at medium motor speed with a feed distance of 8 m, ensuring uniform feed dispersion and low energy consumption (±14.4 W). Water quality parameters remained within the ideal range for freshwater aquaculture: pH 6.6–6.9, temperature 27.5–28.8 °C, and TDS 380–450 ppm. The photovoltaic system generated around 90–110 Wh/day, meeting the system’s daily energy demand (±45 Wh/day). This integrated IoT–solar solution demonstrates high efficiency and sustainability, suitable for rural aquaculture applications.
