Abstract

This study investigates the Umrah worshipping commitment of Middle-Class Muslims, focusing on Religiosity. Data from questionnaires, literature, documents, and secondary sources center on South Sulawesi's middle-class Muslims in Indonesia, with 213 respondents using a Likert scale. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via Smart PLS 4 analyzes the data, revealing a positive and significant correlation between Umrah worshipping intention and commitment. Attitude, Religiosity, Expectation, and Motivation positively influence Umrah worshipping intention. Attitude plays a pivotal role in shaping Umrah worshipping commitment through Intention mediation. Religiosity, Expectation, and Motivation impact Umrah worshipping intention through Attitude mediation. The study underscores religiosity in forming Umrah worshipping commitment via the EMAI Model, highlighting its foundational role. These insights provide a profound understanding of Umrah participation motivators, with strategic implications for sustainable policy and program development. The study contributes significantly to understanding Umrah worshipping intention and commitment determinants, guiding policy planning and community development strategies.

Abstract

A crucial aspect of Islamic banking activities is the existence of contracts, which are agreements that bind the parties in financial transactions. However, in practice, there are legal risks arising from unclear contracts, differences in legal interpretation, and non-compliance with regulations. This risk can have an impact on the operational stability of Islamic banks and reduce public trust. The purpose of this study is to examine the forms of legal risks in Islamic bank contracts and their risk management mitigation strategies. The methodology used is a qualitative approach based on a literature analysis related to Islamic banking regulations, fatwas, and practices in Indonesia. The findings of this study confirm that legal risks can arise due to unclear contracts, violations of sharia principles, and non-compliance with regulations such as DSN-MUI fatwas and OJK regulations. These risks are found in murabahah, mudharabah, musyarakah, ijarah, istisna', and others, including defaults, data misuse, and juridical weaknesses. Recommended mitigation strategies include drafting clear contracts, sharia compliance audits, monitoring contract implementation, and education to customers. With effective legal risk management, Islamic banks can improve operational stability and public trust, while ensuring the sustainability of the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic, inflation, the BI 7-Day Repo Rate (BI7DRR), and Credit Interest Rates on Non-Performing Loans (NPL) at Commercial Banks in Indonesia, both partially and simultaneously. This quantitative research, which explores rare phenomena such as the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and empirical findings that partially reject the hypothesis and the loanable funds theory, offers novelty compared to previous studies. Using secondary data from March 2020 to March 2022 obtained from Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, and the Central Statistics Agency, this study applies multiple regression analysis with SPSS for Windows, employing t-tests, F-tests, and adjusted R² to measure the impact on NPL. The results show that partially, the Covid-19 pandemic and inflation do not affect NPL, while BI7DRR has a negative effect of 0.513% and Credit Interest Rates have a positive effect of 0.367% on NPL. Simultaneously, these four variables influence NPL by 52.2%, suggesting that Ho₅ is accepted and Ha₅ is rejected, which can be attributed to government and central bank fiscal policies as well as commercial bank credit relief programs for debtors. These findings imply the need for synergy among commercial banks, the central bank, and the government to navigate macroeconomic uncertainties through careful BI7DRR adjustments, competitive lending rates, credit restructuring, and stringent debtor evaluation, while encouraging debtors to enhance productivity and make well-informed credit decisions to prevent future NPL surges.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the influence of utilitarian value and hedonic value on consumer loyalty with consumer satisfaction as mediation in consumer coffee shops. A product's utilitarian and hedonic value is significant because it affects consumers until the emergence of brand satisfaction. Utilitarian values such as usability, the function of a product, and the hedonic value of a product, such as luxury pleasure, become the values of a product that affect consumer satisfaction. The analytical methods used to test relationships between variables are Partial Least Squares Analysis, hypothesis testing using the t-test, and moderation testing using the Variance Accounted For method—sample number of 100 coffee shop customers in Indonesia. The finding of this study is that the consumer satisfaction factor can mediate the relationship between utilitarian value, hedonic value, to customer loyalty. This study found that utilitarian factors of value, hedonic value, and consumer satisfaction are determining variables in increasing consumer loyalty in coffee shops. The thing that can be done is to improve the quality of products to be better and different from other cafes, create conditions that are entirely different and not obtained from elsewhere when consumers enjoy coffee, and continue to provide the best service so that consumers will continue to want to consume coffee. Until now, no research has tested consumer satisfaction as a mediation variable in conjunction with utilitarian value variables and hedonic value to customer loyalty to coffee shops in Indonesia

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract The government issued a policy of an electric motorcycle purchase assistance programme through the Minister of Industry Regulation Number 21 of 2023. This policy aims to accelerate the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia to create a sustainable environment. Subsidising the purchase of electric motors can be considered an appropriate policy from an environmental and energy diversification perspective. Economically, such subsidies can encourage the adoption of green technologies and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The type of research used is qualitative research using documentation data collection techniques and then analysed by reducing data, presenting data and then drawing a conclusion. This policy needs continuous monitoring and evaluation is needed to ensure that this policy is in line with the principles of a sustainable economy, including the integration of environmental, social, and economic aspects in decision-making. Are these incentives short-term or can they provide long-term economic sustainability? In further analyses, it is necessary to consider the concept of demand elasticity. The result of this study is that subsidies can increase consumer purchasing power for electric motorbikes, resulting in increased demand. However, the effect may vary depending on the price elasticity of demand. If demand is inelastic, the increase in price due to subsidies may not be proportional to the increase in demand, so this policy has not been fully implemented. Keywords: Implementation, Electric Motorbike Subsidy, Sustainable Environment.
