Abstract

Moringa plants can be found in most tropical and subtropical climates. In some parts of Indonesia, the plant is called kelor or marungga. People need the tree as a source of protein, vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates. The plant contains more than 90 nutrients, antioxidants, and 8 essential amino acids, called the ‘elixir tree’. The problem with this plant is that its leaves are easily damaged when picked. One way to avoid this is to perform a drying process. This Moringa dryer consists of an inner cabinet made of aluminum and an outer side made of zinc. The cabinet measures 40 cm long, 35 cm wide, and 35 cm high, has three shelves arranged horizontally, and each shelf can dry between 100 grams to 200 grams of moringa leaves simultaneously. In addition, it has a heater consisting of two 125-watt heaters and two upper and lower fans. In the first experiment, Moringa leaves were dried for 9 hours at 40°C, yielding 30g of dried leaves from 100g of fresh leaves. The second experiment lasted 6 hours at 50 °C, yielding 30 g of dried leaves from 100 g of fresh leaves. Finally, the leaves were dried for 3 hours at 60°C, yielding 30g of dried leaves from the initial 100g. These results also show a large weight loss at various temperatures and durations. After calculating the percentage of weight loss, it was found that the leaves lost 70% of their weight. Outseal PLC can automatically control the drying process according to the pre-programmed program. Temperature and humidity sensors maintain the nutritional quality and texture of the moringa leaves produced by controlling the dryer environment appropriately. This tool can be used easily by users without requiring high technical skills.

Abstract

Today, maize grows from moisture-stress areas to high rainfall areas and vice versa. The purpose of this study was to improve the productivity, local capacity and linkage among relevant stakeholders. The study was conducted in Yabello district, selected purposively based on the convenience and potentiality of maize production. A total of 18 trial farmers selected purposively. A land size of 0.25ha was used at each site of the trial farmers. All agronomic practices applied. Both quantitative and qualitative data were generated and analyzed using descriptive statistics and narration, respectively. The result revealed that the mean yield of Melkassa-1 was significant (p<0.05) across production years. High demand observed and therefore, it was recommended for further promotion until alternative variety released.

Abstract

One of Indonesia's biggest nutritional challenges is the prevalence of stunting in children. Parents and other caretakers may be to blame for stunting. This research aims to examine the correlation between parenting styles and the prevalence of stunting in toddlers. This study used a cross-sectional technique to analyze correlations. The location of the study was Kepuhkajang Village in the Perak District of the Jombang Regency. There were 33 people that filled out the survey. This sample was selected using a purposive sampling strategy. Ten participants demonstrated effective parenting strategies, whereas twenty-three demonstrated ineffective parenting styles, according to the study's findings. In Kepuhkajang Village, Perak District, Jombang Regency, toddlers aged 24-59 months had a correlation between parenting and stunting incidence, as shown by a p value of 0.02 < α 0.05 in the Fisher Exact test.

Abstract

Facing global problems such as environmental degradation and climate change. Literature analysis shows that the green economy focuses on transformation towards low-carbon development, resource efficiency and population welfare through technology and innovation. Over the past few decades, research on green finance has increased, with many publications demonstrating the importance of green finance in supporting renewable energy projects and climate-resilient urban infrastructure. Despite progress, challenges such as the global economic contraction due to COVID-19 and increasing poverty show the need for a more integrated and sustainable approach in implementing green finance and the green economy

Abstract

The increasing prominence of body display on social media has transformed how women engage with self-presentation and identity construction. This study examines the role of digital platforms, particularly Instagram, in reshaping norms surrounding body image and physical capital. Through 29 in-depth interviews, the research explores how women navigate digital spaces to express their identities, often challenging traditional societal expectations. Social media provides a unique environment where users can both display and reconfigure their physical appearance, empowering women to redefine their self-image. However, the freedom offered by these platforms also introduces challenges, such as heightened body dissatisfaction and mental health concerns, driven by the pressures of online visibility and comparison.

Abstract

The Sugar Factory uses more than 150 pieces of equipment in production process. With so many tools, the possibility of accidents also very large, especially because of the age of mechine and equipment. On July 22 2022, an accident occurred which resulted 1 (one) person dying as a result of being hit by a lifting beam and sugarcane scale due to a broken wire rope. Investigation and analysis of the causes of accidents as well as follow-up actions must be carried out, because the production process must continue. This research aims to analyze accidents that occur based on human factors using Government Regulation and Human Factor Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) approach. Government regulations are used to identify the types of accidents with a major impact on lost work hours and fatalities. Government regulations are used to determine the types of accidents that have a major impact on lost work hours and deaths. Using data from sugar factories and interview results, this study shows that accidents with the greatest impact are caused by lifting equipment. Using the Human Factor And Classification System (HFACS) method to analyze the 6 accidents, the results show that at level 1, the biggest causes of accidents are at the sub-level decision error, skill-based error, perceptual error and routine violation. At level 2, the biggest causes of accidents are at the sub-level technological environment and personal readiness. While at levels 3 and 4, Failed to correct problem and supervisory violation have the largest percentage at level 3 and resource management at level 4. The conclusion shows that there are still various problems from the human factor to implementate occupational safety which could potentially lead to accidents.
