Abstract

Wise use of antibiotics will prevent bacterial growth and reduce prolonged hospitalization. Actions to reduce the impact of antibiotic resistance can be carried out by evaluating antibiotics in terms of quantity and quality, quantitative evaluation using the (DDD) Defined Daily Dose method. The purpose of this study was to determine the general profile of antibiotic use quantitatively in hospitalized patients at a Riau Islands General Hospital in the trauma center ward. This study is observational non-experimental, data was taken retrospectively, from July to September 2023. Data analysis of this study used the quantitative method (ATC) Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical Classification / (DDD) Defined Daily Dose with a sample size of 138 patient medical records that met the inclusion criteria. Based on the results of the study that has been carried out, there are 17 types of antibiotics with a total value of 46,876 DDD / 100 patient days. The three largest antibiotics were ceftriaxone 21,126 DDD/100 patient days, metronidazole 6,790 DDD/100 patient days, and levofloxacin 3,426 DDD/100 patient days. The most common route of administration was intravenous.

Abstract

The aim to this study was to determine the composition of soy flour and tapioca flour in making meatballs on the physical and dietary fiber quality. The materials used in this study were soy flour, tapioca flour, beef, spices. The equipment used was a mill, gas stove, oven, refrigerator, digital scales, carper press, two glass plates with different thicknesses, weights, whatman 41, pH meter, fiber sheath. This study used a ompletely andomized esign (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of R1 = 100% tapioca flour: 0% soy flour; R2 = 85% tapioca flour: 15% soy flour; R3 = 70% tapioca flour: 30% soy flour; R4 = 55% tapioca flour: 45% soy flour. The variables measured consisted of moisture, pH, water binding capacity, and crude fiber and were analyzed using analysis of variance with a completely randomized design in one-way pattern and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test for significant variables. The results showed that the addition of soybean flour up to 45% did not affect the pH value and water content (P>0.05), in meatball products fortified with soybean flour. The addition of soybeans with different levels gave a significant difference (P<0.05) to the water binding capacity value of meatballs and there was an increase in the administration of 30-45%. Likewise, the dietary fiber of beef meatballs, there was an increase along with the addition of soybean flour. Based on the results of the research data and discussion, it can be concluded that 85% tapioca flour added with 15% soybean flour can increase dietary fiber in beef meatball products.

Abstract

Elections (Pemilu) are a critical mechanism in a democratic system, conducted based on the principles of direct, universal, free, secret, honest, and fair voting, as mandated by the 1945 Constitution of Indonesia. Law No. 7 of 2017 regulates electoral campaigns as activities aimed at persuading voters through the vision, mission, and image of election participants. However, in practice, Black Campaigns often occur, particularly on social media, which damage candidates' reputations through the spread of false information or defamation. This study aims to analyze the role of social media in election campaigns and its impact on the increase of Black Campaigns, which often exacerbate political polarization. The methodology used in this study is a normative legal approach, analyzing existing regulations related to election campaigns and the spread of negative content on social media. The findings indicate that although Black Campaigns are not explicitly regulated in the Election Law, they can be addressed through legal interpretation that allows for further regulation. While social media has the potential to strengthen democracy, it also serves as a platform for spreading harmful information. Therefore, stricter regulations, increased digital literacy in society, and more effective law enforcement are necessary to mitigate the negative impacts of Black Campaigns, in order to create more transparent and integrity-based elections.

Abstract

Article 21 paragraph (1) letters b and c and Article 21 paragraph (3) of Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning Trademarks and Geographical Indications provide protection and regulations for well-known brands in Indonesia. According to Article 21 paragraph (1) letter b of the MIG Law, if a brand is conceptually or completely identical to a well-known brand that belongs to another party for products and/or the like, DJHKI must reject the application. According to the explanation of Article 21 paragraph (1) letter b of Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning Geographical Indications, a brand's popularity must be assessed by taking into account the public's general awareness of the brand in the relevant industry as well as its reputation as a well-known brand that has been earned through extensive marketing campaigns, owner investments in multiple countries, and documentation of the brand's registration in multiple countries. If the aforementioned factors are deemed insufficient, the Commercial Court may mandate that an impartial organization carry out a study in order to reach a determination on the level of popularity of the brand that serves as the foundation for the denial. Furthermore, as long as they fulfill specific standards that will be further outlined by government regulation, commodities and/or services that are not of the same kind may also be covered by Article 21 paragraph (1) letter c. Furthermore, paragraph (3) of Article 21 clarifies that a brand cannot be registered based on an application filed by a party acting dishonestly.
