Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differences in fish density and media volume on the growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and to determine the effective density in aquaponic culture using bed media techniques. In this study, parameters were measured including the specific growth rate of fish, feed conversion ratio, water quality and survival rate. The experimental design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments (1 fish stocking ratio/L media bed; 2 fish/L media bed; 3 fish/L media bed; and 4 fish/L media bed). ) and was repeated three times in this study. The results showed that the average length of the final fish was between 6.5 – 9.5 cm, and the average weight of the final fish was in the range of 5 – 17 grams. The optimum density value and the best fish productivity from this study were at P4 with a stocking density of 20 fish per liter of water with significant results.

Abstract

Katekin adalah zat yang dapat menghambat laju disintegrasi bahan organik, atau zat yang biasa disebut sebagai antioksidan alami. Salah satu bahan alam yang dianggap kaya akan antioksidan adalah tanaman mangrove, namun potensi pemanfaatan buah mangrove, khususnya jenis lindur (Bruguierra gymnorrhiza) sebagai agen diversifikasi pangan di Indonesia masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian mengenai potensi buah mangrove ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak katekin daun mangrove (Bruguierra gymnorrhizza) terhadap perkiraan konsentrasi dan aktivitas antioksidan pasta basah dalam penyimpanan. Dalam penelitian ini, bahan yang digunakan seperti tepung tapioka, 97% ekstrak daun mangrove Bruguiera gymnorhiza (catechin), dan air. Alat-alat tersebut antara lain baskom, timbangan digital, roller dan pisau. Penelitian pendahuluan dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu membuat adonan mie tapiokaJenis tes yang digunakan adalah seam test. Kadar lemak, kadar air, kadar protein, kadar abu, karbohidrat, serat. Uji antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH. Studi tentang efek katekin daun bakau (Bruguierra gymnorrhizza) tampaknya memiliki aktivitas langsung dan antioksidan yang signifikan selama penyimpanan, dimana hasil proksimat mie basah dengan penambahan katekin daun mangrove sebagai berikut, kadar air mie mangrove 48,09%, kadar protein 4,48%, kadar lemak 1,6%, kadar karbohidrat 44,71 %, kadar abu 0,16%, kadar serat 5,45% dan aktifitas antioksidan 34,13%.

Abstract

Electrical energy on fishing vessels is an unavoidable energy requirement, the electric source on board is obtained from an electric generator which is generally driven by a diesel engine. Electrical energy on fishing vessel is used for lighting, navigation purposes and assisting fishing activities to loading and unloading. The electric generator on fishing vessel will operate properly and have a long service life if the load applied to the generator does not exceed the load factor limit. Researchers carried out several stages, i.e: identify the electric power distribution system, identify the generator capacity and electrical load received, calculate the electrical load on different operational conditions. In this study, it is also known that the operating efficiency of the generator under four different operational conditions. The results of the research, this fishing vessel uses a radial electrical distribution system; using two units of electric generator with identical specifications, each has a capacity of 225 kVA; the generator operates efficiently in all operational conditions with a load factor of 79.70% to 83.08%.

Abstract

Batu Lubang Village has now become a tourist village, several coastal areas in this village have characteristics that can be an attraction for tourists with all the characteristics, beauty and authenticity of the environment, namely underwater life in the waters, the shape of the beach with beach sand, waterfalls. , caves, etc.), coastal forests which have a rich variety of plants, birds and other animals. This study aims to identify the geomorphological conditions of the Batu Hole Pantai tourist area as a first step to determine the characteristics of the Batu Hole Pantai tourist area, Makbon District, Sorong Regency. This research was conducted in the village of Batu Hole Beach in August-September. Geomorphological parameters discussed include beach type, beach width and length, land cover, beach slope, and water depth. Analysis of the data used is based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The results of the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that the characteristics of Batu Hole tourism have beach types from sandy to rocky, beach width of more than 15 meters, flat beach slope, land cover in the form of open land, mangroves, and near coconut trees, depth of coastal waters including shallow category, and basic substrate. The waters vary from sandy, loam to sandy and rocky.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh formulasi penambahan tepung porang yang terbaik dan nilai mutu yang baik dalam meningkatkan kualitas gel surimi .Perlakuan penelitian dengan penambahan tepung porang 1%, 2%, 5%, 10% dan 15 %. Penelititan ini dilakuan secara eksperimental dengan lima perlakuan, tiga ulangan dan dianalisis dengan statistik ANOVA. Parameter yang diamati adalah kekuatan gel, pH, kadar air, uji gigit dan uji lipat. Hasil uji kualitas gel surimi untuk ikan tuna : nilai kekuatan gel berkisar 1625.15±1.67 - 2818.99±3.63 g.cm, pH 5.9-6.4, kadar air 67.1%-74.5%, uji gigit 2.9-7.3 cm, uji lipat 2.4-4.5. Untuk ikan kakap : nilai kekuatan gel berkisar 791.35±2.43 - 1622.39±1.16 g.cm, pH 5.9-6.4, kadar air 69.8- 76.5, uji gigit 7.2-8.7, uji lipat 3.4-4.6. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung porang 1%, 2%, 5%, 10% dan 15 % dapat meningkatkan kekuatan gel hingga >500 g.cm. Namun, penambahan diatas 1% memberikan warna gelap pada surimi sehingga, penambahan maksimal tepung porang tidak disarankan lebih dari 1%.

Abstract

KM. Airaha 02 is a training vessel owned by the Sorong Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic. This ship is a type of fishing vessel that has a weight of 169 GT, LOA 30.20 m and a width of 6.30 m. KM. Airaha 02 is capable of traveling at a speed of 12.5 knots. KM. Airaha 02 is equipped with long line tuna fishing gear and squid jigging, frozen fish hold, and freezing room. Safety and comfort of crew and passengers on KM. Airaha 02 really needs to be considered for the smooth operation of fishing operations. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the evaluation of the ship's motion when traveling on random waves in order to calculate the comfort level of passengers based on ISO 2631 criteria. The analysis was carried out by reverse engineering. The 3D model is based on general arrangement data from KM. Airaha 02, the main measure, and direct survey results. The ship's motion due to wave excitation is obtained from the results of the RAO analysis, then the comfort level is carried out by the Motion Sickness Incident (MSI) analysis. The biggest movement experienced by KM Airaha 02 is surge of 2.8 m/m and roll of 6.1 deg/m. Passengers began to feel discomfort after 2 hours of travel when the waves came from the head seas direction. If the direction of the wave is coming from the side, passengers start to feel discomfort after 8 hours of travel.

Abstract

Penanganan pasca tertangkapnya ikan sangat penting dilakukan guna mempertahakan mutu hasil tangkapan. Penggunaan box fiberglass sebagai tempat penyimpan ikan pada kapal nelayan skala kecil umum digunakan, namun diperlukan modifikasi dengan penambahan bahan isolator guna ketahanan atas suhu didalam box. Tujuan penelitian adalah menguji laju suhu pada box fiberglass yang telah di modifikasi dan uji organoleptic terhadap ikan dengan menggunakan box fiberhlass modifikasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental laboratorium dengan melakukan pengujian terhadap box fiberglass modifikasi (box eskperimen) dengan control terhadap laju suhu dan uji organoleptic sampel ikan. Pengujian terhadap laju suhu menunjukkan perbedaan nyata antara box eskperimen dan box control setiap pengukuran TA, TB, dan TC. Hasil organoleptic dengan sampel ikan Kakap putih dan Kakap merah menunjukkan perbedaan nyata antara box eskperimen dan box kontrol baik terhadap waktu pengamatan maupun sampel ikan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan box eksperimen dapat mempertahankan kesegaran ikan hingga 48 jam. KATA KUNCI: Box Fiberglass Modifikasi, Laju Suhu, Uji Organoleptik

Abstract

Balai Pengembangan Teknologi Kelautan dan Perikanan (BPTKP) memproduksi ikan konsumsi salah satunya ikan lele (Clarias gariepinus). Ikan ini merupakan ikan yang paling banyak diminati oleh pembeli maupun pembudidaya ikan sehingga permintaan terhadap ikan ini cukup tinggi. Kendala yang sering dihadapi pada budidaya ikan lele ialah serangan parasit khususnya ektoparasit yang dapat mengakibatkan menurunnya tingkat produksi budidaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis ektoparasit dan tingkat prevalensi ektoparasit yang menyerang pada benih ikan lele di BPTKP Cangkringan, Sleman. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah metode deskripsi, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah benih ikan lele berukuran 4-6 cm. Pemeriksaan ektoparasit pada benih ikan lele dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu pertama, pengambilan lendir dan diletakkan pada object glass selanjutnya diamati dibawah mikroskop dan cara kedua, memotong insang dan dihaluskan dengan mortar alu lalu diletakkan pada object glass kemudian diamati dibawah mikroskop. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis ektoparasit yang menyerang benih ikan lele di BPTKP Cangkringan, Sleman ialah Dactylogyrus sp dan Ichthyophthirius multifilis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hormon ovaprim dan hipofisa terhadap masa laten pemijahan, fekunditas, periode penetasan telur, derajat telur yang menetas dan kelangsungan hidup larva ikan lele. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan yaitu perlakuan pemijahan secara alami, penggunaan hormon ovaprim dan kelenjar hipofisa. Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari satu pasang induk yang telah matang gonad. Masa laten pemijahan tercepat diperoleh pada perlakuan pemijahan injeksi hormon ovaprim yaitu 8 jam, diikuti injeksi kelenjar hipofisa 9,25 jam dan pemijahan alami yaitu 10 jam. Jumlah telur yang dihasilkan pada perlakuan injeksi hormon ovaprim sebesar 6.542 butir, hipofisa sebesar 6.292,75 butir dan alami sebesar 4.862,25 butir. Periode penetasan telur dan derajat telur yang menetas yaitu sebesar 23,27 jam dan 91,01% pada perlakuan injeksi hormon ovaprim, 23,25 jam dan 82,89% pada injeksi kelenjar hipofisa dan 28,25 jam dan 74,75 % pada pemijahan alami. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup larva hasil injeksi hormone ovaprim, hipofisa dan alami yaitu 94,57%, 90,91% dan 90,49%. Berdasarkan hasil perlakuan pemijahan menggunakan hormone sintesis dan ekstrak pituitary ikan mas berpengaruh terhadap masa laten pemijahan, fekunditas, periode penetasan, derajat penetasan telur namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelangsungan hidup larva lele (p<0,05).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the type of seaweed that is good and can produce maximum growth and survival of Siganus guttatus. This research was carried out from June-September 2021, at at the Shrimp Hatchery Installation (IPUW), Barru, South Sulawesi. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) used three treatments with three replications. The treatments used were treatment A (100% control of commercial feeding), treatment B (feeding Gracilaria sp. 100 %), treatment C (feeding Ulva sp.). The parameter measured were Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Absolute Growth, Survival and Palatability. The data was analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and with the W-Tukey test if there were differences between treatments. 180 Siganus guttatus juveniles (average weight of 5.65 g) were reared in a tanks (62x41x51 cm) for 75 days. The highest daily growth was obtained in commercial feed A (PF 1000) which was 1.53 g, the highest absolute growth was obtained in treatment A (Commercial Feed) 12.29 g, both treatments B (Gracilaria sp.) 4.30 g and the lowest was treatment C (Ulva sp.) .) 2.82 g. The highest survival rate (survival rate) was obtained in treatment A (Commercial Feed) and B (Gracilaria sp.) 98.33%, and the lowest was in treatment C (Ulva sp.) with an average value of 85.00%. Based on the results of the ANOVA test, it can be concluded that the research conducted by providing commercial feed (PF 1000), Gracilaria sp. and Ulva sp. significant effect (P<0.05) on specific growth, absolute growth, survival and palatability of baronang fish (Siganus guttatus). The results showed that the highest feed consumption value was in treatment A of 144.57 g, followed by Treatment B (Gracilaria sp.) of 142.19 g and the lowest of treatment C (Ulva sp.) of 100.01 g.
