Abstract

KM. Airaha 02 is a training vessel owned by the Sorong Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic. This ship is a type of fishing vessel that has a weight of 169 GT, LOA 30.20 m and a width of 6.30 m. KM. Airaha 02 is capable of traveling at a speed of 12.5 knots. KM. Airaha 02 is equipped with long line tuna fishing gear and squid jigging, frozen fish hold, and freezing room. Safety and comfort of crew and passengers on KM. Airaha 02 really needs to be considered for the smooth operation of fishing operations. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the evaluation of the ship's motion when traveling on random waves in order to calculate the comfort level of passengers based on ISO 2631 criteria. The analysis was carried out by reverse engineering. The 3D model is based on general arrangement data from KM. Airaha 02, the main measure, and direct survey results. The ship's motion due to wave excitation is obtained from the results of the RAO analysis, then the comfort level is carried out by the Motion Sickness Incident (MSI) analysis. The biggest movement experienced by KM Airaha 02 is surge of 2.8 m/m and roll of 6.1 deg/m. Passengers began to feel discomfort after 2 hours of travel when the waves came from the head seas direction. If the direction of the wave is coming from the side, passengers start to feel discomfort after 8 hours of travel.

Abstract

The lack of competence of Sorong Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic cadets in the field of drawing techniques is one of the causes of the low absorption of graduates in the field of engineering, where the Fisheries Mechanization study program has a curriculum syllabus that is suitable for various engineering industries such as shipbuilding, food processing machinery, ship machinery factories, fishing gear factory, pump factory. While the technical drawing courses taught in the fishery mechanization study program are still limited to manual drawings with paper, as well as tasks in other courses in the form of drawings are also still carried out by manual drawing processes, while technical drawings in industry require accuracy and speed which are difficult to rely on. manual drawing techniques. AutoCad software is one of the computer applications that is considered very effective as a tool in learning and improving students' understanding of technical drawing. Activation of the legal licensed AutoCAD software is expensive, so in this Community Service activity, the AutoCad free Student License activation is carried out, in addition to providing an increase in the soft skills of cadets. Abstract

As the population increased, the requirement for housing increased as well. The Randuputih coastal area on the coasts of Probolinggo Regency is located in the northern part of Java Island, so most residential areas are in the north coastal area. In this area, there is housing development close to the coastal area. With the housing development near the Probolinggo coastal area, we plan to build a coastal protection building as a groin structure to prevent erosion along the coast. In designing the groin structure, it is necessary to analyze the coastline changes in the Randuputih coastal area, Probolinggo Regency, to calculate the length of the groin built in that area. As a reference for calculating the groin structure, the analysis carried out observed changes in the coastline over 20 years (2003-2023). The sediment transport method used is the Ijima Sato sediment transport method because this method approximates changes in coastlines based on observations over 20 years in the Randuputih coastal area, Probolinggo Regency. The average sediment transport is 3.74 m3/day from the northwest. Adding three groin structures along 700m can maintain coastline change stability by up to 6.61%. Before the groins were applied, the average coastline change was 34%.

Abstract

An offshore aquaculture model called OFITS has been designed to be installed in the Indonesia Ocean. The OFITS structure consists of an underwater fish cage and living quarters at the superstructure. An asymmetric mooring line arrangement is proposed to be applied at OFITS. This paper aims to analyze the integrity and safety factor of the asymmetric mooring line arrangement used on OFITS in the presence of environmental load. The proposed asymmetric mooring line arrangement has 14 lines with a specified configuration. There are 10 mooring lines installed on the front side in line with the incoming waves and 4 others installed behind the cage. A nylon line with a diameter of 42 mm and a length of 70 m is used as the mooring line attached to a steel anchor weighing 0.25 tons. The analysis method for the moored cage motion uses the time domain analysis. The mooring line's integrity analysis results show that the maximum tension result is 18.55 tons, with a safety factor of 2.07. It can be concluded that the proposed asymmetric arrangement mooring has good integrity and meets the safety factor requirements of the DNVGL standard, with a minimum safety factor of 1.45.
