Journal in Islamic Studies published by the Institute for Student Studies and Empowerment IAIN Purwokerto. Subjects include textual study and fieldwork with various perspectives on law, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, theology, and more. Initially, the journal only functioned as a print and electronic journal media that accommodated and published research results from theses/final assignments and/or part of theses/final assignments for students of IAIN Purwokerto S.1 and S.2, from multidisciplinary sciences. However, due to later developments with a wider audience, the journal has managed to invite scholars and researchers outside the Institute to contribute. Thus, Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have enriched studies published in journals. Although from the start Raushan Fikr did not present highly qualified scientific articles, the improvement — in terms of format, style, and academic quality — never stopped. Now with articles written in Indonesian, Arabic and English and with fair peer-review procedures, Raushan Fikr continues to publish research and studies related to Islamic studies with various dimensions and approaches. Raushan Fikr, published twice a year (1 volume and 2 numbers) in January and July, has always placed Islam and Muslims in the main focus of academic inquiry and invited comprehensive observations on Islam as a theological belief and system of society and Muslims as those who practice religion with many sides. This journal, serving as a forum for Islamic studies in Indonesia and other parts of the world in a local and challenging global context, supports theme-focused studies and interdisciplinary studies. Raushan Fikr has become a medium for diffusion and exchange of ideas and research findings, in such a way that researchers, writers and readers from various learning traditions have interacted in a scientific way.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the meaning of favors contained in Surah At-Takatsur by analyzing Al-Azhar's interpretation. The method used in this research is qualitative literature research with the descriptive-analytical method, assisted by Hans George Gadamer’s horizon theory as a bridge to reveal favors in Surah At-Takatsur in the interpretation of Al-Azhar. This study showed that: 1) the favors described in the surah are related to the favors of this mortal world, 2) The favors obtained by humans can be neglected in life in the future, and these favors will be accounted for in the future, 3) The true pleasure is the enjoyment of life in the future.

Abstract

This article is a comparative study of the thoughts of the Mażhab Syāfi’i and the Mażhab Māliki on the divorce of pregnant women. Mażhab Syāfi’i allows divorces to take place during pregnancy. However, some adherents of mażhab Māliki prohibit divorce from being pregnant. This writing aims to find out the legal istinbat methods used by both. This type of research includes library research with normative approaches and fiqh that is descriptive-analytic to describe the problem of divorce of pregnant women. The results of this study are that the legal istinbaţ method used by mażhab Syāfi’i is the Qur’an, and the Hadith is based on surah Aţ-Ţalāq verse 1 and Hadith from Ibn Umar RA. Otherwise, mażhab Māliki (Al-Qodhi Abu Hasan) uses “qiyas” as the method of istinbaţ his law. Abu Hasan killed a pregnant woman with a man who had menstruated until it was illegal to divorce

Abstract

This paper analyzes the relevance between rejecting the Prophet Muhammad’s SAW monographic and rejecting the marriage limitation age. It has qualitative research for data, books, and articles. They contain Muhammad saw monographic and revision of the marriage limitation age. This research continues the topic of the relevance between rejecting the Prophet Muhammad SAW monographic and rejecting the marriage limitation age. We can see from the results that there is relevance. Both reject revisions and keep freshness. But both understand the revision. Unbelievers don’t understand that Muhammad’s SAW lesson was a truth for life and hereafter. Meanwhile, other people reject the revisions because they need to learn the effects a lot

Abstract

The use of uṣūl fiqh and maqāṣid asy-syarī’ah as methods of finding and verifying law often causes them to overlap and even self-contradict. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the principle of motion, then operate them in their respective parts. This paper aims to examine the principles of motion of each and build a reciprocal relationship between them. This research is qualitative-documentative, with data collected from books and journals. This study concludes that initially, maqāṣid asy-syarī’ah adheres to the principle of motion of istinbāṭī uṣūl al-fiqh, then becomes a spinoff with the principles of philosophical, analytic, and applicable motion to apply the law. The position of maqāṣid asy-syarī’ah as a spinoff has the consequence that it becomes an independent part of the Islamic legal system

Abstract

This article examines the meaning of the word fasiq in Surah al-Ḥujurāt: 6. In conducting the research, the author used Roland Barthes’s theory of semiotics which has two stages (linguistic stages and mythological stages). The result was that fasiq means someone who leaves the right path because he violates religious rules. Then the second stage of looking for the meaning of myths gives rise to the meaning of the fasiq as a liar or a person who spreads hoax news. Abstract

This article examines GBHN in the perspective of Maşlaĥah. This research uses a research method with a historical approach. The method of analysis used is the deductive method. The result of this research is that currently Indonesia does not need a GBHN, because Law Number 17 of 2007 concerning the National Long-Term Development Plan and Law Number 25 of 2004 concerning the National Development Planning System have been in effect and have become important development references, it is only how a President organizes the structures under him in development affairs so that the expected development can be achieved. On the other hand, in terms of the concept of Maşlaĥah, the discourse of reviving the GBHN will have an impact on the lack of responsibility of a state leader towards his people and of course it will be a problem because there are citizens' rights that are not fulfilled

Abstract

This article discusses Sufism, a solution to the spiritual crisis in modern society due to the times. This study aims to explain how Sufism can solve the dryness of spirituality—reintroducing the values of Sufism to the community so tshat they can be applied in everyday life. This research method is qualitative research conducted using observational surveys, document analysis, and information from online libraries such as ebooks. Based on research, human spirituality will increase again using Sufism, which can train humans not to follow lust, which tends to be strong towards materialism

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Implementation of Islamic Communication in Therapeutic Communication to Midwives at Inche Abdoel Moeis Hospital Samarinda. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a phenomenological approach. The results showed that there were six therapeutic communication techniques applied by midwives at Inche Abdoel Moeis Samarinda Hospital, namely (1) active and attentive listeners, (2) showing acceptance, (3) conveying the results of observations, (4) giving appreciation, (5) assertiveness, and (6) humor. Meanwhile, Islamic communication in therapeutic communication to midwives at RSUD Inche Abdoel Moeis Samarinda has yet to be formally applied but substantially has similarities in the principles of Islamic communication. This is manifested in the principles of (1) the principle of honesty, (2) positive speech principle, (3) the principle of the package (heart, verbal, and deed), (4) the principle of two ears and one mouth, (5) the principle of mutual influence, (6) the principle of privacy

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the interpretation of Surah An-Nisa: 119 and reveal the verse significance to the legal relevance of plastic surgery. This study uses a qualitative method with a ma’na-cum-maghza hermeneutic approach to seek the meaning and significance of verse in the modern era. The result of this study stated that Surah An-Nisa: 119, it is not right to legalize the prohibition of plastic surgery. Based on ma’na and maghza, Surah An-Nisa: 119 is changing the religious law system, and the physical form of humans or animals is legal as long as it is within the maqashid Syariah corridor. Based on its purpose, the law on plastic surgery is divided into halal or permissible if it is done to treat and beautify oneself without damaging and eliminating organ function and haram or prohibited if it is done to change human nature, such as castration or changing genitals

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of character education in mathematics in class 4B of SD Islam Plus Masyitoh Kroya. From the studies conducted, it can be seen that there are at least three values in character education that have been implemented in the teaching and learning process of mathematics in class 4B of SD Islam Plus Masyitoh Kroya, including (1) religious values through reading prayers before and after lessons take place; (2) the value of honesty in the process of working on questions and assignments and; (3) the value of discipline through punishment and reward methods. In instilling character in students who teach mathematics subjects, they experience several obstacles, starting from controlling students outside of school, which is very difficult even though the role of parents is not optimal. Nonetheless, good communication between tutors and student guardians continues to be pursued so that this character education can be implemented optimally
