Abstract

The company needs the so-called competitive advantage to succeed both in the domestic and international markets, where fierce competition from other businesses is a constant threat. Rapid advances in information technology, particularly the internet, have had a far-reaching impact in many areas, including social, economic, political, and cultural fields, as well as on people's daily routines, including the way they conduct business and shop for goods. Many people in Indonesia now prefer to shop online instead of visiting physical stores. Shopee's presence in the Indonesian e-commerce market is the result of the rapid expansion of the market which attracts many new players. This research is quantitative, using multiple regression techniques, and the respondents were 117 Shopee users from Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to investigate how advertising innovations and consumer perceptions of brands displayed on Shopee's e-commerce platform influence consumers' final decision to purchase those products. Based on the adjusted r2 value of 0.561 contained in the results of the coefficient of determination test, the variation in both independent variables of advertising creativity and brand attitude can explain 56.1% of the variation in the dependent variable of purchasing decisions. The influence on the dependent variables is also indicated by the results of simultaneous significance tests (statistics of the f test). A statistical f value of 68.0369 with a probability of 0.000 is displayed in the output. We can conclude that the invention of advertising and brand attitudes influence consumer decisions because the probability is less than 0.05. The results of the t-test, which tested the relationship between two independent variables (advertising inventiveness and brand attitude), support the idea that both have an influence level of 0.05 on the final decision of consumers.

Abstract

Pada zaman modern ini lembaga pendidikan pondok pesantren mau tidak mau harus diubah sistem pengelolaannya agar dapat menghadapi tantangan zaman. Jika tidak maka akan ditinggal masyarakat dan tidak laku. Di antara tuntutan agar dapat mempertahankan eksistensinya maka harus mampu menghasilkan lulusan yang tidak saja menguasai ilmu agama saja namun juga mampu berwirausaha secara mandiri. Pondok Pesantren Al Falah Ploso juga salah satu pondok yang cukup tua namun juga menambahkan kewirausahaan kepada santrinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Adapun sumber data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ialah pondok pesantren Al Falah Ploso Kediri telah membangun Al Falah Ploso Bakery pada tahun 2020 dengan produk kue dengan berbagai jenisnya. Al Falah Ploso Bakery dalam waktu yang relatif singkat telah berkembang pesat. Kesimpulannya ialah Al Falah Ploso Bakery dikelola dan menerapkan manajemen dengan baik mulai perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi, serta pengawasan. Selain itu untuk mengoptimalkan maka promosi dilakukan dengan metode offline dan online. Selanjutnya dilakukan juga promosi secara langsung ke masyarakat (face to face), mempromosikan di acara rutin pondok, menitipkan kue ke pondok mitra kerja sama. Selain itu juga melakukan promosi melalui media sosial (website, IG, FB dan lainnya).

Abstract

Transformasi digital menjadi faktor krusial yang memengaruhi cara UMKM beroperasi dan bersaing dalam lingkungan bisnis yang semakin digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implikasi transformasi digital terhadap usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) di era teknologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepustakaan (Library Research) dengan mengumpulkan data dari buku, jurnal, artikel imliah yang berkaitan dengan transformasi bisnis digital. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan model Miles dan Huberman (Pengumpulan Dara, Penyajian Data, Reduksi Data, Penarikan Kesimpulan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Faktor pendorong utama dalam transformasi digital Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) melibatkan perubahan perilaku konsumen yang cenderung digital, kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, dan tuntutan pasar yang terus berubah. 2) Proses transformasi digital pada UMKM mencakup perubahan mendalam dalam struktur, proses bisnis, dan budaya organisasi dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi digital. 3) Transformasi digital memberikan dampak positif dan negatif terhadap pelaku UMKM.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand how workload and dual role conflict affect the performance of married female teachers in junior high schools in East Lampung. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The research was conducted in junior high schools in East Lampung, with 138 respondents as samples from the same population. Samples were taken using a non-probability method with saturated census sampling. Data analysis used multiple linear regression run through SPSS v23 software for Windows. The research results indicate that: (1) Workload has a negative and significant effect on the performance of female teachers. (2) Dual Role Conflict also has a negative and significant effect on the performance of female teachers. (3) Together, workload and dual role conflict have a significant effect on the performance of female teachers.

Abstract

The introduction of Malaysia's Goods and Services Tax (GST) spurred a critical examination of its Syariah compatibility. The Malaysian Fatwa Committee endorsed taxation, emphasizing adherence to Syara’ parameters, prompting further exploration, especially concerning indirect taxation systems aligned with Islamic jurisprudence. This paper is focuses on critically analyzing how Syariah principles are currently applied in the formulation and implementation of Malaysia’s indirect tax policies and comprehensively explore the principles of indirect taxation from Syariah perspectives. This study delves into the rich heritage of Islamic economic thought. Renowned scholars such as Abu Yusuf, Al-Qardawi, and Chapra have laid down foundational principles that continue to guide contemporary fiscal policies in Islamic contexts. Employing qualitative methodology, the study conducts content analysis of secondary sources and interviews with key officials from the Malaysian National Fatwa Committee (NFC), Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (CUSTOMS). The findings reveal that Islamic scholars have delineated six principles, namely: quality of tax administrations; just, honest, and lenient treatment to taxpayers; fair distribution of income; defining of tax base and rates; flexibility in tax imposition; and approach to tax equity. While the first three principals have been implemented and adhered to, the latter three have been consolidated into the second principle. By bridging historical Islamic perspectives with contemporary policy needs, this study provides guidance for crafting Shariah-compliant especially in indirect tax policies, crucial for good governance and societal well-being. It contributes to Islamic economics discourse and addresses the need for studies evaluating Malaysia's indirect taxation practices' Shariah compliance.

Abstract

The management of Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) funds plays a critical role in supporting the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in West Kalimantan, as these funds provide essential capital to businesses with limited access to formal financing. This study explores how Lazismu Kalimantan Barat manages ZIS funds and examines their impact on the development of local MSMEs. Using a qualitative methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews with ZIS fund recipients. The research focuses on the processes of fund distribution, utilization, and the challenges faced by MSMEs in managing the capital received. The findings reveal that Lazismu has implemented an efficient and transparent process for distributing ZIS funds, facilitating access for recipients. The funds are primarily used to enhance production capacity, improve product quality, and support business operations. Additionally, MSMEs benefit from financial management and marketing training provided by Lazismu. However, challenges in fund allocation remain, indicating the need for more intensive mentorship in financial planning. The study concludes that Lazismu's effective management of ZIS funds has significantly contributed to MSME growth, particularly in production capacity, innovation, and market expansion. Future programs should prioritize in-depth financial training to maximize the impact of ZIS funds and further support MSME sustainability

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing the performance of Islamic Balanced Mutual Funds in Indonesia, with a specific focus on fluctuations in Net Asset Value (NAV). The declining growth of these funds is hypothesized to be associated with a weakening macroeconomic environment. External variables considered in this study include inflation and the Bank Indonesia benchmark interest rate (BI Rate), while internal variables encompass trading volume and transaction timing. The objective is to examine the impact of both internal and external factors on the NAV performance of Islamic Balanced Mutual Funds. The sample consists of two actively managed Islamic mutual funds operating between 2016 and 2023. Panel regression analysis is employed to evaluate the relationships. The findings reveal that internal and external factors jointly influence NAV performance. Specifically, trading volume and transaction timing exhibit statistically significant effects, while inflation and the BI Rate do not show a significant impact on NAV. These results suggest that fund performance is more sensitive to internal market dynamics than to macroeconomic indicators.

Abstract

Community-based tourism has emerged as a key strategy for enhancing the economic welfare of local communities, particularly in Komodo Village, which is evolving into a prominent tourist destination. This study aims to analyze the optimization of tourism management in Komodo Village and its role in increasing the income of local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) by evaluating the integration of Islamic business ethics into local economic practices. A qualitative approach was employed, including in-depth interviews with MSME actors, tourism managers, and tourists, along with direct observations of the economic dynamics in Komodo Village. Tourism in Komodo Village has significantly contributed to the growth of MSMEs and diversification of local livelihoods. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, fluctuations in tourist numbers, and business practices not fully adhering to Islamic principles of justice were identified. Despite these issues, there is a growing awareness among the community about the importance of integrating Islamic values into business practices. The findings suggest that halal tourism and the Islamic economy offer a more inclusive and sustainable model for tourism development. There is a need for more integrated policies in halal tourism management and strategies aimed at strengthening MSMEs to enhance the economic competitiveness of the local community.

Abstract

In the market, people exchange goods and services with one another to satisfy their wants, including those related to fashion. The global fashion industry has changed due to the advances in information and communication technologies, especially in consumer purchasing patterns. Especially in consumer purchasing patterns, the convenience offered by e-commerce platforms is the main reason why many people now prefer to buy all their needs, including fashion products. This study aims to identify “the effectiveness of alternative marketing strategies and trust in improving purchase decisions of fashion products on e-commerce platforms”. This research used the quantitative method with a linear regression technique, using 277 respondents from the TikTok shop users as the object of the research. The findings indicate that the parameters examined in this study positively influence a person's decision to purchase a product on an online marketplace. In this study, alternative promotion strategies, namely online customer reviews, content marketing, and flash sales, were also found to be some promotional ideas that can be used to increase sales. Additionally, trust is a factor that influences a person's decision to buy a product favorably by giving them a stimulus that increases their confidence in their choice.
