Abstract

This study is to determine whether the application of fingerprint attendance can be used as a tool to control performance discipline. This study uses a qualitative description method with the interview method, data collection in the form of documents. Data validation with triangulation techniques. The results of data analysis show that the fingerprint system simplifies the presence process so that the fingerprint system can be used as a disciplinary control tool because all attendance data can be stored.

Abstract

This study aims to explain in depth the principal's strategy in forming the religious character of students: a case study in Muhammadiyah 1 Primary School, Sedati, Sidoarjo. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data sources were taken from the principal, teachers, employees, students, parents of students and the general public. Data collection tools include interviews, observations, and documentation. From the results of the study illustrate that the Religious Character Building of Students in Muhammadiyah 1 Sedati Elementary School, Sidoarjo includes: (a) Al Qur'an Reading and Writing Program (BTQ) (b) Tahfidh Al Quran Learning Program (c) Implementation of Dhuhur and Asr Prayer (d) ) Customizing Smile Greetings and Shaking Hands (e) Learning ISMUBA curriculum (f) Commemoration of Islamic Holidays (PHBI) (2) The principal's strategy in building the religious character of students is manifested in religious cultured school programs in Muhammadiyah Elementary School 1 Sedati, Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Character education in the 2013 curriculum aims to improve the quality of the process and educational outcomes that lead to the formation of character and noble character of students in full, integrated, and balanced in accordance with the standard competence of graduates in each educational unit. Forming good character is the primary obligation of an educator. Based on the description above, researchers conducted an analysis of character education in the 2013 curriculum to shape the moral awareness of education in schools through qualitative research. From the interviews conducted, the results obtained from the character values ​​embedded in the school are honesty.

Abstract

Schools generally prepare class XII students to continue their studies at the higher education level, both official and non-official, this is done because almost 90% more high school students choose to continue their studies in higher education. In general, students take two selection courses at tertiary institutions, namely the national selection of state tertiary institutions (SNMPTN) and the joint selection of state tertiary institutions (SBMPTN). Both of these selections require intense preparation and guidance by the school conducted by the homeroom teacher and tutor. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the optimization of career services can improve the success of students who are accepted into state universities. This study uses qualitative methods, namely research procedures that produce descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from people or observable behavior. The study was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. In this study the source of the data obtained from interviews and observations to counseling guidance teachers, vice principals in the field of student affairs, public relations and school principals. Research data uses alumni data from Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo High School from the 2015-2016 academic year until 2019 - 2020. Guidance and counseling have a very important role in helping the achievement of national education goals, and helping students achieve maximum potential development, independence in their lives, and decision making and choices to create a productive, prosperous and caring public welfare life.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah 3 Waru Junior Highschool is an Islamic school, which established since 1975. The learning activities at Muhammadiyah 3 Waru Junior Highschool are organized by the school curriculum in collaboration with the national curriculum, Muhammadiyah, Tahfidz, and International, EPP curriculum. The management system in the field of education is a process created to coordinate various educational resources, facilities and infrastructure needed with a view to achieving educational goals and objectives. This study aims to examine more further about the principal's managerial system in creating a quality culture in Muhammadiyah 3 Waru Junior Highschool by describing the problems faced by the principal such as: 1) the form of the principal's management concept, 2) the steps taken by the principal in realizing the concept of management in schools, 3) the form of the concept of quality schools that are built, 4) the efforts of the school in creating a quality culture, 5) the role of the principal in creating a quality culture. This research is a qualitative research field by using descriptive methods that aim to make sensing (description) systematically factual and accurate about the facts and characteristics of the population or a particular area. The approach used is a phenomenological approach that seeks to understand the meaning of events and their links to ordinary people in certain situations, in this research emphasizes the subjective aspects of the people studied. This study produced 5 answers to the problems that fit the focus of the study presented as follows: The concept of the principal management of the Muhammadiyah 3 Waru Junior Highschool uses an Islamic leadership management system, prioritizing the resources of its school residents.

Abstract

The qualitatif research about implementation of education has been applied through discipline coaching of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo on December 2nd until 4th, 2019. This research objective is the implementation on character education of discipline coaching of students at Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School Sidoarjo. The research method is qualitative research. The result of this research are: (1) discipline coaching management are divided into two strategies, which are internal coaching and external coaching, (2) discipline coaching school strategy can be applied through extraculicular activities, spiritual activities, habitual activities, uniform and attributes allowed, rules of time to come and leave the school, the lateness of the students, manner in school relationship, clean and order, following flag and celebration ceremony, and (3) external coaching strategy through parents and society cooperation, (4) the percentage of students lateness was 10% descend, the percentage of inappropriate uniform was 23% descend, also the percentage of students absence without permission was 88% descend at education year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Santri leadership patterns (people studying the teachings of Islam in Islamic boarding schools) in organizing are essential. The effectiveness of the activities of a pesantren related to santri is very much determined from the leadership pattern of the santri in the existing organization at the pesantren. So this study aims to determine the leadership style of students in a good pattern. Leadership is an attempt by someone to recognize and motivate their members to carry out a process to achieve the goals carried in a group or organization. The leader is functioned to formulate structural objectives and processes, ensure the integrity of the members, solve joint problems and follow up on the results of the evaluation. The organization itself is a unity of several people formed to achieve certain goals together. Organizational success depends on 4 things: (1) Planning, (2) Arrangement, (3) Reporting and (4) Supervision. This study uses a qualitative method that is collecting data in the form of words and understanding of the observations. This type of research is descriptive, the research serves to describe the pattern of leadership of students in organizing in the Islamic Union Islamic School (PERSIS) Bangil. From the results of the study, the santri leadership pattern in organizing in the PERSIS pesantren is a democratic leadership pattern, namely leadership that makes members as a team, deliberates on decisions and conveys work tasks in control and supervision. And this democratic leadership is oriented to faith and piety, good character and role models from the Prophet Muhammad.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of providing time management assistance. to reduce the intensity of tardiness in 7th grade female students. This research is an experimental study with a single subject research. Interventions were carried out on research subjects and parents. Intervention by accompanying the subject in managing the time of daily activities clearly and in writing, while the subject of intervention in parents is psychoeducation. Interventions conducted on the subject were done in 4 sessions with each session carried out for 60 minutes where in the first session the subject was given an explanation of the importance of time management, in the second session the subject was asked to detail the important daily activities and must be carried out and determine the time at each activity, in the third session the subjects were asked to evaluate related matters that did not support the fulfillment of the specified time management and the things that might be done to keep doing activities in accordance with the time specified and for the fourth session the subjects were asked to evaluate the entire intervention process and conclude with regard to its effects. The intervention that was carried out to parents was carried out 1 time with a duration of 30 minutes. The result of the intervention is that the research subject can manage the time of daily activities more clearly and in writing so that he can follow the set time. In the subject's parents, the subject's mother understood more about the subject's problems and needs so that the parents paid more attention to the subject and determined someone to bring the subject to school at the designated time. From the interventions carried out, there are changes in the way of thinking and attitudes towards the subject and parents of the subject which are expected to reduce the intensity of the subject's lateness to school.

Abstract

Teenager with diplegia cerebral palsy has poor ADL (Activity Daily Living) ability. This is due to that he doesn’t train his ability while at home because his family choose to give him full support by preparing all his needs. The goal of this researches is to change dependent behavior to more independent in his simple daily routine that related to optimum hand utilization and also ability to move independently. Researcher is using experimental method with case study approach. Researcher give behavioral therapy intervention (shaping) to improve level of independence of subject. Intervention was done in 5 session, including rapport, determined activity, activity training, intervention and evaluation. Intervention was done in 6 days doing observation and using target achievement activity checklist. Before intervention, subject always aided in daily living activity. After intervention, subject want and able to do simple daily activity such as eat, using and tidy up his clothes and also moved independently. The result of this researches show that shaping behavioral therapy can be used to improve level of independence in teenager with cerebral palsy diplegia.

Abstract

Addiction to gadgets refers to the loss of control, obsessive behavior, interpersonal problems, lack of tolerance, signs of antisocial which lead to dependency on gadgets. The intervention in this research was administered is to reduce the addiction to gadgets by promoting children to play without using gadgets. This research was conducted in a single-subject design with three phases, namely the base line phasein which several behaviors were determined to be intervened, intervention phase and finally the baseline evaluation phase. Research data were collected through interviews (autoanamnesa and alloanamnesa), observation and psychological tests including Forer, CAT, and HTP. The subject of this research was a 5-year-old girls who suffered from gadget addiction. The intervention was carried out in three stages for 20 days, each of which lasted for 2 hours. In the first stage, rapport and therapeutic contracts were administered and play therapy without using gadgets was done, and rewards were given when the subject successfully did the task. The last stage was the termination of all activities that had been carried out. The interventions carried out in this research showed significant behavioral changes. Before the intervention, the subject spent 6-7 hours per day to play gadgets. The subject always cried when going to school and was less interested in playing games with his friends. After the intervention, the subject started to do her daily activities with lesser screen time and longer time to play with friends without gadgets. The subject also started to get ready for school every morning.
