Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran debate pada pelajaran PPKN pokok bahasan Bela Negara di kelas X, SMA Cerdas Bangsa Delitua. Dan apakah model debate dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian dilakukakn di SMA Cerdas Bangsa Delitua kelas X, dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 30 orang dengan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus dengan menggunakan alat pengumpul data berupa ; lembar observasi, angket dan test. Dari hasil pengolahan data yang dilakukan pada siklus I perlu di lakukan refleksi dan dilanjutkan pada siklus II diperoleh hasil : bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran debat hasil belajar siswa tuntas secara klasikal, ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran tuntas secara keseluruhan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah berkategori baikdan respon siswa berkategori positif hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran debat adalah efektiv dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, sehingga model debat dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran PPKN.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the difficulties of Grade V students of SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor in Determining Phrases, expressions  and Compound Words. The purpose of this study was to determine the abilities, difficulties and factors causing the students' difficulties in determining phrases, expressions and compound words for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted in Class V SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor on 19-20 February 2021. Data collection tools used in this study were multiple choice tests and interviews. Tests are used to determine students' abilities and difficulties, while interviews are used to determine factors that cause student difficulties. Then the data analysis techniques are average and percentage. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor and also as samples in the study. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that (1) the students' ability to determine phrases, expressions and compound words of grade V SD Negeri 060936 Medan Johor obtained an average of 49.21 and included in the underprivileged criteria. (2) based on the test questions given the difficulties experienced by students are in the phrase, namely with a percentage of 60.71% and it is included in the high difficulty criteria. As for the difficulties experienced by students, namely, not being able to determine the exact meaning and examples of phrases. (3) the factors that cause student difficulties are the lack of motivation and desire of students in learning Indonesian, the difficulty of students determining phrases, expressions and compound words, the teacher's lack of optimism in teaching material and using media when learning and the lack of parental roles in children's learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of teaching style (Inclusion and Exercise) and coordination to Learning Outcomes Triple Jump. Research was conducted on students of SMK Negeri 7 Medan, this research used treatment by level 2 x 2. The sample consisted of 40 students who were divided into 4 groups, which there 10 students. Analysis data taken by ANOVA and Tukey test continued with the level of significance ɑ = .05.These results indicate that (1) The style of teaching inclusions have a better effect than the teaching styles of exercise on learning outcomes Triple Jump which have high coordination. (2) The style of teaching exercise has a better effect than the inclusion of teaching styles to learning outcomes Triple Jump which has a low coordination.

Abstract

The implementation of ferry transportation must ensure the comfort, security and safety of passengers and goods. To ensure the safety of crossing transportation, several regulations are set. This situation forces shipping human resources, including port managers and ship operators, to constantly make adjustments. Although efforts to reduce the risk of accidents always have an impact on increasing costs. The large number of facilities and infrastructure operated to serve the above crossing activities also shows the magnitude of the threat to shipping safety if these activities are not managed properly. Therefore, the research was conducted to describe the symptoms or phenomena related to the ferry operating at the Benteng and Larantuka ports, the productivity of the operating ferry transport, port human resources based on competency certificates, and ship safety certificates. The instrument used to collect data in this study was a non-test instrument in the form of an observation list. Based on the data, analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the capacity to transport passengers from and to the ports of Pamatata and Pemenang is declared sufficient. However, there is a shortage of carriage capacity at the port of Pamatata. the minimum number of human resources at the two ports that already have shipping education and training. Therefore, suggestions from researchers are needed to increase vehicle transport capacity, especially to increase the number of human resources who have Competency Certificates and require SAR, harbor and port training.

Abstract

The database is one of the important components of information systems, as it serves as the information provider base for the users. Application of the database in the information system is called the system database. The database system (database system) is an information system that integrates a collection of data that are interconnected with each other and make it available for multiple applications in an organization.The purpose of database design is to determine the data needed in the system, so that the resulting information can be met well. Databases that have been entered in a storage media can never be accessed without the existence of a software application that is familiar with it, let's say a database-based application software.

Abstract

Sports activities can be associated with health and goal achievement, which includes various aspects, one of which is physical fitness. The Covid-19 outbreak has not been identified in terms of the physical fitness of students majoring in sports, especially during the new normal period. The purpose of this study was to measure the level of physical fitness of sports students. This research is a descriptive research with a survey approach. The demographics and sample of this research are sports students, with a total of 15 students whose data collection was carried out before and after the new normal period of Covid-19. The data collection technique in this study used a physical fitness test instrument consisting of test items, namely a 60-meter run test, a 60-second hanging test, a sit-up test for 60 seconds, an upright jump test, and a 1200-meter run test. The data analysis approach used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis with percentage presentation. Based on the results of the study, the physical fitness of the students of the Sports Education Study Program, Quality Berastagi University very good 1 person (6.67%), good 3 people (20%), moderate 5 people (40%), less than 3 people (20%0 and less than 2 people (13.33%). So it can be concluded that in the new era Normal level of physical fitness is categorized as moderate.

Abstract

After it was found the general solution of by radicals of polynomial up to degree four, appear a problem that there is no general solution by radicals of polynomial degree five. Galois theory had appeared as the answereof this problem and it has given a big role in development of mathematics in particular Algebra and Number Theory. To determine Galois group from a rational monic polynomial f(x) with integer coefficients of degree n is determining automorphism group from roots of f(x). Therefore, Galois Group f(x)is a subgroup of Sn. Method of Stauduhar as one manner to determining Galois Group f(x), that is finding the least maximal transitive subgroup that act on roots of f(x).In this paper will be studied method of Stauduhar using Dedekind’s Theorem.

Abstract

To face the challenges of a globalized world requires Human Resources (HR) with potential. These challenges can be overcome if a person has good metacognitive potential. With good metacognition skills, it can overcome any problems in learning activities and in everyday life. Cognitive processes include changes that occur in individuals regarding thinking, intelligence and language. Metacognition refers to a person's skills in processing information and strategies in processing that information. In its implementation, metacognition is not as simple as its definition because it refers to a high-level mental process such as making plans, using appropriate strategies to solve a problem and making evaluation alternatives. Metacognition is an important aspect of individual learning. This includes self-regulation, reflection on strengths, weaknesses in self-performance and learning strategies. Based on this statement, metacognition plays a very important role in the learning activities of students in the primary school teacher education study program. through self-regulation activities, reflection on the weaknesses and strengths of what has been done and the learning strategies that have been pursued, students will be able to improve the quality of the process and learning outcomes. Research Objectives: To see the description of metacognition in students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) at Quality Berastagi University. Research Method: Quantitative Descriptive using excel. The data obtained were analyzed using the Percentage Measurement Technique. Targeted outcomes: Students will get good metacognition. This research was conducted at the University of Quality Berastagi, North Sumatra with the research subjects being 258 students of the PGSD Study Program. The sampling technique was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used the MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) questionnaire sheet which consisted of 52 questionnaire items consisting of 5 rating scales. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive using excel. The data obtained were analyzed by using the percentage measurement technique. The percentage of Metacognitive Awareness of PGSD Students reached 75.09%, the Percentage of Metacognitive Awareness Components of PGSD Students (Knowledge Abaout Cognition reached 25.03% & Regulation of Cognition reached 50.06%. Details of the Percentage of Metacognitive Awareness Components of PGSD Students (Declarative Knowledge (76%)) ), Procedural Knowledge (77.03%), Conditional Knowledge (77.08%), Planning (77.54%), Information Management Strategies (71.7%), Comprehension Monitoring (73.5%), Debugging Strategies ( 77%), and Evaluation (74.06%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana motivasi belajar siswa, ditinjau dari tingkat pendidikan orangtua siswa SMP Negeri 15 Medan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Siswa Smp Negeri 15 Medan pada Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018. Subjek penelitian terdiri dan Siswa Smp Negeri 15 Medan      yang berjumlah 78 orang. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan yaitu : wawancara, observasi dan angket. Dan pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus uji t - Test (uji beda) dengan ketentuan ha diterima apabila   th >  tt pada  = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka diperoleh bahwa : motivasi belajar siswa SMP Negeri 15 Medan      tergolong kategori sedang dengan relatif = 47,43 %. Tingkat pendidikan ayah dari Siswa SMP Negeri 15 Medan pada umumnya berpendidikan menengah berjumlah 46 orang dan berpendidikan dasar berjumlah 23 orang.Tingkat pendidikan ibu dari siswa kelas V Siswa Smp Negeri 15 Medan      pada umumnya berpendidikan menengah berjumlah 40 orang dan berpendidikan dasar berjumlah 36 orang. Karena th< tt pada  = 0,05 maka tidak terdapat perbedaan yang berarti motivasi belajar siswa ditinjau dari tingkat pendidikan orangtua Siswa SMP Negeri 15 Medan dalam hal ini hipotesa ditolak.

Abstract

Along with the rapid development of the times, all aspects of life also changed. This is a challenge for educators to be able to use technology optimally and can facilitate interaction with students in the learning process, one of which is Edmodo. Edmodo is a social learning platform for teachers / lecturers and students / students that provides several features to support e-learning such as assignments, quizzes, assessments, etc. Through edmodo teachers and students can share notes and documents and can share discussions online. This study aims to describe the use of edmodo in analytic geometry learning in 5th semester students of the Mathematics Education study program at Quality University, Medan. This research is a qualitative research. Qualitative research is said because it is descriptive and tends to use analysis of research subjects that are highlighted. Analysis techniques used are reduction, presentation, and verification and conclusion. Validation using triangulation (combined). Reduction namely that has been obtained is reduced so that it gives a clearer picture and makes it easier for researchers to collect. Presentation is done in the form of brief description. Verification and drawing conclusions are new findings that have never before existed.
