Abstract

The contemporary utilization of tarot extends beyond its traditional role in fortune-telling, serving also as a tool for self-reflection and the pursuit of personal meaning. This phenomenon is particularly intriguing when observed among psychology students, who are academically trained in scientific methodologies and empirical reasoning. This study seeks to explore the subjective experiences of psychology students who engage with tarot reading services and to understand how they reconcile this practice with their science-based academic training. Employing a qualitative research design, the study utilizes the interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) method. The participants comprised three psychology students who had previously engaged with tarot reading services. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and analyzed following IPA procedures. The findings indicate that tarot is employed in contexts involving romantic issues and personal dilemmas, functioning as a means to reinforce evaluations, guide decision-making, facilitate self-reflection, and provide validation and emotional reassurance. Despite being epistemologically distinct from psychology, participants perceive tarot and psychology as two separate domains that can coexist within personal experience. These findings underscore the capacity of individuals to navigate multiple frameworks of meaning simultaneously, thereby maintaining coherence between experience and belief in daily life. The implications suggest that, within the context of contemporary life, psychology students are adept at negotiating scientific knowledge alongside practices of personal meaning as part of managing their life experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the patterns of symbolic violence perpetrated by students against teachers at SMPN 281 Jakarta and how teachers respond to it. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through observation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was conducted in stages, namely through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validation was carried out using the member check technique. The results of the study show that the forms of symbolic violence at SMPN 281 Jakarta include neglect, verbal abuse, and passive resistance. The teachers' responses to this violence varied. Some teachers felt disappointed because the students did not respect them while they were teaching. There were also teachers who experienced a decline in enthusiasm, although they later overcame this with self-motivation and pedagogical reflection. There were also those who considered this a challenge for teachers to improve their teaching methods, impose religious punishments, and take a personal approach to students. This study concludes that symbolic violence occurs subtly and often unconsciously, eliciting emotional responses and prompting teachers to develop strategies to address it.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the antecedents and outcomes of neglectful parenting, a parenting style characterized by low emotional involvement, inadequate supervision, and insufficient fulfillment of adolescents’ physical and psychological needs. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach was employed, following the PRISMA guidelines, including identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and final inclusion. An initial search identified 450 scholarly articles published in national and international journals indexed in Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar. After applying rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria, 14 high-quality empirical studies were selected for in-depth analysis. The findings consistently indicate that neglectful parenting is significantly associated with various adverse outcomes in adolescents, including increased vulnerability to mental health problems, engagement in delinquent behaviors, academic underachievement, and impairments in emotional and social development. Furthermore, this review identifies several key antecedent factors contributing to the emergence of neglectful parenting practices, such as high parental stress, socioeconomic hardship, low parental educational attainment, and limited social support systems. These results suggest that neglectful parenting is a multidimensional phenomenon shaped by the complex interaction of individual, familial, and broader social contexts. The study highlights the critical need for family-based preventive and intervention strategies, as well as social policies aimed at strengthening parental capacity and well-being. Addressing the antecedents of neglectful parenting is essential to mitigating its long-term negative consequences and promoting healthier developmental outcomes among adolescents.

Abstract

This study is motivated by Indonesia’s efforts to accelerate the achievement of the Indonesia Golden Vision 2045 by optimizing the demographic bonus as a foundation for national development. The success of this vision depends on the availability of competitive and high-quality human resources. However, the growing migration intention among young generations, reflected in the “#KaburAjaDulu” phenomenon, raises concerns about potential brain drain if not properly managed. University students, as future educated human capital, play a strategic role in national development. This research aims to examine students’ perceptions toward migration intention and to develop a probabilistic model using binary logistic regression. A quantitative approach was applied using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to Universitas Sriwijaya students. The response variable is migration intention, while predictor variables include economic, financial, social, political, career, self-development, quality of life, and public facilities factors. Descriptive analysis shows that students with migration intentions generally have unfavorable perceptions of most predictor variables, while political factors display relatively balanced responses between students with and without migration intentions. The analysis results indicate that several perception variables significantly influence migration intention. The obtained binary logistic regression model is . Financial and self-development factors increase the probability of migration intention, whereas political factors reduce it. These findings highlight financial perception as the dominant predictor influencing students’ intention to migrate abroad and provide empirical evidence to support talent management policies for sustainable national development.

Abstract

Amidst high rates of bullying and suboptimal student character indices, character education remains a critical challenge. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Kuttab educational method as a systemic model for building student character at the Darussalamah Al-Mubarok Islamic Boarding School, Cianjur. This research investigates the relationship between the Kuttab educational pattern and the internalization of student character. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the study employs simple linear regression analysis on 31 respondents. The results of the analysis indicate that the Kuttab educational pattern functions as a systematic stimulus that exerts a positive and significant influence on character development. This model effectively serves as a filter and moral control mechanism to protect students from negative environmental influences. Success in forming a robust moral identity relies on integrating methods of exemplary role modeling (uswah hasanah) and habituation (al-adah) based on faith (iman) and etiquette (adab). The findings demonstrate that the Kuttab pattern serves as a strategic reference for building a more comprehensive and measurable model of character education. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of synergy between the Islamic boarding school environment, families, and social media in ensuring the sustainability of character education.

Abstract

Digitalization of legal services is part of the transformation of public services that promotes efficiency, transparency, and accessibility, including in the notary sector. However, its utilization in rural areas faces challenges such as low digital literacy and limited infrastructure. This study aims to analyze (1) the level of digital literacy among rural communities in utilizing digital-based notary services, and (2) the effectiveness of these services in improving legal access in villages. The research method used is normative juridical, supported by qualitative data obtained through literature studies, interviews with notaries, and focus group discussions with village officials. The results indicate that the level of digital literacy among rural communities is still relatively low, but there is potential for improvement through ongoing mentoring and integration with village government programs. Meanwhile, digital-based notary services are considered quite effective in accelerating legal administration processes, although they require a more stringent legal framework and adequate technological infrastructure support. This study concludes that the development of digital notary services in rural areas can be a strategic innovation to improve legal access, provided there is multi-stakeholder collaboration and strengthened regulations.

Abstract

Human resource quality development is a strategic element for organizational competitiveness in facing the dynamics of global competition. This study aims to develop an adaptive Corporate University-based HR development model with a primary emphasis on strengthening the strategic role of Widyaiswara as the key actor in its successful implementation. The method employed is a systematic journal review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach. A systematic literature search was conducted across major academic databases for articles published between 2020 and 2025. The results indicate that Widyaiswara hold central and multifaceted roles as learning architects, transformational facilitators, as well as coaches and knowledge brokers who determine learning effectiveness and sustainability. The integration of organizational strategic plans with competency-based curricula, actively mediated by Widyaiswara, is proven to significantly enhance professional capacity and public service quality. Nonetheless, operational challenges such as resource limitations, the need for strengthening Widyaiswara capacity, and implementation gaps remain major obstacles to the maturity of this model. In conclusion, Corporate University serves as an effective strategic mechanism for improving HR competence through integrated and collaborative institutional learning functions that position Widyaiswara as organizational change agents.

Abstract

Rapid urbanization in Indonesia, particularly in medium-sized cities such as Palembang, has significantly increased the demand for vertical housing for low-income communities. However, a critical gap persists between infrastructure-oriented housing policies and the sociological realities of residents’ adaptation in dense living environments. This study aims to analyze residents’ adaptation strategies across social, physical, and health dimensions in high-density housing, with a specific focus on Rusun 26 Ilir Palembang. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach following the PRISMA guidelines. Literature was systematically retrieved from Scopus, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Google Scholar, and Garuda databases, resulting in 25 selected articles published between 2020 and 2026.The findings reveal that social adaptation is primarily driven by community cohesion and informal support networks, strongly influenced by local values such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong). Physical adaptation is reflected in interior modifications and the use of multifunctional spaces as responses to spatial constraints. Meanwhile, health adaptation involves collective hygienic practices aimed at mitigating disease risks associated with high-density living conditions. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of these three adaptation dimensions within the context of vertical housing in a medium-sized city. The policy implications highlight the importance of designing housing that is responsive to socio-cultural dynamics and spatial flexibility to ensure sustainable living conditions for residents.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of digital work culture and its impact on the professional practices of healthcare workers at Rumah Sehat Terpadu Dompet Dhuafa Hospital (RS RST DD), focusing on the principles of always on and quick response. Using a qualitative approach with thematic analysis, the study draws on in-depth interviews with 12 participants, including healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, midwives, and pharmacists), administrative staff, SKDP staff, medical record officers, as well as heads of units and departments. The findings reveal that digitalization enhances coordination efficiency and clinical decision-making. Four main themes emerged: Perceptions of digital work culture characterized by always on and quick response patterns; practices of digital technology utilization; the emergence of workaround behaviors as adaptive responses to system barriers; and the impact of digitalization on professional balance and humanistic values. The results indicate that digital work culture improves efficiency, collaboration, and team responsiveness in patient care. However, the constant expectation to stay connected and responsive also generates psychological pressure, emotional exhaustion, and a decline in empathetic interactions between healthcare workers and patients. Within a value-based institutional context, this phenomenon underscores the urgent need for a humanistic and spiritual design of digital work systems one that not only prioritizes efficiency but also preserves empathy, meaningful communication, and the spirit of service as an act of worship. This study emphasizes the importance of organizational policies that promote digital literacy, healthy work boundaries, and the preservation of humanistic values in healthcare services.

Abstract

School dropout is often understood as an indicator of social marginalization that limits young people’s opportunities in economic and social life. However, experiences in many local communities reveal a more complex reality. This study aims to examine how youth without educational credentials maintain social integration through community networks and economic activities in Malaka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with fifteen youth without diplomas in three villages, as well as focus group discussions with village officials, managers of Community Learning Centers (PKBM), and parents. The findings indicate that youth without diplomas remain actively involved in community life through participation in customary, religious, and collective activities. Informal economic activities and family networks function as sources of social legitimacy that enable these youth to gain recognition within the community. Although the absence of formal educational credentials limits access to institutional employment, local communities provide alternative mechanisms of social integration through social capital and economic contribution. These findings suggest that the experiences of youth without diplomas cannot be understood solely through a deficit perspective. Instead, they should be viewed as a process of social adaptation mediated by community networks and mechanisms of social recognition.
