Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher support for early childhood in the Among learning environment based on Tamansiswa theory. The focus of the study is how teachers apply Ki Hajar Dewantara's Among System, educational trilogy, five principles, and the concept of Asah, Asih, Asuh to support holistic child development. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological study approach. Research participants included kindergarten teachers and parents, while data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions, so as to obtain a comprehensive understanding of teacher practices in supporting early childhood. The results show that teachers consistently serve as role models (Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo), guide children in the midst of learning activities (Ing Madya Mangun Karso), and provide encouragement from behind (Tut Wuri Handayani) to foster independence and self-confidence. The application of the five principles of the Among System and the concept of Asah, Asih, Asuh allows children to learn naturally, imitate positive behavior, develop cognitive and socio-emotional abilities, and foster cultural and national values. Parents reported that their children felt comfortable, enthusiastic, and developed into independent, intelligent, and character-based individuals, ready to continue their education. These findings contribute to strengthening the pedagogical framework based on local wisdom in early childhood education discourse and offer practical implications for developing national education policies that emphasize holistic and character-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal considerations of judges in rendering decisions against perpetrators of domestic violence committed by husbands as reflected in Decision Number 135/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Mtw, and to examine the application of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence in the decision. This research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and case approaches. Data were obtained through library research consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials relevant to the research issue. The analysis was conducted qualitatively by examining judicial reasoning based on trial facts, valid evidence, and applicable legal provisions. The findings indicate that the judge comprehensively considered the elements of the criminal act of physical violence as stipulated in Article 44 paragraph (1) of Law Number 23 of 2004. The decision also reflected juridical, sociological, and philosophical considerations in determining the defendant’s guilt. The imposed criminal sanction was deemed proportional as it balanced aggravating and mitigating circumstances appropriately. The implementation of the law in this case demonstrates consistency in law enforcement and a commitment to protecting victims of domestic violence. Nevertheless, greater public legal awareness and the optimization of law enforcement roles remain necessary to prevent similar acts of violence in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the operational system of UPH Kopi Sinar Tani in Ngadhamana Village, Bajawa District, Ngada Regency, using Michael Porter’s value chain evaluation model. The study is motivated by need to develop a comprehensive understanding of how primary and support activities in smallholder coffee management are organized and how they contribute to value creation at the community level. Village-based coffee processing units are often approached in a fragmented manner, particularly with focus on production, which limits analysis of interconnections among stages within value chain. Employing qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed by mapping inbound logistics, operations, outbound logistics, marketing and sales, and service activities, along with supporting activities surrounding them. The findings indicate that UPH Kopi Sinar Tani has developed a community-based value chain, with notable strengths in post-harvest management, farmer partnership relations, and collective working practices. However, limitations remain in strengthening marketing functions, cost recording systems, and managerial capacity. Theoretically, this study extends the application of Porter’s value chain model to the context of rural, community-based coffee enterprises and provides an analytical foundation for formulating strategies aimed at enhancing value added and the sustainability of smallholder coffee processing units.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the influence of Organizational Culture and Work Environment on Employee Performance at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Jakarta Gambir Branch, with Public Service Motivation (PSM) as an intervening variable. The research is grounded in the growing demand for high-quality public services, which requires optimal employee performance aligned with public service values. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed to analyze causal relationships among variables. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 30 employees using a saturated sampling technique, ensuring that all members of the population participated as respondents. Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) was utilized to assess measurement validity, reliability, and structural relationships among constructs. The findings reveal that Organizational Culture and Work Environment have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, both directly and indirectly through PSM. PSM functions as a partial mediation variable, strengthening the relationship between Organizational Culture, Work Environment, and Employee Performance. These results indicate that stronger organizational values and a more conducive work environment enhance employees’ public service motivation, ultimately improving their performance outcomes. The novelty of this research lies in examining the mediating role of PSM within the institutional context of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, which remains underexplored in Indonesian public sector management studies.

Abstract

Open waste burning (OWB) remains a significant challenge in developing nations, particularly in rural areas characterized by limited infrastructure and formal management services. This study aims to analyze how OWB practices in RW 01 Darmasari Village are constructed and reproduced as a normalized social practice. Utilizing a qualitative approach with Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), the research explores the subjective experiences of six purposively selected participants. Pierre Bourdieu’s Social Practice Theory serves as the analytical lens to examine the interplay between habitus, capital, and field. The study identified three central themes (1) community awareness of the impact of waste burning, which is considered minor, (2) waste burning as a normalized collective habit, (3) burning as a practical choice due to the absence of waste management services. The findings conclude that OWB persists because it has become an internalized habitus perceived as a form of domestic independence in maintaining rural cleanliness. Behavioral change cannot be achieved through technical infrastructure alone; it requires community-based interventions that address social norms and risk perceptions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of personal branding and service quality on purchase decisions, with price serving as a mediating variable on the TikTok Shop platform. The increasing trend of online shopping activities has encouraged businesses to strengthen their digital marketing strategies, including enhancing personal branding and improving service quality. This research applies a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 91 students of Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Ahmad Dahlan Lamongan who had made purchases through TikTok Shop using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that personal branding and price have a significant effect on purchase decisions. Meanwhile, service quality does not have a direct effect on purchase decisions. However, personal branding and service quality significantly influence price. Furthermore, price is able to mediate the relationship between personal branding and service quality and purchase decisions. These findings emphasize that price plays a strategic role in shaping consumer purchase decisions on digital platforms.

Abstract

Food farming practices among the Sedulur Sikep community are grounded in cultural values that emphasize the sustainability of human nature relations and subsistence-based livelihood fulfillment. However, when agricultural products enter market distribution chains, farmers encounter marketing constraints and price disparities due to incompatibility with modern market mechanisms. This tension encourages adjustments in food farming practices through the selective adoption of semi-organic systems as a form of negotiation with market demands. This study draws on Mark Granovetter’s concept of embeddedness to examine how economic actions are socially embedded rather than autonomous. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design was employed from April 8, 2024 to January 9, 2026. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that the primary challenge lies not in food production itself, but in limited market access and unequal pricing structures. In response, farmers differentiate agricultural outputs for household consumption, social relations, and market distribution. The semi-organic system is applied selectively as an adaptive strategy, while cultural values remain the foundational framework guiding food farming practices within the community.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the meaning of tourists’ experiences, the importance of service, and the sense of happiness that emerges when traveling by train at Bandung Station. The study is grounded in the role of transportation not only as a means of mobility, but also as a medium that shapes emotional experiences and impressions for travelers. A qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected through interviews with 12 informants, consisting of 8 long-distance and local train passengers, 3 station officers, and 1 station manager, as well as through planned observations and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with NVivo software used as a supporting analytical tool. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of family-oriented Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on employee work engagement and work-life balance, as well as to examine the role of gender as a moderating variable. Data were collected from 85 employees working across various organizations in Bandung City and analyzed using SmartPLS 4 software, encompassing a series of tests including validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The findings indicate that family-oriented HRM practices do not have a significant direct effect on either work engagement or work-life balance. Nevertheless, gender was found to moderate the relationship between family-oriented HRM practices and work engagement, although this moderating effect was not observed for work-life balance. These findings affirm that generic and uniform policy approaches tend to be less effective in optimally supporting employees' professional and personal lives, given that the needs of male and female employees are fundamentally different from one another. Therefore, this study provides strategic insights for managers and policymakers to design and promote more inclusive and gender-responsive HRM practices in order to create a conducive work environment that supports the well-being of all employees.
