Abstract

This study is a literature review that examines the relationship between family acceptance and mental health among gay individuals with HIV positive status, emphasizing psychosocial dynamics in various cultural contexts, including Indonesia. By synthesizing indexed journal articles published in the period 2015–2025 using keywords such as “family acceptance,” “HIV gay mental health,” and “stigma,” this review finds a consistently positive relationship between family acceptance and mental health (combined r = 0.42, p < 0.001 in several meta-analytic subsets). High family acceptance has been shown to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety by around 25–35%, as well as suppress the impact of HIV-related stigma, particularly in collectivist societies where family rejection exacerbates psychological distress. Key emerging themes include the role of emotional support as a resilience factor in young adults (18–30 years) and the moderating role of cultural norms on stigma. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of family-based interventions, such as stigma reduction programs and inclusive counseling, to strengthen social welfare policies that are sensitive to gender and sexual orientation in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze a social movement within the cases of mass protests that occurred in Pati Regency in 2025. This movement involved various social classes actors at the local level and was organized within a short timeframe. This study employed an observational method focused on online social media and discourse analysis approach. Data were obtained through digital media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and mainstream media. The findings show that, first, the social movement was grounded in collective anger toward the authorities’ behavior, which was perceived as insensitive to public sentiment and aspirations. Consequently, the protest mobilized diverse segments of society. Second, digital media played a pivotal role in shaping collective behavior and mobilizing the social movement. Third, the protest movement is classified into three forms they are digital space indignation, massive logistical support provided by the local community, and direct protest actions against the Regent. These actions also involved instances of violent conflict. The collective anger in the mass protests of Pati Regency reflects an evolving public sentiment that is formed and digitally distributed. Moreover, the protest signifies mass indignation toward a political system that tends toward authoritarianism. This study contributes to the study of new social movements and offers practical insights for policymakers by providing an understanding of how the dynamics of collective emotion specifically public anger can evolve into organized social movements through digital networks.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed the way students communicate and access information, with WhatsApp being one of the most widely used platforms. Among Sociology Education students at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, WhatsApp is not only used as a communication tool but also serves as a primary medium for disseminating academic and social information. This study aims to examine the role of WhatsApp in information distribution and to understand how students evaluate and filter the information they receive. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, supported by Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation theory. The findings indicate that WhatsApp plays a significant role in supporting academic activities, such as delivering information, coordinating tasks, and sharing learning materials. However, the rapid flow of information also increases the risk of spreading unverified information, highlighting the importance of strengthening students’ digital literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how open adolescents are when using WhatsApp and how this relates to privacy in the family. The methodology used in this study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach to explore the personal experiences of informants. The data was obtained through in-depth interviews with six students aged between 19 and 21 years old from Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. The results of this study reveal that adolescents widely use WhatsApp as a tool to communicate, share information, and express feelings through various existing features, such as private messages and statuses. Nonetheless, they also tend to be selective in sharing certain information, especially to parents, to maintain their personal privacy. Some informants choose to use privacy features, such as hiding their status from parents, to avoid misunderstandings or potential conflicts within the family. Although WhatsApp helps maintain the relationship between teens and their families, privacy-related tensions persist due to differences in understanding between teens and parents about the use of digital media. These findings show that digital privacy management is an adaptive strategy carried out by adolescents to maintain a balance between self-openness and harmonious family relationships in the era of digital communication.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing negative impacts of mining activities on the environment and society, as well as the suboptimal regulation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) within the Indonesian legal system. The objective of this study is to analyze ESG implementation from a legal perspective and examine its juridical implications for mining companies. This research employs a qualitative method with a normative juridical approach through the analysis of laws, legal doctrines, and scholarly literature. Data collection is conducted through library research and analyzed descriptively using legal interpretation methods. The findings indicate that ESG represents a non-financial norm integrated with sustainable development principles within Indonesian law. ESG regulation remains fragmented across sectoral laws, leading to regulatory disharmony and legal uncertainty. The implementation of ESG in mining companies is still suboptimal, particularly in Environmental, Social, and Governance aspects. Furthermore, ESG encourages a shift from compliance-based to value-based regulation in corporate legal compliance. ESG also expands corporate legal responsibility and enhances Environmental and social protection. In conclusion, strengthening regulations and legal harmonization is necessary to establish ESG as a mandatory standard in the mining sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the elements of al-muhassinat al-ma‘nawiyyah in the poem Qulubu al-Nisa’ Sukhur by Abbas Ibn al-Ahnaf and to examine how these rhetorical devices strengthen emotional expression and enrich meaning. The research addresses how semantic embellishments are employed in classical Arabic love poetry to convey complex emotional messages. This study uses a qualitative library research approach, collecting and reviewing relevant books, journal articles, and scholarly works. The data were analyzed using descriptive content analysis focusing on the poetic text. The findings reveal that the poem contains various elements of al-muhassinat al-ma‘nawiyyah, including tauriyah, thibaq, muqābalah, husnu ta‘līl, ta’kīd al-madh bimā yusyabbihu al-dzamm, and ta’kīd al-dzamm bimā yusyabbihu al-madh. These rhetorical features function not merely as ornamental devices but as meaningful strategies that intensify emotional depth related to love, longing, and suffering. The study concludes that the poem reflects the richness of classical Arabic rhetoric in constructing layered, symbolic, and communicative meanings.

Abstract

The phenomenon of medical disputes following the enactment of Law No. 17 of 2023 indicates the vulnerability of health workers to criminalization when medical services result in patient harm. Despite the issuance of the latest regulations, there is a research gap regarding the operational boundaries between excusable medical risks and punishable professional negligence. This study aims to analyze the legal protection mechanisms for health workers from the latest health law perspective. The research method used is normative legal research with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results show that Law No. 17 of 2023 provides legal protection through professional immunity rights, provided that standard operating procedures are met, along with a filtering mechanism through the Disciplinary Body to prevent premature criminalization. The study concludes that legal protection for health workers is integrative, balancing professional career certainty and patient protection rights through restorative justice. It is recommended that the government immediately issue technical implementing regulations regarding the examination procedures of the Disciplinary Body to ensure uniform procedures for law enforcement officers. Furthermore, health service facilities need to strengthen legal aid systems and risk management to mitigate the escalation of medical disputes in the future.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the education sector has positioned Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a crucial instrument in supporting the learning process. This study aims to systematically analyze the strategic role of teachers in utilizing AI to improve the quality of learning in the digital era. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria in reputable journal databases for the 2022–2026 period, 26 final articles were selected for thematic analysis. The results show that the integration of AI technology, such as adaptive learning systems and generative AI, requires a shift in the teacher's role from a material deliverer to a technology orchestrator and instructional designer. AI is proven to improve learning quality through material personalization and assessment efficiency. However, its effectiveness highly depends on the accuracy of platform selection and the teacher's ethical competence. The main challenges identified include the digital infrastructure gap, the need for increased AI literacy for educators, and the integration of ethical values in technology use. This study concludes that AI does not replace the teacher's role, but rather strengthens the teacher's position as an essential educational curator in the modern learning ecosystem.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between perceived ease of use and repurchase intention by considering customer satisfaction as a mediating variable among Livin’ by Mandiri users in Samarinda. The increasing adoption of digital banking has created intense competition, making it essential for banks to improve user experience in order to maintain customer loyalty. A quantitative research approach was applied using a survey method. Data were obtained from 100 respondents through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The findings reveal that perceived ease of use does not directly influence repurchase intention. However, it has a significant positive impact on customer satisfaction, which subsequently affects repurchase intention. In addition, customer satisfaction functions as a full mediator in the relationship between perceived ease of use and repurchase intention. These results indicate that ease of use alone is insufficient to encourage continued usage unless it contributes to a satisfying user experience. Therefore, banks should prioritize enhancing overall user satisfaction alongside system usability to improve customer retention in digital banking services.
