Abstract

Galeh Village in Tangen District, Sragen Regency has a village head's office or what is usually referred to as a village hall as the center of government and administration at the village level. The village hall is a village-owned building where village residents gather when holding meetings, conferences or deliberations. Apart from holding important meetings to discuss matters related to the village, the village hall also often functions as a place for social activities to take place. Conditions in the field, the village hall office is experiencing problems such as many rooms that are not being used, are outdated, and circulation that is not up to standard. Applying the Neo Vernacular Architectural Concept to the Galeh Village Hall is a solution to the redesign of the hall. The combination of traditional and modern architecture is a characteristic of this architectural concept which can be seen from maintaining the joglo roof, adding batik ornaments and elephant tusk monuments to the building which are characteristic of the Javanese culture of the local community. then combined with the use of modern materials such as brick walls, roster windows, GRC list plans and others.

Abstract

[Peningkatan Kapasitas Produksi Berbasis Kacang Mete melalui Diversifikasi Produk “Enting-Enting Gepuk Mete”] Paper ini menerapkembangkan teknologi penghancur dan penggepuk kacang mete. Teknologi ini diterapkan di UKM kacang mete utuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksinya. Kegiatan penerapan ini meliputi: (i) desain dan pabrikasi mesin mesin penggepuk berkapasitas 40 kg/jam, dan (ii) analisis teknoekonomi. Uji fungsional dan penerapan telah dilakukan pada mesin tesebut. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa mesin penggepuk dapat menghasilkan lembaran adonan sebanyak 40 kg/jam, dengan biaya energi sebesar Rp. 450/kg.

Abstract

Kelareyan Village, Pemalang Regency is topographically a lowland area which is also the economic traffic of Pemalang district, so it is very suitable for agricultural and trading businesses. Kelareyan Village trading commodities are people's daily commodities such as food, beverages, clothing, medicine, and so on. With the position of the region, Kelareyan Village has enormous economic potential from the agricultural and trade sectors. The potential in question is the existence of a herbal beverage production center. In Kelareyan Village, there is a Kelareyan Independent Farmer Business Group (KUT) owned by Mr. Eko by producing instant ginger drinks from ginger-based ingredients. The problem faced by the Independent Farmer Business Group (KUT) is the contraction for ginger grinding with simple manual tools, causing the size of fine ginger to be not uniform so that it is less optimal in quality and quantity of production and other problems, namely the expired date printer that is still simple (stampel) so that it can still be quickly lost on the packaging. Therefore, the community service program that will be implemented focuses on socialization innovations and training on the use of ginger shredding machines and automatic expired date machines. In addition, the program was made with the aim that the Kelareyan Independent Farmer Business Group (KUT) can be more optimal in producinginstant ginger drinks.

Abstract

The potential, opportunities and advantages of the metal industry in Mliwis Cepogo have not been able to drive the people's economy optimally. This condition will be even more complicated because the metal industry, especially in production units, is constrained by equipment for workmanship. The realization of service activities at Zazen Art Galeria partners is principally carried out by strengthening the copper engraving industry, especially production units with the application of plate bending machines. The application of plate bending machines can improve product quality and quantity and increase productivity in production units. Abstract

Vast consumerism especially in the fast fashion industry has been criticised by environmentalists since it increased disposable fashion culture. Social media platforms, websites and apps have become key instruments for communities and organisations to spread awareness and drive transformation in the fashion industry. Meanwhile, due to COVID-19 pandemics, many social welfare institutions suffered from decreased funds and affected protection towards people with low income and specified socio-economic conditions at PPS PGOT Mardi Utomo in Semarang. Leveraging digital media for green campaigns can significantly enhance environmental awareness and sustainable practices among the community. By reopening sewing class and increasing added values in upcycling fashion products with simple stitching models. As supply and demand increased, the upcycling fashion activities needed specific strategies  in ensuring sustainable raw  materials from clothing donation. The utilisation of social media increases people's awareness in eco-friendly campaigns. Wider digital campaign coverage can increase public understanding and participation in donating or purchasing products. The growth of donations through momentum such as Green Ramadan and the introduction of digital campaigns can increase the motivation and entrepreneurial skills of the beneficiaries.

Abstract

Panti Pelayanan Pengemis, Gelandangan, dan Orang Terlantar Mardi Utomo (PGOT Mardi Utomo), located in Kramas Village, Tembalang, is a social institution that provides social welfare by providing social rehabilitation facilities for beggars, homeless people and abandoned people. Many existing beneficiaries also often bring their problems, especially regarding child-rearing patterns. Vulnerable beneficiaries often do not have sufficient knowledge about parenting patterns so there is a need for provision and socialization regarding appropriate parenting patterns and minimizing violence, this paper aims to provide knowledge and explanation of appropriate parenting patterns and minimizing violence directed at people. old. On the other hand, the beneficiaries will also one day leave their underwear behind so they also need to be provided with material about child trafficking to create attention and awareness towards children. This writing uses observation, lecture, and question-and-answer discussion methods. As a result, parents already understand what appropriate parenting styles are and have implemented fairly appropriate parenting patterns. Besides that, parents also understand what human trafficking is and its indications.

Abstract

A square or city square functions as a significant urban catalyst, influencing the urban landscape as it acts as a hub for various social, economic, and cultural activities within a city. Its presence impacts the activities in the surrounding areas, fostering local business growth and providing a space for social interaction that enriches the city's life. However, the existing Sentana square design in Tangen District in Sragen, situated in Katelan Village, requires revitalization to meet the demand for activities and to facilitate communal engagement. A design recommendation has been proposed by the study program of Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Architectural Design, part of the Department of Civil and Planning at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University, through a community service program. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) serves as the primary design approach for the newly designed square, focusing on facilitating markets, supporting small businesses, and promoting local products, which, in turn, supports the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes).

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi perencanaan desain renovasi Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) Tarbiyatul Athfal 53 di Kelurahan Purwosari, Kecamatan Mijen, Semarang. Dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan belajar, pendampingan dilakukan melalui berbagai tahapan, mulai dari identifikasi kebutuhan, penyusunan desain, hingga rencana implementasi renovasi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei lapangan, diskusi dengan pihak sekolah dan masyarakat, serta penyusunan desain arsitektural yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak-anak dan tenaga pengajar. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan panduan yang komprehensif bagi pihak sekolah dalam melaksanakan renovasi yang efektif dan efisien, serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan nyaman bagi anak-anak.

Abstract

This study addresses the pressing issue of organic waste management at the PGOT Mardi Utomo Social Rehabilitation Centre in Semarang, Central Java. The centre, focused on social rehabilitation for individuals facing welfare challenges, grapples with the environmental impact of unmanaged organic waste. Through on-site observation and waste management service by students, this research advocates the use of maggots to transform organic waste into fertilizers. This innovative approach not only reduces waste volume but also yields high-quality organic fertilizers, fostering a renewable and eco-friendly environment. By embracing maggot technology, the rehabilitation centre can efficiently and sustainably address its organic waste challenge, contributing to achieving SDGs Goal 12.

Abstract

Sikunang Village is one of 16 villages in Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java. Sikunang village with an area of 374 km2. Sikunang Village is referred to as an agropolitan village because of its abundant agricultural potential, especially carrots. Carrots that are ready to harvest are directly sold by farmers to middlemen so there has been no diversification of processed products from carrots that have a higher value. So it takes the creativity of citizens in diversifying processed food products from carrots. One of them is processing carrots into carrot jam using appropriate technology. The problem faced is that the jam cooker is still simple manual so that the doneness of the jam is not evenly distributed and some of the burnt is dark in color and the carrot jam filter has a small capacity so that it still cannot be perfectly smooth for the final result. Therefore, the community service program focuses on training innovations in the use of automatic jam cookers and jam filtration tools. In addition, the program was made with the aim that the Information and Counseling Center (PIK) for Adolescents in Sikunang Village and MSMEs in Sikunang Village can be optimal in producing carrot jam. It is expected that diversification of processed carrot jam food products will increase creativity in processing natural resources independently in the village and the economy of surrounding residents.
