Abstract

Teacher discipline plays a pivotal role in maintaining instructional quality and professional integrity within educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of applying reward and punishment systems in improving teachers’ attendance discipline during classroom teaching activities at SD Negeri Cibalagung 2, Bogor City. The research utilized a School Action Research (SAR) design, conducted in two cycles involving ten elementary teachers. Data were collected through observation sheets, attendance records, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively to assess behavioral improvement. The findings revealed a significant increase in teacher punctuality and classroom presence, with the rate of delayed attendance (15 minutes) decreasing from 47.83% in the first cycle to 0% in the second. The implementation of clear incentives and corrective sanctions not only enhanced compliance but also fostered accountability and motivation among teachers. These results suggest that a well-structured reward and punishment mechanism can effectively strengthen organizational discipline, improve teaching consistency, and support the creation of a positive school culture oriented toward quality education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation on employee performance, with involvement and job satisfaction serving as intervening variables at PT. Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang. The research is grounded in the premise that fair and transparent compensation systems play a pivotal role in fostering employees’ sense of belonging, engagement, and satisfaction, which ultimately influence overall performance outcomes. Employing a quantitative explanatory approach, the study collected primary data through a structured questionnaire distributed to company employees across operational and administrative divisions. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling, resulting in a total of 120 valid responses. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the study variables. The results indicate that compensation has a significant positive effect on employee involvement and job satisfaction, both of which, in turn, have a substantial impact on employee performance. Moreover, the mediating analysis reveals that involvement and job satisfaction partially mediate the relationship between compensation and performance, suggesting that financial and non-financial rewards enhance employees’ intrinsic motivation and engagement in their roles. The findings highlight that an equitable compensation structure, coupled with a supportive organizational climate, contributes to higher productivity and commitment. The study offers theoretical contributions to human resource management literature and practical implications for developing performance-based compensation systems that sustain workforce motivation and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has positively impacted various aspects of society. The increasing interest in utilizing information technology advancements by individuals and organizations has become a helpful tool facilitating daily activities. In the context of education, educational institutions have diverse needs in running and managing their operations. One of these needs is to provide access to data and information obtained through the processes of collection, recording, processing, duplication, storage, and transmission until the information is received by decision-makers. If such activities are done manually, efficiency is likely to be compromised. Therefore, school/madrasah leaders need to have a deep understanding of the concepts of big data, analytics, and related technologies to optimize timely and accurate decision-making processes. In this context, leadership and management of schools/madrasahs based on information technology also present new challenges. The data collection for this research employs library research, and content analysis is used as a data analysis technique to examine and understand the content of literature materials. This study aims to address IT-based leadership in the educational context, emphasizing that it goes beyond the ability to operate software or hardware. It focuses on the capacity to leverage IT to design relevant learning strategies and the ability to influence, encourage, guide, direct, and mobilize the entire school community to engage in the development of learning in the digital era. By understanding and applying information technology-based management concepts, school leaders can lead their institutions toward better educational effectiveness and quality.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Project Citizen learning model and students’ creative thinking ability on the development of civic skills among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Tigapanah. The research was motivated by the observed low level of students’ civic skills, which is partly due to the limited use of innovative learning models that foster active participation and creative thinking. The study employed a quasi-experimental method using a 2×2 factorial design. The sample consisted of two classes—VII-1 as the experimental group taught using the Project Citizen model, and VII-2 as the control group taught using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model. Data were collected through tests measuring civic skills and creative thinking ability. The results of the two-way ANOVA analysis show that: (1) students taught using the Project Citizen model achieved higher civic skills scores (mean = 75.65) compared to those taught using the TGT model (mean = 60.62); (2) students with high creative thinking ability outperformed those with low creative thinking ability in civic skills (mean = 87.85 vs. 69.55); and (3) there was a significant interaction between the learning model and creative thinking ability (F = 7.06, p 0.05). These findings indicate that the integration of the Project Citizen model and creative thinking development significantly enhances students’ civic competence by fostering critical, analytical, and participatory learning experiences. The study highlights the importance of adopting innovative, student-centered approaches in civic education to cultivate democratic and socially responsible citizens.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of sustainable planning and development strategies for smart cities by conducting a systematic literature review of research published in reputable international journals. The analysis was carried out using the Scopus database, focusing on studies published in 2020 that examined the relationship between urban planning, sustainable development, and smart city implementation. A total of 270 relevant articles were identified and analyzed using bibliometric techniques with the VOSviewer software to map keyword networks, thematic clusters, and research trends. The findings reveal four dominant thematic clusters: (1) governance and implementation challenges in smart city planning, (2) infrastructure and digital services, (3) sustainability frameworks and policy objectives, and (4) information systems and citizen engagement. The study highlights that sustainable smart city planning requires integration across governance, technology, environment, and social participation dimensions. Moreover, the research indicates that effective planning and development depend on adaptive policies, data-driven decision-making, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. Despite significant progress, disparities in technological infrastructure and governance capacity remain critical challenges, particularly in developing countries. This paper contributes to the conceptual and methodological advancement of smart city research by mapping global knowledge trends and proposing future research directions for sustainable urban development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and self-efficacy on employee performance, with work motivation serving as an intervening variable. The research was conducted at the Public Works and Public Housing Office (PUPR) of Bogor City, which plays a strategic role in implementing public infrastructure development and service programs. The study adopts a quantitative explanatory approach using survey methods with a sample of PUPR employees selected through proportional sampling techniques. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test both direct and indirect effects. The results reveal that organizational culture and self-efficacy have significant positive effects on work motivation and employee performance. Moreover, work motivation partially mediates the relationship between the two independent variables and employee performance. These findings indicate that a strong organizational culture characterized by collaboration, integrity, and innovation combined with high employee self-efficacy enhances motivation and leads to improved work outcomes. The study contributes theoretically by integrating motivational and behavioral frameworks in the public sector context and provides managerial implications for strengthening organizational culture and empowerment programs to optimize civil servant performance in regional government institutions.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence in business creates great opportunities in the field of marketing because as it matures Artificial Intelligence makes it easier to identify and understand consumers. In 2015 Gojek launched an online-based food ordering application service under the name GoFood. Consumers can order food using Go Food by selecting the food or drink they want to buy. However, customer satisfaction is also influenced by the community's readiness to adapt to the fast development of technology, which is called Technology Readiness, where everyone has individual personality traits related to their use of technology. This study examines the dimensions of AI explaining the relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) stimuli and Smart Customer Experience. This type of research uses quantitative methods. In this research, the moderating variable is Technology Readiness, with the independent variable being AI stimuli and the dependent variable being Smart Customer Experience. There are findings in the research that the two dimensions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) (namely passion and utility) have a significant positive impact on the Smart Customer Experience; the moderating effect of the Technology Readiness dimension (ie optimism and discomfort) is significantly different, the Smart Customer Experience has a significant positive impact on consumer word-of-mouth (WOM) intentions.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed the traditional trading system into a digital marketplace that relies on electronic transactions or e-commerce. As online buying and selling activities continue to expand, legal issues concerning the validity and enforceability of electronic agreements have emerged, particularly regarding the role of stamp duty as an instrument of legal assurance. This study aims to analyze the function of stamp duty in providing legal certainty for online sales and purchase agreements under Law Number 10 of 2020 on Stamp Duty and Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law). Employing a qualitative normative legal approach, this research examines statutory regulations, legal doctrines, and relevant literature to interpret the legal status of e-stamps in electronic contracts. The findings reveal that stamp duty serves dual functions—first, as a fiscal instrument for state revenue generation, and second, as a juridical basis for ensuring document authenticity and legal enforceability. The study concludes that the inclusion of a physical or electronic stamp duty (e-stamp) on digital contracts does not solely determine legality but strengthens evidentiary value and public trust in online transactions. The modernization of stamp duty regulation thus represents the government’s effort to adapt fiscal and legal systems to the digital economy, ensuring fairness, transparency, and legal certainty in e-commerce practices.
