Abstract

This study examines the strategies adopted by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) in implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework through Formula 1 racing. As one of the most influential non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in global motorsport, the FIA has integrated sustainability principles into its operational and advocacy activities. Using the Social Purpose NGO Framework by Teegen, Doh, and Vachani, this research analyzes the FIA’s dual approach—operational strategies focused on environmental management and advocacy strategies aimed at public awareness and policy engagement. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method based on secondary data from FIA reports, environmental strategy documents, and previous research from 2019 to 2023. The findings reveal that the FIA’s operational strategies include the transition to renewable energy, the use of biofuels, water conservation initiatives, waste reduction programs, and reforestation projects around race circuits. Meanwhile, its advocacy strategies involve public campaigns, partnerships with organizations such as Ocean Cleanup and UNEP, and initiatives like #WeRaceAsOne to promote climate action and gender equality in motorsport. Collectively, these efforts align with eight priority SDGs, including clean energy, responsible consumption, climate action, and partnerships for the goals. The study concludes that the FIA’s sustainability agenda demonstrates how international sports organizations can act as catalysts for global environmental awareness and sustainable innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role and contribution of transformational leadership in enhancing teachers’ work motivation, particularly in the context of primary education. Using a scoping review approach, this study synthesizes empirical research published between 2020 and 2025, focusing on the relationship between principals’ transformational leadership practices and teacher motivation. The data were collected from open-access academic databases, including Science Direct, Google Scholar, and Open Knowledge Maps, using the keywords “transformational leadership” and “teacher work motivation.” The review identified seven relevant empirical studies that consistently demonstrate a positive and significant influence of transformational leadership on teachers’ motivation and performance. The analysis highlights four key dimensions of transformational leadership that contribute to improving teacher motivation: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Effective principals inspire teachers through vision, emotional engagement, intellectual encouragement, and personal attention, thereby fostering professional growth and organizational commitment. The findings emphasize that the better the implementation of transformational leadership, the higher the teachers’ motivation and work satisfaction, ultimately improving school effectiveness and educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of problem-focused coping and emotional-focused coping on the psychological well-being of teachers during the pandemic. The pandemic created new stressors for teachers who were required to rapidly adapt to online learning technologies while maintaining the quality of instruction and student engagement. Using a quantitative correlational design, the study involved 119 teachers from Muhammadiyah Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Banyumas Regency, selected through simple random sampling from a population of 217 teachers. Three validated instruments were used: the Psychological Well-Being Scale (α = 0.873), Problem-Focused Coping Scale (α = 0.908), and Emotional-Focused Coping Scale (α = 0.865). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results revealed that both problem-focused coping (t = 6.789, p 0.05) and emotional-focused coping (t = 8.964, p 0.05) significantly affected psychological well-being. Simultaneous analysis also confirmed a significant combined influence of the two coping strategies (F = 50.889, p 0.05) with an adjusted R² of 0.458, indicating that 45.8% of the variance in psychological well-being was explained by coping mechanisms. The findings suggest that teachers who apply effective problem-solving strategies and emotional regulation are more capable of maintaining positive mental states, reducing stress, and achieving psychological resilience in their professional duties. The study highlights the importance of fostering adaptive coping strategies through training and institutional support to enhance teachers’ mental health and overall performance in challenging educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure and financial performance on firm value among companies in Indonesia’s food and beverage industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2023 period. Using a quantitative research approach, the study employs panel data regression with purposive sampling across 24 companies, yielding a total of 96 observations. The independent variables consist of ESG disclosure and financial performance indicators, including Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Leverage, while firm value is measured using the Price to Book Value (PBV) ratio. Statistical analysis using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) reveals that ESG disclosure and ROA have a positive and significant effect on firm value, whereas ROE exhibits a negative and significant relationship. Meanwhile, NPM and Leverage show no significant influence. The joint test results indicate that all independent variables simultaneously affect firm value with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 96.12%, suggesting that variations in firm value can be largely explained by ESG disclosure and financial performance metrics. These findings highlight the importance of sustainability reporting and efficient asset utilization in enhancing corporate valuation. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on sustainable finance by emphasizing the role of ESG transparency as a strategic factor influencing investor perception and firm competitiveness in emerging markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher workload as a basis for determining the optimal number of teaching staff at SMA Negeri 1 Berastagi. Human resource management plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and sustainability of educational institutions. The research applies the workload analysis and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) method, following the guidelines of the Indonesian Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Regulation (Permenpan RB) No. 1 of 2020. Using a saturated sampling method, the study involves all 48 civil servant teachers across various subject areas, including mathematics, science, social studies, languages, and general education. The findings reveal disparities in workload distribution, where several teachers experience overload and others underload conditions. These imbalances suggest the need for strategic adjustments, such as adding teachers in physics, chemistry, geography, and economics, while reducing honorary staff in subjects like religion and physical education. The managerial implications highlight the importance of applying the POAC management functions planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling—to achieve workload balance, optimize staffing, and enhance organizational effectiveness. Overall, workload-based human resource planning is essential for improving teacher efficiency and maintaining educational quality.
