Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (2442-8485) & (2460-6316), well-known as GRAMATIKA, is an international forum for original research focused on identities as local contexts, like an identity in linguistics, identity in literature, and identity in language education in global and local contexts, especially in Indonesia. These may include but are not limited to various fields, such as we are interested in interdisciplinary studies examining how issues of linguistics, literature, and education in language influence individual and community identities. In order to publish in GRAMATIKA, a study must have an overview of previous research or theoretical concepts that are packaged to justify the novelty/uniqueness of this study and central focus on local, foreign, minority, heritage, or indigenous languages (or non-standard dialects) and their intersection with either identity and/or education in language, linguistics and literature. We welcome a variety of topics, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches (both qualitative and quantitative). Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia published by Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat, in collaboration with Asosiasi Dosen Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (ADOBSI) and Perkumpulan Pengelola Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Pengajarannya (PPJB-SIP). Issues are published biannual (April and October) in English since 2020. Submissions are open year-around. However, before submitting, please ensure that the manuscript within Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and follows our focus and scope and author guidelines. Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia has been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia in 2018 (SINTA 3). Now, Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia has been accredited SINTA 2 (2020) by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia started from Volume 6 Number 1 (2020). The last accreditation is valid until 2025.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tiga hal sebagai berikut. Pertama, siswa tidak menyukai kegiatan menulis. Kedua, siswa memiliki kemampuan yang rendah dalam menulis karya sastra termasuk cerpen. Ketiga,   siswa jarang membaca karya sastra termasuk karya sastra cerpen. Keempat, kemampuan memahami bacaan siswa masih rendah. Kelima, kemampuan memahami cerpen siswa rendah. Siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan dan memahami unsur-unsur cerpen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan memahami cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Padang dan keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Padang, serta kontribusi kemampuan memahami cerpen terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Padang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Padang dengan sampel berjumlah 30 orang. Penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui dua jenis tes yaitu tes objektif dan tes unjuk kerja. Tes objektif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data memahami bacaan cerpen sedangkan tes unjuk kerja digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data kemampuan menulis cerpen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan disimpulkan hal-hal berikut. Pertama, kemampuan memahami cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Padang pada kualifikasi lebih dari cukup (75,33). Kedua, kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Padang berada pada kualifikasi cukup (63,33). Ketiga, terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara kemampuan memahami cerpen terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen sebesar 61%.

Abstract

Penggunaan bahasa dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kurang diperhatikan oleh guru dan siswa, sedangkan penggunaan bahasa sangat berperan dalam perkembangan keterampilan siswa baik dalam berbicara maupun menulis. Penelitian alih kode dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan: (1) wujud alih kode, dan (2) faktor penyebab terjadinya alih kode yang terjadi dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMK Negeri 1 Banyumas. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data tertulis mengenai peristiwa tutur berupa alih kode guru dan siswa yang muncul pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMK Negeri 1 Banyumas. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah informan dan analisis dokumen. Teknik validitas data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik triangulasi sumber data dan review informan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak dan cakap. Analisis data dengan menggunakan metode padan intralingual. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah masih ditemukan adanya  penggunaan alih kode dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas X dan XI SMK Negeri 1 Banyumas. Alih kode yang ditemukan adalah alih kode jenis intern yaitu dari bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Jawa Banyumasan dan dari Bahasa Jawa ke bahasa Indonesia, dengan bentuk kata, klausa, dan kalimat. Faktor penyebabnya yaitu (1) situasi pembelajaran, dan (2) penutur dan mitra tutur.

Abstract

This article contains a study of lexical metaphors used in the selected poems of Sylvia Plath entitled “Full Fathom Five”, “The Colossus”, “I am Vertical”, “Ariel”, “Lady Lazarus” and “Edge” which focused on representation of sequence changes of death ideas in the poems. This research is conducted by using systemic functional linguistics theory, especially lexical metaphor by Halliday. It is used to look at the data classification of lexical metaphors. As a qualitative descriptive research, it is assisted by using descriptive statisticin doing the analysis. It aims to find out several important formulas such as mean, modus and percentage from the occurence of lexical metaphor. The result of the analysis shows that there are lexical metaphor with noun-noun concept 50.9%, then the concept of noun-verb 38.6% and noun-adjective 10.5%. The dominance of lexical metaphor occurence with noun-noun concept is the representation of death ideas changes in each poem, including death as unacceptable thing, an unavoidable choice, gate for a rebirth and final solution to all life's problems

Abstract

Anak-anak pada zaman sekarang tidak lagi menguasai hanya satu bahasa saja tetapi banyak bahasa. Contohnya di sekolah menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, di rumah menggunakan bahasa ibu, dan di lingkungan masyarakat ada lagi bahasa yang digunakannya. Pelajaran bahasa di sekolah tidak cuma satu bahasa yang dipelajari tetapi bahasa asing juga. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui mengapa anak-anak sekarang ini dapat menguasai banyak bahasa dalam berkomunikasi. Pengguna bahasa yang menggunakan banyak bahasa disebut dengan multilingual. Multilingual maksudnya adalah seseorang yang menggunakan banyak bahasa dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya sesuai dengan konteks dan dengan siapa dia berbicara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu sekarang ini banyak masyarakat menguasai lebih dari satu bahasa. Ini membuktikan bahwa masyarakat di Indonesia khususnya dan di dunia umumnya banyak menggunakan bahasa sebagai alat komunikasi mereka. Penggunaan banyak bahasa dapat memperkaya wawasan masyarakat di suatu daerah itu. Sosiolinguistik menelaah hubungan antara bahasa dan masyarakat. Sosiolinguistik yaitu untuk menjelaskan mengapa penutur menggunakan bahasa secara berbeda-beda dalam konteks sosial yang berdeda-beda.

Abstract

The problems discussed in this study are based on the transition of curriculum changes that often change by government policies and the dominance of the use of English. This problem causes Indonesian proficiency value to be categorized as low. For this reason, a learning strategy in Indonesian is needed to minimize all impacts that occur by offering and modifying existing methods called ethnopragma-educative. This study aims to describe learning methods Indonesian in ethnopragma-educative-based high schools (communication ethnography, pragmatics, and educational interactions. The use of methods is carried out with qualitative description in order to be able to accommodate the reality of language in interactions in the classroom. Observation methods carry out the collection of methods, in-depth interviews, documentation with recording techniques, and pragmatics match techniques, and focusing discussion groups with teachers, stakeholders, and communities in the high school environment. The research results were obtained based on the modification of the three statements are (1) the use of communication ethnographic approaches include eight elements, namely setting and scene, participants, ends, an act of sequences, key, instrumentalities, a norm of interaction, and genres able to accommodate learning situations in the classroom to create effective and efficient learning; (2) the use of pragmatic approaches based on illocution, locution, and perlocution actions can maximize the role of teachers as motivators and inspirators in involving students to participate in Indonesian learning to develop cognitive, psychomotor, and achievement of learning go; (3) the use of educational interaction approaches can create two-way learning that is realized by the question and answer method between teachers and students in the classroom

Abstract

            Perubahan kurikulum menjadi polemik di tengah masyarakat dan pendidikan yang mengacu pada kualitas buku teks. buku teks yang berkualitas dijadikan referensi guru dan siswa untuk proses pembelajaran. Untuk mengetahui buku teks yang berkualitas, dilakukan penelitian dengan fokus masalah kualitas buku teks bahasa dan sastra Indonesia yang meliputi kualitas buku berdasarkan (1) isi, (2) penyajian materi, (3) bahasa dan keterbacaan buku teks, dan (4) format buku.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas buku teks bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Kurikulum 2013 siswa kelas X SMA berdasarkan kesesuaian isi, kesesuaian penyajian materi, bahasa dan keterbacaan, dan format buku teks. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah buku teks Bahasa Indonesia Ekspresi Diri dan Akademik untuk SMA/MAK kelas X. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah: (1) mengidentifikasi data buku teks, (2) mengklasifikasikan data, (3) menginterpretasikan data, dan (4) menarik kesimpulan dengan mepedomani silabus.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian isi silabus pada buku teks pada Kompetensi Inti (KI) 3 adalah baik (B) dengan nilai 3, dan Kompetensi Inti (KI) 4 adalah baik (B) dengan nilai 3. Disimpulkan bahwa secara umum, buku teks Bahasa Indonesia Ekspresi Diri dan Akademik untuk SMA/MAK kelas X dikategorikan baik (B) dengan nilai 3. Rinciannya adalah: kesesuaian isi silabus pada buku teks Kompetensi Dasar (KD) adalah baik (B) dengan nilai 3, dan Indikator adalah baik (B) dengan nilai 3. Kesesuaian penyajian materi pada silabus adalah cukup (C) dengan nilai 2. Kesesuaian bahasa dan keterbacaan buku teks adalah baik (B) dengan nilai 3. Format buku teks Bahasa Indonesia Ekspresi Diri dan Akademik untuk SMA/MAK kelas X adalah baik (B) dengan nilai 3.

Abstract

 ABSTRACTEnglish language is a global language. In order to face the globalization, people have to learn the English language. There are so many ways to develop English vocabulary such as reading bilingual dictionaries, listening to music, speaking to English natives speakers, or even playing games. There some research about learning English by playing games. This research tries to analyze the development of the English vocabulary of the video game players and measure the development either. In this research, the writer made adult players as the target. The writer uses a qualitative method to do this research. Living in the world of technology, the writer decides to use an online questionnaire. Based on the data, there are some characteristics of the video game that develop English vocabulary of the adult players'. The percentage of the English vocabulary development of Clash of Clans game players that is adult players’ is 55%.

Abstract

Cross-language influence in third language acquisition (TLA) relates to the influence of the first (L1) and second (L2) language on the third language acquisition (L3). This study focuses on the lexical transfers that occur in the acquisition of the Indonesian language as L3. The lexical transfer consists of (1) lexical transfers non-adapted; (2) lexical transfer adapted; and (3) semantic lexical transfers. The subject of this study were BIPA students. The Source of data in this research is the conversation between the researcher and the subject of research and production of the sentence by picture by research subject. Results of the study are lexical transfer non-adapted occurs in lexical transfers into L1 and L2. lexical transfers adapted are made by reconciling my form in English with basic words in the Indonesian language; -nya form in the Indonesian language with the basic form in L1/L2; me- and di- form in the Indonesian language paired with the basic form in L1/L2; and the use of a phrase consisting of a combination of words in Indonesian and L1/L2. Semantic lexical transfers are made by the Indonesian language as L3 by using their forms that are inconsistent with their meaning and using word choices that are inconsistent with the context. This study can provide benefits to Indonesian language teachers for foreign speakers (BIPA) in determining learning strategies that are following the language history of BIPA students. Besides, this research is also useful for researchers or academics who study multilingualism in determining the role of the first and second language in third language acquisition.

Abstract

This article  aims to describe the strategy of the use of vocabulary and grammer in general daily news i Singgalang newspaper. The method used is  descriptive method to descripe the use of vocabulary and grammer in writing news writer. The  discusiion carried out in accordance with the opinion expressed by Roger Flower, etal. Vocabulary  and grammer in general daily news in singgalang newspaper tend to marginalize the victim because writers to write descriptions of the perpetrator, while the victim semed to be ignored. Vocabulary used tend vocabulary and grammer marginalizations tend syntax used passive or passivation and nominalition resulting in the removal of the perpetrator in the news. Victims tend to be the main core of the problem

Abstract

The Covid-19 issue has become an issue highlighted across the world's media in recent months. In this case, the public needs correct and credible information to prevent wider transmission. One way to do this is by using Banners that attract people's attention. This paper aims to describe the role of the Covid -19 Banners in increasing public awareness of the emergence of Covid-19 by using a sociolinguistic perspective. The study found that Banners are an important way to reduce the number of Covid-19 emergencies because it is seen as an emergency social warning that the public believes in. The emergence of the Covid-19 Banners presented in many languages aims to make a closer approach to the target community so that it functions properly. These Banners are made so that we can use them to deliver particular messages to the addressee. The method used is descriptive qualitative, where the researchers used contextual techniques to consider social, situational, and cultural aspects background. After being analyzed, those Banners brought at least five functions, informational, expressive, directive, aesthetic, and phatic functions. Those functions are well discussed here by referring to each social context it is attached. The analysis then goes to its sociolinguistics aspects. The use of Javanese covid-19 Banners here aims to create a bonding between Banners makers and the addressee, for those belonging to a certain speech community will feel that these Banners content are worth noticing
