Jurnal Cakrawala Pendas (JCP) is intended to contribute to the field with academic research outcomes and disseminate knowledge about elementary education, including theories, quality of instruction, instructional planning, design, and technology from a disciplinary and/or interdisciplinary holistic approach, but it is not limited with these subjects. Jurnal Cakrawala Pendas (JCP) aims at: (1) Disseminating research findings, either in qualitative or quantitative inquiry; (2) Proposing new discussion directions and issues through literature reviews; (3) Emphasizing creative solutions to the existing problems and issues in the field; (4) Contributing to professional development by discussing research findings in a systematic way.

Abstract

Meaningful and enjoyable learning is a strategy developed by teachers to optimize learning objectives. This strategy encompasses various aspects, including the approach used, material delivery, engaging instructional media, and creating a pleasant learning environment (Tisza & Markopoulos, 2021). The research was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) approach, commonly known as development research that results in a product. The purpose of this study was to develop a digital comic-based flat geometry learning media grounded in ethno-pedagogy to enhance elementary school students’ mathematical connections in lower grades. The ADDIE model, developed by Dick and Carey in 1996, was employed as the framework for designing the instructional system (Mulyanitiningsih, 2016).The research outcomes, based on expert validation and field testing, indicate that the digital comic-based flat geometry learning media grounded in ethno-pedagogy aligns well with usability, appropriateness, accuracy, and suitability. The expert validation resulted in an 86% score, with an average material expert score of 96%, categorized as ‘Highly Suitable.’ Additionally, the language experts provided an average score of 82.5%, categorized as ‘Suitable.’ Overall, the combined scores from the experts yielded an 88.16% rating of ‘Highly Suitable’ for use with elementary school students. Based on the effectiveness test, the digital comic-based flat geometry learning media grounded in ethno-pedagogy demonstrated a positive impact on mathematical connections. The N-Gain calculation resulted in an average N-Gain score of 0.7061, categorized as "High.”

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach with R&D methods using the ADDIE development model. The aim of this study is to know the design, validity and effectiveness of the development of learning media of QR Code Quartet Cards. This research was conducted in the V class of SD State Wonosari 2, Semarang. The sample technique used was stratified random sampling used to select a sample with a stratured population of seven participants in a small-scale trial with details of two high-level, three middle-level and two low-level students. The data collection techniques used are nontest, which include observations, interviews, requests, qualifications and responses, as well as test techniques. The results of the media statistics test meet the eligibility aspects of 100% media expert rating (very eligible), 80.9% material expert selection. (very eligible). In addition to meeting the aspect of effectiveness proved by t-test pairs obtained a significance result of 0,00<0,05 so that H0 was rejected and Ha accepted. The N-Gain test got an average of 0.65 which belongs to the middle category and in a percentage of 65.16% so the interpretation belonging to the category is quite effective.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of less than optimal media in Indonesian language learning, especially poetry material. This is because of the lack of creativity of teachers in utilizing technology and learning is only centered on textbooks so that students find it difficult to understand the learning materials delivered by teachers. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media in the form of an Android-based application "Dimensi". The research method used in this study is the Design and Development (D&D) method with the research design following the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) model. The subject of this study is grade V elementary school students with a total of 31 elementary school students in Rancaekek. The five research results according to the stages of ADDIE are as follows. 1) "Dimensi" media is developed based on an analysis of the needs of teachers and students, including the lack of learning media facilities that can support the learning process as a learning medium for poetry material in grade V of elementary school 2) The design stage is carried out by producing design components that will be contained in the "Dimensi" media, 3) The "Dimensi" media is developed using Kodular as the main application in the form of an android-based application (apk) with memory storage of 9.9 MB, 4) "Dimensi" media was implemented and evaluated through an expert validation test with an average percentage of 91% obtained by media experts, 93% by material experts, and 77%, 5) The results of student responses showed a percentage assessment of the Android application-based "Dimensi" media of 95% in the limited test and 92% in the broad test with very good criteria and can be used as a learning medium in the Indonesian content of class V poetry material for student.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the fact that there are still many college students who do not understand the environmental material, which can be detrimental to the content of the IPAS subject, because the teacher has not used the media optimally, resulting in students misunderstanding the environmental material, which can be detrimental to the content of the IPAS subject. This study aims to develop a smart box media for a damaged environment and test the feasibility and effectiveness of smart box media. The research method used is the research and development method with the Borg and Gall development model. The subjects of this research were 5th grade students of SD N 2 Banteran, Banyumas Regency conducted in May 2024. The methods used in this research are interviews, observations, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The instruments used were interview guidelines, documentation, needs and feedback questionnaires, pretest and posttest questions, and validation sheets. Data analysis was done by normality test, t-test, and n-gain test. The results of this study indicate that smart box media is feasible to use with a percentage of feasibility from material validators 87.7% and media validators 86.6%. The results of the small-scale normality test of 0.415 and large-scale of 0.155 mean that the data is normally distributed. The results of the small-scale n-gain test amounted to 0.4517, a large scale of 0.4880 including the medium category. This study concludes that smart box media is feasible and effective to use as a learning media for IPAS in the classroom.

Abstract

This research examines the internalization of religious and cultural values at SD Alam Palembang and its impact on students' spiritual intelligence formation. The research results show that SD Alam Palembang has successfully integrated religious values into various aspects of school activities, both in the curriculum and extracurricular activities. This integration is carried out through holistic learning methods that link subject matter to religious values, moral and religious stories, and good interaction with nature. School facilitators play a crucial role in instilling religious values through creative and integrative approaches. Research also reveals that the internalization of religious and cultural values significantly contributes to the formation of students' spiritual intelligence. Students understand and apply religious concepts in everyday life through congregational worship, joint prayer, social activities, and love of nature, which refers to activities Green Lap SD Alam Palembang. This internalization process has proven effective in forming intellectually intelligent students with strong spiritual and moral depth

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenge of improving the literary literacy skills of elementary school students, which are often considered boring using conventional learning methods. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of digital teaching materials in improving literary literacy skills, as well as the interests and motivations of 5th grade elementary school students in Majalengka Regency, West Java.. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design in two groups: the Experimental Group which used digital teaching materials and the Control Group which used conventional methods. The research sample consisted of 60 grade 5 students, with each group consisting of 30 students. Data collection techniques include literary literacy tests, interest and motivation questionnaires, and classroom observations. Data analysis was done using statistical tests to compare changes in pre-test and post-test scores between the two groups. The research results showed that the use of digital teaching materials significantly improved the literary literacy skills of students in the Experimental Group compared to the Control Group. The average literary literacy score in the Experimental Group increased from 45 to 72, while in the Control Group, it only increased from 43 to 55. Students' interest and motivation also increased more significantly in the Experimental Group. In conclusion, digital teaching materials effectively improve students' literary literacy skills, interest, and motivation. The implication is that teachers and schools are advised to integrate technology into literature learning, and policymakers need to support using digital teaching materials in the national curriculum to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Membaca merupakan kunci utama dalam proses belajar. Sebagai seorang pelajar, mahasiswa harus memiliki pengetahuan yang luas. Untuk mendapatkan wawasan atau pengetahuan yang luas yaitu dengan membaca, semakin banyak membaca maka akan semakin banyak pula pengetahuan baru yang didapatnya. Oleh akrena itu, mahasiswa harus memiliki kebiasaan membaca yang baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kebiasaan membaca dikalangan mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber datanya yaitu 30 mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Sumedang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa membaca dapat menambah wawasan baru yaitu berupa kosa kata baru hingga informasi-informasi yang belum pernah diketahui. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk membangun kebiasaan membaca yaitu dengan mengatur jadwal kegiatan harian. Selain itu juga, kegiatan membaca dapat dilakukan untuk mengisi waktu luang sehingga waktu luang yang dimiliki dapat bermanfaat. Kebanyakan orang tidak suka membaca karena membaca itu merupakan kegiatan yang membosankan dan dapat membuat mengantuk ditambah dengan isi bacaan yang kurang diminati dan tampilannya kurang menarik. Hal tersebut membuat mahasiswa tidak memiliki motivasi untuk membaca.

Abstract

Kemampuan metakognisi yang dimiliki mahasiswa memiliki hubungan dengan pencapaian pembelajaran. Mahasasiswa diarahkan untuk mengobservasi tentang apa yang mereka ketahui dan kerjakan, dan untuk merefleksi tentang apa yang dia obsevasi. Dalam mengkaji dan menganalisis RPP mahasiswa belum memiliki pemikiran yang kritis terhadap suatu persoalan, copy paste yang selalu mereka lakukan. Masalah tersebut terkait dengan kemampuan metakognisi mahasiswa calon guru SD masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh konjektur secara komprehensif kaitannya dengan kemampuan metakognisi mahasiswa PGSD UMC dalam menyusun RPP Tematik (K13) melalui strategi Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan strategi Discovery Learning (DL). Penelitian menggunakan rancangan penelitian Mixed Method dengan desain sequential eksplanatori. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD semester IV Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon sebanyak 30 mahasiswa. Teknik sampling sampling yang digunakan non-probability karena jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak populasi. Instrumen pedoman penilaian penyusunan RPP mahasiswa yang mengacu kepada dua indikator alat ukur yakni pengetahuan tentang kognisi dan regulasi kognisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan metakognisi mahasiswa dalam menysusun RPP antara PBL dan Strategi DL signifikan menunjukkan 0,000<0,05. Kemampuan metakognisi mahasiswa dalam Menyusun RPP berdasarkan berdasakran tingkat kepercayaan diri signifikan menunjukkan 0,000<0,05. Terdapat pengaruh interaksi TKD mahasiswa dan implementasi Strategi PBL dan DL terhadap kemampuan metakognisi mahasiswa dalam Menyusun RPP menunjukkan dengan taraf siginifikan 0,707<0,05.

Abstract

Literasi dan numerasi merupakan kompetensi dasar yang dibutuhkan oleh peserta didik untuk menganalisis suatu bacaan maupun angka dalam berbagai konteks. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa kompetensi literasi dan numerasi peserta didik di Indonesia masih sangat kurang. Oleh sebab itu, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan melalui kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) mengadakan sebuah program bernama Kampus Mengajar, yang mana mengajak mahasiswa untuk berkontribusi dalam menguatkan pembelajaran literasi dan numerasi peserta didik, khususnya pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar. Mahasiswa terjun langsung untuk membantu sekolah, guru, dan peserta didik sesuai dengan kondisi sekolah dan kebutuhan yang ada. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, maka mahasiswa Kampus Mengajar melakukan kegiatan bimbingan AKM kepada peserta didik kelas V untuk meningkatkan kompetensi literasi dan numerasi serta mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi Asesmen Nasional yang akan diselenggarakan. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis bagaimana implementasi program kampus mengajar angkatan 2 di SDN Pasirangin 01 dengan merujuk pada model implementasi David C. Korten dalam kaitannya dengan peningkatan kompetensi literasi dan numerasi melalui bimbingan AKM (Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum). Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan ialah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi selama kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Program Kampus Mengajar angkatan 2 di SDN Pasirangin 01 berjalan dengan baik dan lancar serta memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi literasi dan numerasi peserta didik kelas V.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi POAC pada penerimaan peserta didik baru masa pandemi covid 19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan di SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian ialah Ketua PPDB dengan informan Kepala Sekolah dan Wali Calon Peserta Didik Baru. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah: 1) Planning meliputi kegiatan penetapan kuota peserta didik baru tahun pelajaran 2021/2022, penetapan persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi oleh calon peserta didik baru, persiapan media sosialisasi PPBD secara online dan offline, persiapan sarana dan prasarana penunjang pelaksanaan PPDB, dan penyusunan rencana anggaran belanja kegiatan PPDB; 2) Organizing meliputi kegiatan pembentukan panitia PPDB, pembagian tugas masing-masing anggota panitia secara spesifik, pengaturan jadwal pendaftaran PPDB, penentuan waktu seleksi dan mengatur jadwal kerja masing-masing anggota panitia, dan penentuan waktu pengumunan hasil seleksi PPDB; 3) Actuating meliputi kegiatan sosialisasi PPDB secara online dan offline, pelaksanaan pendaftaran, proses seleksi, dan penyampaian hasil seleksi PPDB, datar ulang calon peserta didik baru, pengumuman penetapan peserta didik baru; 4) Controlling meliputi kegiatan pengawasan aktif (dekat) dan pasif. Pengawasan aktif dilakukan pada waktu dan tempat dilaksanakannya PPDB, sedangkan pengawasan pasif dilakukan dengan menganalisis laporan pertanggungjawaban (LPJ) pelaksanaan PPDB dari awal sampai akhir.
